Un Nazioni veramente particolare, lo ricorderemo per molti fattori, il dominio della Francia che a casa loro avevano la squadra migliore anche se non hanno dominato assolutamente, in gara 2 non avevano praticamente nessuno e sono riusciti a portare i piloti al primo e secondo posto, complimenti comunque!
Lo ricorderemo per la guida e la tenacia di Jett Lawrence, un ragazzo di 21 anni che non ha rivali, il ragazzo che farà la nuova storia del motocross, l’eroe dei due mondi amico di tutti ma in pista nessuna pietà e pochi secondi prima aggancia il launch control a Roczen! Quel Kenny che con una Suzuki con avviamento a pedale e dichiarata vecchia per molti, lui si permette di spegnerla in gara 1, accenderla e finire terzo, mentre in gara 3 parte davanti e dopo esser passato da Jett finisce secondo ma vince l’assoluta!
Lo ricorderemo per la nostra Italia, tre ragazzi giovanissimi che segnano il terzo posto assoluto dopo aver preso parole da tutto e tutti, BRAVI RAGAZZI!
Lo ricorderemo per il pubblico francese che già dal venerdì erano a colorare l’evento che, a parer nostro ormai il Nazioni ha bisogno di più spazio, sia in termini di pista che per il pubblico per guardare dove vogliono la gara!
Tutto sommato è stato un bel Nazioni che ha regalato un sacco di emozioni come sempre e con questo si chiude la stagione ma lascia aperto il cuore per tutto quello visto!

FRANCIA
Romain Febvre: “È incredibile vincere di nuovo; il mio quarto nazioni e la mia quarta vittoria. Non ero completamente a mio agio con la pista ieri in qualifica, ma sapevo di avere la capacità di cambiare la situazione oggi. Ho fatto una buona partenza – secondo a Prado – nella prima manche e poi è stato come una gara di GP con me che lo inseguivo. Mi ha superato verso la fine e la lotta era aperta; sapevo che dovevo fare qualcosa e l’ho superato di nuovo con due giri a finire. Tom (Vialle) ha fatto più di quanto potessimo aspettarci finendo secondo in totale dietro a Maxime (Renaux) nella seconda gara, quindi non ci restava che tornare a casa nella manche finale. Ognuno di noi ha vinto nella propria classe e avevamo un grande distacco dal secondo. Sono così felice per i tifosi che ci hanno sostenuto così fortemente tutto il giorno; abbiamo corso come una squadra… e abbiamo vinto come una squadra!”
Maxime Renaux: “Questo fine settimana è stato fantastico. Sono arrivato primo e terzo nelle mie gare e ieri ho vinto la Qualifying Race, quindi ho davvero aiutato la squadra a raggiungere il gradino più alto insieme ai miei compagni di squadra, che anche oggi sono stati molto forti. Entrambi hanno fatto un ottimo lavoro. Credevo davvero che fossimo la squadra migliore oggi. Sono felice di aver potuto mettere insieme tutto perché non è mai facile, soprattutto con la pressione del pubblico francese. Ma è stato davvero fantastico! Non ho mai visto così tante persone in un posto, e vedere tutti cantare e applaudire in questo modo, è stato davvero emozionante”.
Tom Vialle: “Ho trascorso un fine settimana fantastico e sono felice di essere tornato. Ernee è una traccia che mi piace molto. Ho vinto la gara di qualificazione ma la prima gara non è stata così facile. Non potevo mettermi così a mio agio perché era piuttosto scivoloso e il secondo era decisamente migliore. I fan erano fantastici. Siamo venuti qui per vincere e ce l’abbiamo fatta”.
AUSTRALIA
Jett Lawrence: La prima gara, la partenza non è stata poi così male, ero lì. Ero tra i primi 10 e pensavo di avere buone possibilità di vincerla, ma ho fatto un passaggio aggressivo all’esterno e sono caduto. Partire ultimo non è stato l’ideale, ma ho avuto un buon flusso in pista, mi sentivo in forma e non mi sono stancato per niente. I miei ultimi sei giri sono stati i più veloci, quindi ne ero soddisfatto. Nella seconda manche volevo uscire e vincere la cosa. Ho fatto una buona partenza, intorno al terzo, poi ho fatto un rapido passaggio per il secondo e stavo di nuovo inseguendo Kenny come in America. Mi sono sentito a casa, anche se aveva linee molto migliori rispetto a me all’inizio, quindi l’ho seguito per un po’, ma una volta riuscito a aggirarlo, ho abbassato la testa e scorrevo proprio come a casa. È stato bello ottenere la vittoria e finire in alto.
Hunter Lawrence: È stato il miglior risultato di sempre per l’Australia, quindi è fantastico, ma non vedo l’ora che arrivi il prossimo anno. È stata una giornata selvaggia, la pista era davvero rovinata, era brutale, quindi siamo felici che tutti siano stati in grado di fare del loro meglio, e i ragazzi hanno dato il massimo e hanno lasciato tutto in pista. Se tutti danno il 100% del loro impegno, non puoi chiedere molto di più.
Dean Ferris: “Oggi è stato fantastico. Ero entusiasta di essere stato scelto per rappresentare l’Australia con questi due ragazzi. Ho ottenuto un buon risultato nella prima gara, e questo è stato sufficiente per poter andare sul podio. Sono anche entusiasta di non essermi fatto male ieri. Ho avuto un grave incidente nella gara di qualificazione e sono stato molto fortunato a rialzarmi senza un graffio. Quindi, ero entusiasta e così felice di far parte di questa squadra e di questo evento.
