Oakland, un altro round, il 4°, che ha dato spettacolo, un vincitore che conferma quanto si pensava in passato, Cooper Webb è alla sua vittoria di carriera nella 450, la stagione Supercross 2019 sembra andare avanti in maniera esagerata e i primi 5 sono tutti li, tutti molto vicini e la situazione si fa interessante, sia perchè siamo ad inizio campionato, molti piloti e Team devono ancora arrivare alla piena forma. Cooper Webb: “Oakland è stato un grande giorno per me. E ‘stata una gara perfetta – sono riuscito a guidare dall’inizio alla fine. Alla fine ho avuto delle pressioni da parte di Marvin, ma ho resistito e sono riuscito a ottenere una vittoria, quindi sono entusiasta. Due anni consecutivi e la prima volta che ho avuto la tabella rossa nella mia carriera, è piuttosto sorprendente, quindi speriamo di poter continuare. Abbiamo una lunga stagione da fare, ma sono stati due fantastici weekend, quindi torneremo al lavoro lunedì. Grazie al team Red Bull KTM per aver creduto in me e aver recuperato qui. E ‘stato fantastico vedere la KTM dominare stasera con 1-2-3 sul podio e 1-2 per me e Marv negli ultimi due weekend “.
Marvin Musquin: ” E ‘stato super intenso e fisicamente è difficile là fuori, sto decisamente migliorando. Questa settimana sono stato in grado di guidare tutta la settimana, quindi sto migliorando sempre di più. Quella pista è stata sicuramente difficile per tutti e specialmente per quelle whoops, ma l’ho capito nel Main e sono riuscito a superare alcuni ragazzi. E ‘frustrante, ho guidato molto bene, sono davvero felice ma potrebbe essere stata mia stasera ma succederà, senza scuse. Sono andato giù ma sono stato il più veloce e sono riuscito a superare quei ragazzi e ad essere un po ‘più coerente. Sono un po ‘stanco, finire dietro a Cooper non è divertente ma è bello, sto facendo progressi. Il secondo posto è buono, ci sono molti punti ma voglio vincere di sicuro. ”
Blake Baggett: “Ho avuto una specie di calo, è successo, una mancanza di ossigeno, poi ho colpito di nuovo. Era come essere sulle montagne russe alte e basse in corsa. Credo di aver bisogno di lavorare il prossimo weekend, di sicuro. Un podio è fantastico stasera perché sono stato sepolto dal gruppo, ho avuto una brutta partenza, e non pensavo nemmeno che sarei arrivato al quinto posto e poi sul podio. ”
Eli Tomac: “”Siamo in una buona posizione, non solo nelle classifiche, ma anche per la stagione. Sono in buona salute e finisco costantemente tra i primi 5. Tornerò a lavorare con l’intero team di Monster Energy Kawasaki e continuerò a migliorare ogni settimana. È tutto un processo e mi sento bene in questa stagione. ”
Ken Roczen: “Oakland è partito piuttosto bene. Mi sono sentito molto bene nella prova e sono stato super-felice con la moto. Ero fiducioso di andare nello spettacolo notturno e felice di avere la prima scelta. Abbiamo fatto una bella gara di quali, finendo in seconda posizione. Abbiamo dovuto fare alcune piccole regolazioni della moto, proprio come la pista è cambiata. Non sono partito bene ma ho lottato fino al secondo per un po ‘. Stavo lottando con l’whoops e ho iniziato a sentirmi a disagio e sfortunatamente sono tornato al quinto posto. Non è l’ideale, ma stiamo in salute. Abbiamo perso il vantaggio dei punti ma solo di un paio di punti; è una stagione lunga, quindi se possiamo considerarla la nostra peggior gara, va bene. È ora di riorganizzarsi e, si spera, di tornare sul podio a San Diego “.
