A Minneapolis il round 6 del campionato Supercross, ha dato spettacolo per il tracciato molto difficile a causa del tracciato stretto, quindi pista estremamente difficile nei sorpassi ma alcuni piloti sono riusciti a fare la differenza!!! Un vincitore che inizia ad impensierire gli avversari per la stagione 2019, fortunatamente chi può lottare per il titolo è li, infatti sono molto serrati in campionato………. col cambio di leader ancra una volta, Ken Roczen, molti piloti e Team devono ancora arrivare alla piena forma. Cooper Webb: “”Ottenere tre vittorie quest’anno è piuttosto spettacolare, soprattutto arrivando dalla scorsa settimana – quella brutta gara nel fango – ma non ho mai perso la fiducia, non ho mai perso la fiducia e sapevo di essere ancora bravo. Mi sentivo bene tutto il giorno oggi e poterlo vedere nella gara di qualifica, vincere, e poi vincere il main è piuttosto speciale. È bello, devo pizzicarmi perché ho percorso un lungo cammino in un breve lasso di tempo. È pazzesco cosa ti cambia un anno o sei mesi. Negli ultimi due anni questo posto ha concluso la mia stagione, quindi è bello riprendersi da questo e non mollare mai, non dubitare mai di me, fare un cambiamento e attenersi ad esso. Voglio continuare a fare bene e fare quello che sto facendo. Sicuramente ho molto da migliorare e molto da imparare, ma vedremo se possiamo andare avanti “.
Ken Roczen: “Avrei potuto essere più aggressivo. Ho appena notato che, una volta raggiunto Cooper lui poi ha preso il largo. Mi sentivo molto bene, era presto quando Joey era ancora in testa, avevo un paio di buoni punti, e mi sono avvicinato un po ‘a Cooper. Ma non potevo passarlo. Dopo che è passato al comando, ho notato che Joey si stava stancando o forse altro, ma stavo ancora andando abbastanza bene da non poter passare. Ho dovuto scegliere un po ‘le mie battaglie. Il modo in cui queste curve erano e l’intensità che abbiamo avuto, non volevo fare una mossa sciocca, aggressiva e fare un errore. Marvin Musquin: “È stata sicuramente una serata difficile. Ho fatto davvero fatica nella gara di qualifica mentre correvo in seconda posizione – ho commesso un piccolo errore che mi è costato un sacco di tempo e poi di nuovo, ho centrato la palla e sono sceso di nuovo. Con una scelta davvero pessima, sapevo che sarebbe stato difficile scegliere all’interno o all’esterno del cancello, ma ho scelto di andare molto lontano e non ho avuto la partenza che volevo. Ero molto interno e sono uscito fuori dalla top-ten, ma su una pista del genere, è super difficile essere in quella posizione per fare passaggi. Mi ci è voluto molto tempo per entrare nella top-five e stavo spingendo per aggirare [Blake] Baggett e sfortunatamente, è andato giù forte, spero che sia a posto. Una volta ero in terza posizione, ho provato a dare una spinta al secondo, ma c’era un grande gap e fisicamente ho dato molto quando stavo cercando di passare ragazzi per la maggior parte del Main Event. Decisamente difficile, ma essere terzo sul podio questa sera è un buon risultato, considerando da dove sono arrivato con la gara di quali e la partenza, quindi lo prenderò come insegnamento sicuramente. ”
Eli Tomac: “I campionati si vincono nei giorni difficili e oggi siamo riusciti a farcela. I lati positivi sono che è una lunga stagione e lasciamo Minneapolis in buona salute e solo due punti fuori dal primo posto. Tornerò a lavorare con l’intero team di Monster Energy Kawasaki e continuerò a migliorare ogni settimana. ”
Joey Savatgy: “L’uomo di oggi è stato semplicemente fantastico. Ovviamente mi sarebbe piaciuto vincere l’evento principale, ma abbiamo imparato tanto. Devi iniziare da qualche parte con l’esperienza dei giri in testa e stasera abbiamo realizzato quello. Il mio KX450 è stato una nave spaziale per tutto il giorno e mi ha aiutato a iniziare bene la giornata, prima ci siamo qualificati e poi siamo arrivati al terzo posto nella gara di qualifica. Nell’evento principale, ho fatto un bel salto fuori dal cancello e sono riuscito a fare un rapido passaggio in prima. Devo ripulire alcuni errori, ma questa sera è stato un grande passo nella giusta direzione “.
Justin Barcia (9°): “Entrando nell’evento principale non ho apportato alcuna modifica alla moto, o qualcosa del genere mi sentivo davvero a mio agio. Avevo ragione sul gruppo principale di ragazzi di fronte a me, sono appena arrivato nella curva piuttosto veloce, ho spinto tanto nella parte iniziale e ho finito per scendere piuttosto fino al nono posto. Per me è stata una gara frustrante, per non dire altro, perché mi sentivo in grado di salire sul podio questa sera e lottare per la vittoria. È decisamente frustrante, ma mi sentivo come se fossi tornato in me stesso, comfort e roba del genere, mi sentivo bene con la moto. Ero felice della mia guida, avrei voluto farlo meglio l’evento principale. Passando al prossimo fine settimana voglio solo iniziare bene e tornare in vantaggio ”

