C’è poco da dire, o meglio, non vogliamo dilungarci perchè siamo sempre e solo alla quarta gara stagionale, certo che chi è motivato e leggermente più in forma si vede, ma stanno arrivando tutti, due parole le spediamo su Zach Osborne che ha fatto una gara PAZZESCA, da ultimo bloccato al cancello, ha fatto una carica fino al 5° posto e che tempi, se si fosse trovato davanti avrebbe detto la sua tranquillamente!!! Parliamo anche di Barcia che è stato “tamponato” in partenza e anche lui è ripartito da ultimo o quasi ma forse troppa foga lo porta a diversi errori nel trascorso della gara, infatti i tempi ci sono ma chiude solo al 13° posto e anche se è 5° in classifica non basta!!!
Roczen, il grande atteso dalla prima gara, tante vicende da gestire ma lui ha trovato il modo per farsi scivolare addosso tutto e ad ogni gara è un avventura nuova, così si porta a casa il 4° round e anche se sbaglia riprende il comando su Tomac che aveva un pò di rigidità in alcuni punti, bene anche Cianciarulo che prima dell’errore è rimasto con Ken ed Eli lasciando il 4° a oltre 15 secondi di svantaggio! Insomma, Roczen tabella rossa ma leggermente attardato Webb che chiude al terzo grazie agli errori di altri, non pervenuti M.Stewart, Ferrandis, Plessinger, Musquin e Anderson!!!
Ultima nota, Jett Lawrence, CHE PASSO RAGAZZI, prende un folle e si trova attardato alla prima curva, verso la fine spinge talmente tanto che va a prendere i primi, mentre attacca Craig per il secondo posto, lo stesso decide di portarlo fuori finendo in disastro sia Craig che Lawrence perdendo entrambi punti importanti, ma meritava tutto il 2° e anche la vittoria, se non avesse sbagliato cambiata!

Ken Roczen: “Ho solo avuto una grande motivazione per vincere in generale, non ha nulla a che fare con gli ultimi due round. È stato chiacchierato sempre di più l’ultimo episodio (Houston 3) , il che c’è da aspettarselo, è stato un grosso problema, ma avevo finito e mi ero dimenticato molto prima che tutti smettessero di parlarne. Volevo solo vincere, ecco tutto. Sto solo cercando di fare del mio meglio, ma non sto andando avanti su questo “Ho avuto secondi e primi, quindi ora sono il ragazzo al comando”. Sto solo cercando di mettere da parte l’ego e godermi il processo. ”
Eli Tomac: “La partenza è stata fantastica, una gara infernale per entrambi. Entrambi abbiamo commesso i nostri errori e lui mi ha insegnato a usare quelle linee. Stavo dormendo su alcune zone, l’ho dato via all’esterno. Quella è stata una delle migliori gare della mia carriera, combattere in quel modo è stato davvero emozionante. Mi piacerebbe essere al top, ma è stato divertente e li prenderemo la prossima settimana “.
Cooper Webb: “E ‘stato strano, la mia partenza è stata davvero buona, Joey è uscito come un razzo, ha frenato bruscamente ed Eli ci ha aggirato all’esterno. Sono stato imbottigliato dietro di lui, e sono finito per tornare quinto, poi ho sbagliato un ritmo e sono tornato indietro. Colt Nichols: “Sono stato in grado di tenere sotto controllo quei ragazzi, stavo cercando di gestire la gara dalla parte anteriore. A volte vedevo Jett avvicinarsi a Christian, e ho sentito la folla impazzire mentre attraversavo il traguardo, e sapevo che non stavano tifando per me! Nel complesso sono stato felice di essere in prima linea lontano dal dramma. Sicuramente ha reso la mia vita molto più facile. Sapevo che Christian era dietro di me, era confortante, sapevo che non avrebbe fatto niente di così pazzo. Mi sentivo bene.”
Michael Mosiman: “Non volevo dire nulla, o usare solo parole, volevo solo dimostrarlo con le mie azioni. Non ero entusiasta” Devo abbattere questo ragazzo “ma si è presentata un’opportunità. La folla è impazzita! È stato divertente e la squadra è stata amplificata, e penso che io e Jett siamo a posto, capisce, ci siamo imbattuti per la prima volta alla fine della serata. Notte pulita, inizio migliore ed ero con Christian e Colt fuori dal cancello. Ho fatto due errori al quinto giro o giù di lì. Non ho visto i ragazzi della Star per tutto l’anno, ma c’è stato un momento in cui mi sono effettivamente sistemato dietro a Christian, ed ero tipo “Aspetta, dovrei passarlo!” Grandi progressi stasera, Jett ce lo ha detto davvero stasera e ce l’ha fatta davvero. C’è più velocità là fuori, devo solo trovarla giro dopo giro. ”
Jo Shimoda: “Non era proprio un podio, perché Jett mi ha aggirato, stasera stava andando davvero bene e anche Christian era davanti a me. Quindi è finito per essere un podio, ma la prossima volta che prendo un podio, voglio farlo io stesso.”
Jett Lawrence: “Ho avuto una partenza davvero dura, un folle all’inizio, e sul salto cul muro sono andato in stallo e sono stato un idiota per questo. Pensavo di poter passare Christian in quell’ultima curva, ci siamo agganciati e non ero messo bene, ma ci siamo ingarbugliati e non potevo andare. Ho messo il mio cuore in questi ultimi due round e fa schifo che finisca così “.

