ELGARI PORTA LA TM 125 FI SUL TETTO DEL MONDO

Sabato 6 e Domenica 7 Aprile in terra portoghese si sono ufficialmente aperti i battenti della stagione 2024 del Campionato del mondo FIM EnduroGP e la cittadina di Fafe, a circa 50 km da Porto, è stata teatro dell’evento inaugurale della stagione con una gara magistralmente organizzata per l’occasione dal Motoclub Natureza Alternativa.

Il weekend di gara del GP del Portogallo ha preso il via nella giornata di Venerdì 5 Aprile con la tradizionale parata per le vie della città di Fafe seguita in serata dal tanto atteso Super Test gremito di pubblico che ha dato il via ufficiale al week end di gara e alla stagione 2024 EnduroGP. 

Il percorso di gara del primo round della stagione 2024, in cui si sono dati battagli i nostri piloti, prevedeva nell’ordine un Cross Test di 4,8 Km su terreno duro e a tratti fangoso, seguito da un Enduro Test lungo 6  km  con terreno duro misto a sassi e da un Extreme Test in chiusura di giro tanto spettacolare quanto insidioso per le sue classiche rocce e pietre tipiche delle gare portoghesi per una lunghezza totale di 1,5 Km. Tre i giri da compiere in ciascuna giornata di gara per un totale di diciotto prove speciali durante l’intero weekend. 

Debutto mondiale per il nostro Alberto, dove non si è fatto intimorire ne dalla gara ne dagli avversari. In entrambe le giornate ha sempra lottato per le prime posizioni. Sabato purtroppo la caduta della catena della sua moto nella seconda prova estrema gli ha negato il podio finale, concludendo la giornata in sesta posizione. Domenica è partito subito forte, poi alcuni errori lo hanno rallentato, ma nel finale si è ripreso e non ha lasciato spazio agli avversari andando a vincere la sua prima gara di Campionato del Mondo. Una giornata che, sia per lui che per il Team, sarà indimenticabile.

Assenti i suoi due compagni di squadra ancora in recupero dagli infortuni.

Deny Philippaerts: “Quest’inverno ha lavorato bene e immaginavo che avrebbe potuto far bene, ma non così fin da subito!!. Ci ha stupiti tutti per la freddezza con cui ha affrontato questa gara. Peccato per sabato, ma ha dimostrato subito carattere e determinazione!! Un ottimo lavoro. Avanti così. Speriamo di recuperare presto anche i suoi due compagni di squadra.”

On Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April the doors of the 2024 season of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship officially opened on Portuguese soil and the town of Fafe, about 50 km from Porto, was the scene of the inaugural event of the season with a masterfully raced organized for the occasion by the Motoclub Natureza Alternativa.
The Portuguese GP race weekend kicked off on Friday 5 April with the traditional parade through the streets of the city of Fafe followed in the evening by the long-awaited Super Test packed with spectators which officially kicked off the weekend of race and the 2024 EnduroGP season.

The race route of the first round of the 2024 season, in which our riders battled, included a 4.8 km Cross Test on hard and at times muddy terrain, followed by a 6 km long Enduro Test with hard mixed with stones and an Extreme Test at the end of the lap that is as spectacular as it is treacherous due to its classic rocks and stones typical of Portuguese races for a total length of 1.5 km. Three laps to complete on each day of competition for a total of eighteen special tests during the entire weekend.

World debut for our Alberto, where he was not intimidated by the race or his opponents. On both days he always fought for the top positions. Unfortunately on Saturday the chain of his bike fell in the second extreme test denied him the final podium, ending the day in sixth position. On Sunday he started off strong straight away, then some errors slowed him down, but in the end he recovered and left no room for his rivals, going on to win his first World Championship race. A day that, both for him and for the Team, will be unforgettable.

His two teammates still recovering from injuries were absent.

Deny Philippaerts: “He worked well this winter and I imagined he could do well, but not like this straight away!!. He surprised us all with the coolness with which he faced this race. It’s a shame about Saturday, but he immediately showed character and determination!! Excellent work. Keep going. We hope to recover his two teammates soon too.”

 CAVALLO SUBITO A PODIO

MACORITTO E LE QUERE RALLENTATI DA PROBLEMI FISICI

Grande prova per Matteo Cavallo al GP di apertura, il pilota piemontese sin dal Super Test di venerdì sera ha espresso il suo potenziale e nelle due giornate di gara ha raccolto un terzo e un secondo posto nella classe E3. Attualmente nella classe E3 Matteo Cavallo occupa la seconda posizione  nella classifica provvisoria.

Nella classe E1 Lorenzo Macoritto in Portogallo ha raccolto due settimi posti. Il pilota friulano ha corso una gara regolare,anche se rallentato da un problema intestinale che ha fermato diversi piloti. Rimane la soddisfazione di una grande prova nel Super Test del venerdì sera dove ha registrato il terzo miglior tempo di classe.

Lo score di Leo Le Quere è di due decimi posti nella classe E2. Il pilota francese è reduce da un infortunio ad un polso che lo ha tenuto fermo sei settimane e in Portogallo è arrivato non al meglio della sua condizione fisica.

Jarno: “Inizio Campionato dolce amaro. Molto soddisfatto dell’impegno dei ragazzi e dei risultati di Cavallo. Purtroppo per Leò ci vorrà ancora un pò di tempo per riprendersi al 100% dall’infortunio alla mano, ma da vero duro a terminato la gara. Macoritto dopo una prima giornata un pò ad alti e bassi, domenica ha sofferto per un virus intestinale che ha colpito anche altri. Sappiamo che possiamo raccogliere di più. Non posso però non lodare la loro dedizione ed il loro impegno. Ora guardiamo al prossimo week end.”

Il Circus dell’ Enduro non si ferma ed archiviata la prima tappa portoghese della stagione 2024, è già in marcia per raggiungere Valpagos, sempre in terra Portoghese, dove si disputerà  il prossimo weekend 13 el 14 Aprile il secondo round della stagione 2024.

CAVALLO ON THE PODIUM

DIFFICULT WEEK END FOR MACORITTO AND LE QUERE

Great performance for Matteo Cavallo at the opening GP, the Piedmontese driver has expressed his potential since the Super Test on Friday evening and in the two days of competition he achieved a third and a second place in the E3 class. Currently in the E3 class Matteo Cavallo occupies second position in the provisional ranking.
In the E1 class Lorenzo Macoritto in Portugal achieved two seventh places. The Friulian driver ran a regular race, although slowed down by an intestinal problem which stopped several riders. What remains is the satisfaction of a great performance in the Super Test on Friday evening where he recorded the third best time in his class.
Leo Le Quere’s score is two tenths in the E2 class. The French rider is recovering from a wrist injury that kept him out of action for six weeks and arrived in Portugal not in his best physical condition.

Jarno: “Bitter/sweet start to the Championship. Very satisfied with the boys’ commitment and Cavallo’s results. Unfortunately for Leo it will still take some time to recover 100% from his hand injury, but as a real tough guy he finished the race. Macoritto, after a first day with some ups and downs, suffered from an intestinal virus on Sunday which also affected others. We know that we can collect more. However, I cannot fail to praise their dedication and commitment. Now let’s look at the next weekend.”

The Enduro Circus does not stop and having archived the first Portuguese stage of the 2024 season, it is already on the move to reach Valpagos, still on Portuguese soil, where the second round of the 2024 season will take place next weekend 13 and 14 April.
