Guillod nella seconda “sella” di Standing Construct?
L’ex campione europeo Valentin Guillod è impostato per un ritorno con il proprietario della squadra Standing Construct Tim Mathys con l’olandese che rientra con la sua squadra nel FIM Motocross World Championship 2018.
Mathys ha già confermato moto KTM ed è stato collegato con Kevin Strijbos. Guillod è contento di essere tornato alla squadra dove ha vinto il MX2 Grands Prix nel 2015 prima di una rottura pre-stagione prima del 2016 e il primo anno della stella svizzera nella prima classe.
Guillod ha continuato a competere dal set-up Kemea Yamaha e Mathys è sceso dalla scena dei Gran Premi la squadra si è trasformata in Wilvo Yamaha sotto il controllo di Louis Vosters. Guillod ha subito un cambiamento nel 2017 con i colori Honda ed è stato fortemente legato al ritorno al marchio con cui ha vinto EMX250 nel 2013.
“Quest’anno è stato complicato perché ho rotto il gomito in inverno e ho avuto altri grandi cambiamenti che hanno reso la vita difficile”, ha detto recentemente a Villars sous Ecot e il finale di MXGP. “Avevo sfortuna, è una parte della corse che succede, poi un altro incidente che non fu colpa mia alla una mano rotta. Ho avuto un intervento chirurgico, ma poi la piastra in titanio si è rotta così ho avuto bisogno di un’altra operazione e tre mesi dopo la lesione alla mano sono finalmente tornare a correre. Sono stati tre mesi lunghi a lavorare duramente fisicamente. “
Guillod dovrebbe confermare i suoi piani nella prossima settimana, ma ha commentato (mentre scriviamo il comunicato è stato pubblicato Sabato 14 Ottobre n.d.r.): “C’è solo un ragazzo in tutto il paddock che crede veramente in me e sono gasato che vuole fare qualcosa con me di nuovo”.
Nel frattempo altri pettegolezzi attorno a Jordi Tixier e forse Evgeny Bobryshev per guidare in MXGP con un nuovo equipaggio francese con supporto KTM. Il russo sta valutando le sue opzioni dopo essere stato liberato dal suo accordo in HRC dal Gran Premio del Belgio. “Tutto è in aria e stiamo ancora parlando. Non so ancora quale sia il futuro per me “, ha detto al Motocross delle Nazioni quasi due settimane fa. “Sto aspettando risposte di qua e di là; non sto tenendo un segreto, perché non so veramente “.
Bobryshev ha anche parlato con una squadra in Australia per contestare la loro serie nazionale.

Guillod in the frame for second Standing Construct saddle?
Former European Champion Valentin Guillod could be set for a reunion with Standing Construct team owner Tim Mathys with the Dutchman resurrecting his team to re-enter the 2018 FIM Motocross World Championship.
Mathys has already confirmed KTM machinery and has been connected with Kevin Strijbos. Guillod is rumoured to be sensationally returning to the squad where he won MX2 Grands Prix in 2015 before a pre-season break-up prior to 2016 and the Swiss star’s first year in the premier class.
Guillod went on to compete from the Kemea Yamaha set-up and Mathys dropped away from the Grand Prix scene as the team morphed into Wilvo Yamaha under the control of Louis Vosters. Guillod has had an injury-ravaged 2017 in Honda colours and has been heavily linked with a return to the brand with which he won EMX250 honours in 2013.
“This year was complicated because I broke my elbow in the winter and I had some other big changes and it made life difficult,” he said recently at Villars sous Ecot and the final round of MXGP. “I had the bad luck – a part of racing you could say – that another crash that was not my fault led to a broken hand. I had surgery but then the titanium plate broke so I needed another operation and three months after the first hand injury I’m finally back racing. It was three long months to work hard physically.”
Guillod is expected to confirm his plans in the coming week but cryptically commented: “There is only one guy in the whole of the paddock that really believes in me and I’m pumped that he wants to do something with me again.”
Meanwhile other gossip has Jordi Tixier and perhaps Evgeny Bobryshev riding in MXGP for a new French crew with KTM support. The Russian has been assessing his options since being released from his HRC deal around the time of the Grand Prix of Belgium. “Everything is in the air and we are still talking. I still don’t know what the future will be for me,” he said at the Motocross of Nations nearly two weeks ago. “I am waiting for answers from here and there; it is not like I am keeping a secret because I really don’t know.”
Bobryshev has also been talking with a team in Australia to contest their national series’.