’I’ve just had huge motivation to win in general, it had nothing to do with the last couple of rounds,” said Honda HRC’s Roczen. “It got hyped up more and more, which is to be expected, it was a big deal, but I was over it and had moved on well before everyone had stopped talking about it. I just wanted to win, that’s all. I’m just trying my hardest, but I’m not getting on this “I’ve had seconds and firsts so I’m the guy now.” I’m just trying to put the ego aside and just enjoy the process.”
“The start there was cool, hell of a race for both of us,” said Tomac. “We both made our mistakes, and he schooled me in that sweeper. I was sleeping on that one, I gave it away on the outside. That was one of the best races of my career, to battle like that, it was really exciting. I’d love to be on top, but that was fun and we’ll get them next week.”
“It was weird, my start was really good, Joey came out like a rocket ship, he braked gnarly and Eli came around us on the outside,” said Webb. “I got bottled up behind him, and ended up going back to fifth, then I made a mistake in a rhythm and went back. Early on I saw who was out front and I was like, “Shit, track position is key.” I was trying to get around and I started making little mistakes trying to force things. I kind of took a deep breath and calmed down and accepted those guys being out there and out front. I knew if I could get Ferrandis or Savatgy a fourth would be there, and if someone would make a mistake we would be good. Adam ended up going down and that kinda made third more reachable. Yeah, like the guys are saying, it’s track position right now, and it wasn’t great for those two laps.”

“I was able to kind of keep tabs on those guys, I was trying to manage the race from the front,” said Nichols, of Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha. “I could see Jett closing on Christian at times, and I heard the crowd going crazy as I went across the finish, and I knew they weren’t cheering for me! Overall I was happy to be out front away from the drama. Definitely made my life a lot easier. I knew Christian was behind me, that was comforting, I knew he wasn’t going to do anything that crazy. Felt good.”
“I didn’t want to say anything, or just use words, I just wanted to show it with my actions,” said Mosiman, of TLD/Red Bull GasGas. “I wasn’t gung-ho “I gotta take this guy down” but an opportunity presented itself. Crowd went nuts! It was fun and the team was amped, and I think Jett and I are cool, he gets it, we first bumped at the end of the night. Clean night, better start and I was with Christian and Colt out of the gate. I made two mistakes on lap five or so. I haven’t seen the Star guys all year, but there was a time where I was actually settled in behind Christian, and I was like “Wait I should pass him!” Big progress tonight, Jett really put it to us tonight and really came through. There’s more speed out there, I just have to find it lap by lap.”
“It wasn’t really a podium, because Jett went around me, he was riding really good tonight and Christian was ahead of me, too,” Shimoda, of Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki, admitted. “So it ended up being a podium, but the next time I get a podium, I want to get a podium myself.”
“I had a really rough start, neutral off the start, and on the wall jump I stalled and I was an idiot for that,” he said. “I thought I could get Christian in that last corner, we came together and I wasn’t too phased but we got tangled up and I couldn’t go. I put my heart into these last two rounds and it sucks that it ends up like that.”
