Ken Roczen: “Questo è stato l’obiettivo per me, abbiamo dovuto fare qualcosa perché ovviamente con lui [Tomac] che fa clic e vince … Devo vincere, non c’è modo di aggirarlo. Ottenere buoni inizi è sicuramente la chiave. Quindi abbiamo dovuto andare davanti. Ovviamente vogliamo vincere ogni fine settimana. Non stavo sottolineando nulla perché erano solo sette i punti di gap con Tomac che entrava in gara, ma non volevamo che il gap aumentasse ulteriormente. Penso che la tabella rossa stia bene sulla mia moto — ovviamente è bello averla su qualsiasi moto, ma mi piace molto il rosso. Questa vittoria è stata molto importante per noi. Sono contento che l’abbiamo fatto. E le vittorie sono super divertenti e diventano avvincenti. Era solo la nostra notte. Mi sono integrato davvero bene con la moto. Non ho avuto pensieri e non ho cambiato nulla. La stagione è ancora lunga, ma gli ultimi round sono stati difficili. Non ero me stesso. Abbiamo minimizzato il danno in quei giorni, ma stasera abbiamo vinto e questo è fantastico. ”
Justin Barcia: Che gara folle! Ho iniziato a metà del gruppo e ho fatto molti passaggi all’inizio. In un certo senso sono entrato in un solco nel mezzo ed ero dietro un paio di ragazzi in attesa di alcuni errori per capitalizzare qualcosa. Hanno iniziato a crollare un po ‘e sono stato in grado di passare in seconda posizione verso la fine e sono andato davvero forte. La pista si è rovinata molto. È stato il main event più duro che ho guidato da un po ‘di tempo, ma tutto sommato, mi sono sentito davvero bene e la moto era solida. Non posso ringraziare abbastanza tutto il team per aver apportato buoni cambiamenti alla moto tutto il giorno e aver sempre creduto in me.
Webb: “È stata probabilmente la gara più dura che abbia mai avuto. Ero tornato indietro e ho appena abbassato la testa e ho cercato di fare il meglio che potevo. Ho ricevuto alcuni regali dai ragazzi davanti a me, ma amico, è stato doloroso. Sapevo che non sarebbe stato divertente o facile, ma è corsa. È lunga, ma l’unica cosa che mi fa andare avanti è questo campionato, quindi faremo tutto il possibile. ”
Ken Roczen: “That was the goal for me, we had to do something because obviously with him [Tomac] clicking off wins…I have to win, there’s no way around it. Getting good starts is definitely key. So we had to get up front. Obviously we want to win any weekend. I wasn’t stressing anything because it was only seven points [gap to Tomac entering the race] but we didn’t want that gap to get any bigger. I think it [the red plate] looks good on my bike—obviously it looks good to have it on any bike but I really like the all red. This win was super important to us. I’m glad we pulled it off. And the wins are super fun and they get addicting. It was just our night. I gelled really well with the bike. I had no complaints there and didn’t change anything. The season is still long, but the last few rounds have been tough. I just wasn’t myself. We minimized the damage on those days, but tonight, we won and this is awesome.”
Justin Barcia: What a crazy race! I started middle of the pack and made lots of passes in the beginning. I kind of got into a groove in the middle and was behind a couple guys waiting for some mistakes to capitalize on something. They started falling apart a little and I was able to move into second towards the end and just rode really solid. The track broke down a lot. It was the roughest supercross I’ve ridden in a while, but all in all, I felt really good and the bike was solid. I can’t thank the whole team enough for making good changes on the bike all day and always believing in me.
Webb: “That was probably the hardest race I’ve ever had. I was way back and just put my head down and tried to do the best I can. I got a few gifts from the guys ahead of me but man, it was painful. I knew it wasn’t going to be fun or easy, but that’s racing. It’s a long way out but the only thing keeping me going is this championship, so we’ll do whatever we can.”
