Infortunio per Simon Langenfelder

Simon Langenfelder (team Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing) martedì 9 Maggio in allenamento è incappato in una caduta ed ha riportato una lesione al braccio destro. E’ stato operato nella notte stessa. L’infortunio lo costringe ad un periodo di stop, proprio dopo lo splendido successo nel Gran Premio di Spagna di domenica scorsa, dove ha vinto entrambe le manche con la sua MC 250F.
Langenfelder è attualmente quarto nella classifica del campionato MX2, a soli quattro punti dal terzo posto, dopo un convincente inizio di stagione nel Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM 2023. Simon, terzo in classifica finale della passata stagione MX2, quest’anno è sempre stato nella top-ten delle dodici manche finora disputate (sei GP) e ha già raccolto tre vittorie di manche, e una di GP, confermando i suoi progressi nella categoria MX2.
L’infortunio al braccio, ovviamente, lo costringerà  a sospendere per un periodo di tempo la sua partecipazione al Mondiale. Ulteriori informazioni sulle tempistiche saranno rese note in seguito. Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing augura al giovane talento tedesco una pronta guarigione. Il team non vede l’ora che torni in sella alla sua MC 250F.

Ieri sera è stato subito operato dal Dr. Nannarini e dalla sua equipe… non posso che ringraziarli infinitamente. Questa è la parte peggiore di questo sport, ma sono sicuro che Simon tornerà presto!”

SIMON LANGENFELDER SIDELINED WITH ARM INJURY

Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing’s Simon Langenfelder sustained an unfortunate injury to his right arm in practice on Tuesday, May 09, and underwent surgery that night. The injury will stop him from building on the momentum that he gained at this past weekend’s Grand Prix of Spain, where he stormed to 1-1 results on his MC 250F.

Langenfelder is currently fourth in the MX2 championship standings, just four points from the rider in third, and was enjoying a consistent start to the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship. ‘516’ had not fallen from the top ten in any of the motos and won three of the twelve stints that had been run. Those triumphs were a clear sign of his exciting progress in the MX2 division.
 
The arm injury will, of course, sideline him. Further information on timelines is set to be published in due course. Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing wish the young star a speedy recovery. The team cannot wait to see him back in action aboard his MC 250F.