ITALIA
Alberto Forato: “Dopo la caduta e le contusioni riportate in Inghilterra, non ero sicuro di poter essere al massimo della forma per questo evento. Ma sapevo che avrei dato il massimo fino alla fine. Ero fiducioso perché la nostra squadra è giovane ma forte e in futuro potremo fare ancora meglio.”
Andrea Adamo: “Un fine settimana fantastico per noi anche se ho avuto qualche problema sabato e nella prima manche con alcune cadute. Non ero super felice e non mi sentivo benissimo, ma è stato anche divertente essere qui e questo ha contato molto. La mia partenza migliore nella seconda manche mi ha permesso di fare alcuni sorpassi e lottare per la terza posizione. Sono stato felice di aver preso il quarto posto perché questo risultato complessivo significa molto per noi. Le altre squadre avevano molta più esperienza e quindi questa sembra una vittoria”.
Andrea Bonacorsi: “È stato un ottimo fine settimana. Voglio ringraziare la squadra italiana per l’opportunità datami. Pochi avrebbero scommesso sul nostro podio ma ce l’abbiamo fatta. Sono emozioni fantastiche.” “È stato qualcosa di straordinario. Quando ieri sono uscito per il giro di osservazione e ho visto la folla, mi è venuta la pelle d’oca. È stato incredibile. Mi diverto davvero a guidare una 450cc. Sento di aver imparato molto e Sono molto grato di avere l’opportunità di correre per il Team Italia. Abbiamo lottato davvero duramente questo fine settimana e, a dire il vero, penso che nessuno avrebbe scommesso su di noi sul podio, quindi per noi, tre giovani piloti, essere qui sul podio è stata come una vittoria”.

MOTOCROSS of NATIONS 2023 – FRANCE ERNÈE – RESULTS! FRANCE WINNER!
FRANCE
Maxime Renaux: “This weekend has been amazing. I went first and third in my races and won the Qualifying Race yesterday, so I really helped the team reach the top step along with my teammates, who were also really strong today. Both of them did a great job. I really believed we were the best team today. I am just happy that we could put it together because it’s never easy, especially with the pressure from the French crowd. But, it was really amazing! I have never seen so many people in one place, and to have everyone singing and cheering like this, it was really emotional.”
Tom Vialle: “I had a great weekend and I was happy to be back. Ernee is a track I really like. I won the Qualifying race but the first race wasn’t so easy. I couldn’t get that comfortable because it was pretty slippery and the second one was way-better. The fans were amazing. We came here to win and we did it.”
Romain Febvre: “It’s unbelievable to win again; my fourth Nations and my fourth victory. I wasn’t completely comfortable with the track yesterday in Qualifying but I knew that I had the ability to turn it round today. I took a good start – second to Prado – in the first moto and then it was like a GP race with me chasing him down. He passed me back near the end and the fight was on; I knew I had to do something and I passed him again with two laps to go. Tom (Vialle) did more than we could expect to finish second in total to Maxime (Renaux) in the second race, so we just had to ride it home in the final moto. Each of us won in our class and we had a big gap to second. I’m so happy for the fans who were behind us so strongly all day; we rode as a team … and we won as a team!”
AUSTRALIA
Jett Lawrence: The first race, the start wasn’t too bad, I was there. I was in the top 10 and I thought I had a good chance of winning it but I made an aggressive pass on the outside and went down. Starting dead last wasn’t ideal but I had a pretty good flow around the track and felt fit and didn’t get tired at all. My last six laps were the fastest so I was happy with that. The second moto I wanted to go out and win the thing. I had a decent start, around third, then I made a quick move for second and was chasing Kenny again like back in America. I felt at home, although he had a lot better lines than I did at the start so I was following him for a bit, but once I was able to get around him, I put my head down and flowed just like home. It was good to get the win and finish on a high.
Hunter Lawrence: It was the best result ever for Australia, so its awesome but I’m already looking forward to next year. It was a wild day, the track was super gnarly, it was brutal so we’re happy that everyone was able to do their best, and the boys gave their all, and left everything on the track. If everyone gives their 100% effort, you can’t ask for much more.
Dean Ferris: “Today was awesome. I was stoked to get chosen to represent Australia with these two boys (Jett and Hunter Lawrence). I had a decent result in the first race, and that was good enough for us to get on the box. I’m also stoked I didn’t get hurt yesterday. I had a massive crash in the Qualifying Race, and I was very lucky to get up without a scratch. So, I was pumped with that, and so happy to be a part of this team and this event.”
ITALIA
Alberto Forato: “After the fall and the bruises suffered in England, I wasn’t sure I could be in top shape for this event. But I knew I would give my best until the end. I was confident because our team is young but strong and in the future we can do even better.”
Andrea Adamo: “An amazing weekend for us even if I had some issues on Saturday and the first moto with some crashes. I wasn’t super-happy and not feeling great but it was also fun to be here and that counted for a lot. My better start in the second moto meant I could make some passes and battle for P3. I was happy to take P4 because this overall result means a lot for us. The other teams had much more experience and so this feels like a win.”
Andrea Bonacorsi: “It was an excellent weekend. I want to thank the Italian team for the opportunity given to me. Few would have bet on our podium but we did it. They are fantastic emotions.” “This was something amazing. When I went out for the sighting lap yesterday and saw the crowd, I got goosebumps. It was incredible. I really enjoy riding a 450cc. I feel like I learned a lot, and I am very thankful for this opportunity to ride for Team Italy. We fought really hard this weekend, and to be honest, I think not a single person would have bet on us to be on the podium, so for us, three young riders, to be here on the podium, it felt like a win.”
