MXGP e sapore internazionale
Con la stagione MXGP 2023 che si avvicina sempre di più, tutti i piloti di spicco stanno cercando di assicurarsi che la loro preparazione sia il modo perfetto per arrivare al round di apertura della stagione in Argentina, con tutte le caselle spuntate e pronte a segnare punti importanti.
Mentre i nomi più importanti dello sport riceveranno molta attenzione nel 2023, ci sarà anche un lungo elenco di nazionalità che potrebbero svolgere il ruolo di supporto di artisti del calibro di Tim Gajser, Jeffrey Herlings e Romain Febvre e Jeremy Seewer.
Naturalmente, essendo il FIM Motocross World Championship c’è una lunga lista di piloti, provenienti da tutto il mondo e quando lo sloveno Tim Gajser scenderà in linea sul circuito della Patagonia, si schiererà con piloti di decine di altre nazioni, facendo questo un vero Campionato del Mondo.
L’Italia ha la maggior parte dei piloti MXGP con Mattia Guadagnini, Alessandro Lupino, Alberto Forato, Nicholas Lapucci e Ivo Monticelli mentre i francesi, che avranno nomi come Romain Febvre, Maxime Renaux, Benoit Paturel e Stephen Rubini, gli olandesi, con Jeffrey Herlings , Glenn Coldenhoff e Brian Bogers. La Spagna ha i brillanti servizi di due piloti ufficiali in GasGas Jorge Prado e in HRC Ruben Fernandez, mentre la Svizzera vedrà Jeremy Seewer, Kevin Brumann e Valentin Guillod mettere in gioco i loro nomi.
Diverse nazioni hanno corridori singoli in fila, dall’Australia con Mitch Evans, Lettonia con Pauls Jonass, Belgio con Brent Van Doninck, Sud Africa con Calvin Vlaanderen, Inghilterra con Ben Watson, Svezia con Alvin Östlund, Estonia con Hardi Roosiorg.
I piloti Wild Card saranno dalla Germania, Tom Koch, Maximilian Spies e Henry Jacobi, dall’Inghilterra Adam Sterry, dall’Olanda Davy Pootjes e dal Sudafrica Tristan Purdon.
Senza dubbio, quando viaggeremo in Argentina, Indonesia, Vietnam o persino in Turchia, ci saranno piloti locali che si godranno le loro esperienze di Gran Premio, così come i locali di uno qualsiasi dei round europei del campionato 2023.
L’anno scorso, una mezza dozzina di piloti argentini hanno corso il loro Gran Premio di casa, mentre piloti provenienti da Venezuela, Uruguay e Cile hanno corso anche sul bellissimo circuito MXGP della Patagonia-Argentina. Per i round indonesiani riceviamo sempre una manciata di piloti locali e alcuni australiani che volano per correre quell’evento.
Cosa porteranno i round all’estero nel 2023, è troppo presto per dire quanti locali potrebbero iscriversi, tuttavia con i campionati nazionali in Argentina, Vietnam e Indonesia che crescono ogni anno, sai solo che rimarremo sorpresi dalle prestazioni dei locali per queste fughe.
Quindi, con noi che iniziamo con l’MXGP di Patagonia-Argentina il 12 marzo e terminiamo a Matterley Basin il 15 ottobre, tieni d’occhio gli elenchi degli iscritti mentre il nostro sport continua a crescere in tutto il mondo e in molte occasioni paesi che non hanno mai avuto l’esperienza del Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross.

MXGP and International Flavour
With the 2023 MXGP season moving closer and closer, all the leading riders are looking at making sure their preparation is the perfect way to arrive at the opening round of the season in Argentina, with all the boxes ticked and ready to score major points.
While the sport’s major names will get a lot of attention in 2023, there will also be a long list of nationalities that might play the supporting role to the likes of Tim Gajser, Jeffrey Herlings, and Romain Febvre and Jeremy Seewer.
Of course, being the FIM Motocross World Championship there is a long list of riders, from all over the World and when Slovenian Tim Gajser goes to the line at the Patagonia circuit, he will be lining up with riders from dozens of other nations, making this a true World Championship.

No doubt when we’ll travel to Argentina, Indonesia, Vietnam or even Turkey there will be local riders enjoying their Grand Prix experiences, as will locals from any of the European rounds of the 2023 championship.
Last year, half a dozen riders from Argentina raced their home Grand Prix, while riders from Venezuela, Uruguay and Chile also raced the beautiful MXGP of Patagonia-Argentina track. For the Indonesian rounds we always get a handful of local riders and a few Australians flying over to race that event.
What the overseas rounds bring in 2023, it is too early to tell how many locals might sign up, however with national championships in Argentina, Vietnam and Indonesia growing each year, you just know we are going to be surprised by the performances of the locals for these fly-aways.
So, with us starting with the MXGP of Patagonia-Argentina on March 12 and ending at Matterley Basin on October 15, keep an eye on the entry lists as our sport continues to grow around the world and on many occasions countries that have never had the experience of the FIM Motocross World Championship.