Austin Forkner: “Oggi è stato come un sogno diventato realtà. Hai fatto un sacco di lavoro in bassa stagione e arrivi al primo turno senza essere sicuro di dove sarai rispetto alla concorrenza. Non ti avrei mai creduto se mi avessi detto che sarei venuto qui oggi e sarei stato il più veloce in qualifica, holeshot nella mia gara di quali, vincere, holeshot l’evento principale, e poi vincere l’evento principale. È solo una follia e non posso ringraziare tutto il mio team Monster Energy / Pro Circuit / Kawasaki per avermi fornito la migliore attrezzatura possibile per realizzare ciò che abbiamo fatto oggi. Sono eccitato per Dallas e pronto a mantenere questo treno in rotazione! ”

Cooper Webb: “To get three wins this year is pretty spectacular, especially bouncing back from last week – having that bad race in the mud – but I never lost belief, never lost faith and knew I was still good. I felt good all day today and to be able to apply it in the heat race, win that, and then win the main was pretty special. It’s cool, I have to pinch myself because I’ve come such a long way in a short amount of time. It’s crazy what a year or half a year will do to you. The last two years this place ended my season, so it’s pretty cool to bounce back from that and never give up, never doubt myself, make a change and stick to it. I want to keep doing well and doing what I’m doing. I definitely feel like I have a lot to improve on and a lot to learn but we’ll see if we can keep going.”
Ken Roczen: ““I could to have been more aggressive. I just noticed that, once Cooper got by him, Cooper gapped us. I felt really good, and early on when Joey was still leading, I had a couple of good spots, and I kind of came up on Cooper a little bit. But I couldn’t pass him. After Cooper passed for the lead, I noticed that Joey was getting tired or whatever, but he was still going good enough where we couldn’t pass. I had to pick my battles a little bit. The way these turns are, and the intensity that we brought, I didn’t want to do a silly, aggressive move and bump up on the inside. I just wanted to do it in a smart way, but I waited too long, for sure.” “I had a little wheelie on the start, and I came around in third. I was just in third forever because it’s just really hard to pass out there; it gets rutty and we’re all kind of taking similar lines. I felt really good, but I couldn’t ever make the pass happen, and once Cooper [Webb] got by Joey [Savatgy], he gapped us. I wish I would’ve had a clear lap earlier because I feel like I could’ve done a charge toward the end, but with these turns and the intensity we brought, I didn’t want to just do a silly, aggressive move and bump up on the inside. I just took a little bit too long, but I’m happy with second place and back in the points lead. I still want to win, but it’s all good to get out of here healthy.”
Marvin Musquin: “It was definitely a tough night. I made it really hard on myself going down in the heat race while running in second – I made a little mistake that cost me big time and then again, I hit neutral and went down again. With a really bad gate pick, I knew it was going to be hard to choose either inside or outside on the gate but I chose to go very far inside and I didn’t get the start I wanted. I was tight inside and came out top-ten but on a track like that, it’s super tough to be in that position to make passes. It took me a long time to get into the top-five and I was pushing to get around [Blake] Baggett and unfortunately, he went down hard, hopefully he’s okay. Once I was in third, I tried to give a push for second but there was a gap and physically I gave a lot when I was trying to pass guys for most of the Main Event. Definitely tough, but to be third on the podium tonight is a good result considering where I came from with the heat race and the start, so I’ll definitely take it.”
Eli Tomac: “Championships are won on your bad days and today we managed everything thrown our way. The positives are that it is a long season and we leave Minneapolis healthy and only two points outside of first place. I’ll get back to work with the entire Monster Energy Kawasaki crew and continue to improve each week.”
Joey Savatgy: “Man today was just awesome. Of course I would have liked to win the main event, but we learned so much. You have to start somewhere with getting the experience of leading laps and tonight we accomplished that. My KX450 was a rocket ship all day long and helped me get the day started properly as we qualified first and then got third in the heat race. In the main event, I got a great jump out the gate and was able to make a quick pass into first. I need to clean up a few mistakes but tonight was a big step in the right direction.”
Chad Reed (5°): “
Justin Barcia (7°): ““Going into the main event I didn’t make any bike changes, or anything like that I was really comfortable. I was right on the main pack of guys in front of me, I just came into the corner pretty quick, pushed my front end and ended up going down pretty hard and rode home to ninth. For me it was a frustrating race to say the least because I felt like I was capable of being on the podium tonight and fighting for the win. It’s definitely frustrating, but I felt like I was back to myself again, comfort wise and stuff, I felt good on the bike. I was happy with my riding, just wish I could’ve done better in the main event. Moving on to next weekend I just want to have good starts and get back up front.”

Austin Forkner: ““Today was like a dream come true. You put in a lot of work all off-season and you come to the first round never sure of where you will stack up compared to competition. I would have never believed you if you told me I would come here today and be fastest in qualifying, holeshot my heat race, win my heat race, holeshot the main event, and then win the main event. It’s just crazy and I can’t thank my whole Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team for giving me the best possible equipment to accomplish what we did today. I am excited for Dallas and ready to keep this train rolling!”
