Agueda (Portogallo) 4 maggio 2024 – Il Campionato del mondo MXGP torna questo fine settimana in uno dei suoi luoghi più classici del calendario e le telecamere sono pronte a catturare l’azione mentre il quinto round della serie 2024, l’ MXGP del Portogallo, inizia un una serie di tre fine settimana che saranno sicuramente pieni di drammaticità!

Gli inseguitori della MXGP sperano ora di negare al campione del mondo in carica Jorge Prado la quinta vittoria consecutiva del Gran Premio. Lo spagnolo ha riportato tutti i trofei dei vincitori al suo mezzo di trasporto Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing e, nonostante sia stato superato in gara uno per l’ultima volta dai due piloti direttamente dietro di lui nel campionato, rimarrà il favorito per continuare la sua serie di vittorie.

Il leader del Team HRC Tim Gajser e Romain Febvre del Kawasaki Racing Team si batteranno per porre fine al dominio di Prado, e Jeffrey Herlings punterà a ripetere la vittoria dello scorso anno qui per la Red Bull KTM Factory Racing per rimettersi nella caccia al titolo!

Il campionato mondiale MX2 ha visto la stella della Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Liam Everts ottenere la sua prima vittoria della stagione l’ultima volta, ma Kay de Wolf di Nestaan ​​Husqvarna Factory Racing è ancora in testa al campionato e ha perso poco slancio! Simon Laengenfelder del Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing ha vinto gara due in Trentino e con tre circuiti duri davanti a sé, il tedesco farà di tutto per ridurre quel vantaggio di 26 punti!

Con i primi quattro round nel libro dei record, il Campionato del Mondo MXGP entra davvero nella parte più importante della stagione, e questi tre fine settimana saranno vitali per la destinazione finale di entrambi i Campionati!

GP of PORTUGAL 2024 – ROUND FIVE COMES ALIVE

Agueda (Portugal) 4 May 2024 – The MXGP World Championship returns to one of its most classic venues of the calendar this weekend, and the cameras are ready to capture the action as round five of the 2024 series, the MXGP of Portugal, starts a run of three weekends that are sure to be full of drama!

The chasing MXGP pack are now all hoping to deny the defending World Champion Jorge Prado of a fifth straight Grand Prix win. The Spaniard has taken every winner’s trophy back to his Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing transporter, and despite being overtaken in race one last time out by the two riders directly behind him in the Championship, he will remain the favourite to continue his run of victories.  

Team HRC leader Tim Gajser and Kawasaki Racing Team’s Romain Febvre will be champing at the bit to end Prado’s domination, and Jeffrey Herlings will be targeting a repeat of last year’s win here for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing to put himself back in the title hunt!

The MX2 World Championship saw Red Bull KTM Factory Racing star Liam Everts take his first win of the season last time out, but Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Kay de Wolf still leads the championship and has lost little momentum! Simon Laengenfelder of Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing won race two in Trentino and with a trio of hard-pack circuits ahead of them, the German will be going all-out to hack down that 26-point advantage!

With the first four rounds in the record books, the MXGP World Championship really gets into the meaty part of the season now, and these three weekends will be vital to the eventual destination of both Championships!

This weekend, SPORT TV Portugal will broadcast all four Grand Prix races LIVE and will be onsite with the crew to cover the event, and our regular television partners worldwide will continue their outstanding coverage of the incredible action from this series.