Justin Barcia (7°): “Wow. Che giornata. Dovevo essere davvero mentalmente duro. Ho attraversato un sacco di dolore, ma ho dato il meglio. Entrando sapevo che sarebbe stato difficile, ma ero piuttosto ottimista su ciò che potevo gestire. È stata una gara pazza per me. Era una pista difficile, piuttosto agitata, e dovevo solo sforzarmi. Potrebbe essere molto peggio. Dopo lo schianto dello scorso fine settimana, ho pensato che non sarei stato in grado di gareggiare, ma ho recuperato alcuni punti stasera. Mi sento come se avessi solo bisogno di andare avanti. Spero che questa settimana possa lavorare sul mio corpo e sentirmi meglio. Torneremo al prossimo fine settimana a San Diego. ”

Adam Cianciarulo: “L’inizio della giornata è stato difficile. A volte ero affaticato quando la pista si fa più tosta. Mi affretto, specialmente in prova quando vai per scaldarti. È difficile quando stai cercando di mettere insieme la pista ma anche di fare un buon tempo di qualifica. Ho decisamente faticato, ma con il passare della giornata sono migliorato un po ‘. Ovviamente è qualcosa di cui sono consapevole. Non sono sempre stato coerente nel passato e tutti mi hanno etichettato come un ragazzo che ha molta velocità ma commette molti errori. Quindi ci lavoro e durante la settimana faccio del mio meglio per risolverlo. Entrambi gli Anaheim erano tosti e sono stato in grado di riprendere entrambe le volte. Mi sento come se avessi una mentalità diversa quest’anno. Ho fatto alcuni degli stessi errori ma mi sento come se fossi diverso. Sono assolutamente consapevole che sono un ragazzo che tende a commettere errori. È successo in passato e non puoi negarlo. Allo stesso tempo, sento di essere in grado di risolverlo e metterlo sotto controllo. ”

Webb: ““Oakland was a great day for me. It was a perfect race – I was able to lead from start to finish. I had some pressure from Marvin at the end but I held on and was able to get a win, so I’m stoked. Two-in-a-row and the first time I’ve had the red plate in my career is pretty amazing, so hopefully we can keep it going. We’ve got a long season ahead but it’s been a great two weekends so we’ll get back to work on Monday. Thank you to the Red Bull KTM Team for believing in me and getting me back here. It was awesome to see KTM dominate tonight with 1-2-3 finishes and 1-2 for me and Marv the last two weekends.”
Musquin: ““It was super intense and physically it’s tough out there, I’m definitely getting better. This week I was able to ride all week so I’m getting better and better. That track was definitely difficult for everyone and especially those whoops but I figured it out in the Main and I was able to pass some guys. It’s frustrating, I rode really well, I’m really happy but it could have been mine tonight but it happens, no excuses. I went down but I was the fastest and I was able to pass those guys and be a little more consistent. I’m a little bit bummed, finishing right behind cooper is not fun but it’s good, I’m making progress. Second place is good, it’s a lot of points but I want to win for sure.”
Blake Baggett: “I’ve had kind of a miss, a hit, a miss, then I hit again. “I’ve kind of got the high and low roller coaster going on. I guess I need to work on next weekend, for sure. A podium is awesome tonight because I was buried, got a bad start, and didn’t even think I was going to get to fifth.”
Eli Tomac: ““We’re in a good position, not only in the point standings but also for the season. I’m healthy and consistently finishing in the top 5. I’ll get back to work with the entire Monster Energy Kawasaki crew and continue to improve each week. It’s all a process and I feel good about this season.”
Ken Roczen: ““Oakland started off pretty good. I felt super good in practice and was super-happy with the bike. I was confident going into the night show and happy to have first gate pick. We had a decent heat race, finishing in second. We had to do some little bike adjustments, just as the track changed. I didn’t have a great start at all but fought my way up to second for a bit. I was struggling in the whoops and started feeling uncomfortable and unfortunately, I went back to fifth. That’s not ideal but we’re leaving healthy. We lost the points lead but only by a couple points; it’s a long season, so if we can take this as our worst race, that’s pretty good. It’s time to regroup and hopefully get back on the podium in San Diego.”
Justin Barcia (7°): “Wow. What a day. I had to be really mentally tough. I rode through a lot of pain, but made the best of it. Coming in I knew it would be difficult, but I was pretty optimistic about what I could handle. It was a crazy race for me. It was a difficult track, pretty rough, and I just had to push through the pain. It could have been a lot worse. After last weekend’s crash, I thought I wasn’t going to be able to race but I salvaged some points tonight. I feel like I just need to keep moving forward. Hopefully this week I can work on my body and keep feeling better. We’ll be back at it next weekend in San Diego.”
THE COMMENT FROM THE WINNER OF 250SX
Cianciarulo: ““The beginning of the day was rough. Sometimes I struggle a little bit when the track gets ruttier. I rush it, especially in practice when you’re going for heaters. It’s tough when you’re trying to connect the track but also going for a good qualifying time. I definitely struggled in practice, but as the day went on I got a little better. It’s obviously something I’m conscious of. I haven’t always been consistent in the past and everyone has kind of labeled me as a guy who has a lot of speed but makes a lot of mistakes. So I work on it, and during the week I do the best I can to fix it. Both Anaheims were bad and I was able to rebound both times. I feel like I have a different mindset this year. I have made some of the same mistakes but I feel like I’m different. I’m definitely conscious that I’m a guy who tends to make mistakes. It’s happened in the past and you can’t deny it. At the same time I feel I’m able to fix it and get it under control.”
