TOKYO, Giappone, 2 febbraio 2024 – Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) ha annunciato che il suo team ufficiale “Team HRC” gareggerà con il motocross elettrico CR ELECTRIC PROTO nella Coppa del mondo FIM E-Xplorer, una serie internazionale di corse motociclistiche elettriche fuoristrada .

Il team HRC sarà rappresentato dal pilota del Dakar Rally 2024 Tosha Schareina (Spagna, 28 anni) e dalla campionessa italiana WMX Francesca Nocera (Italia, 30 anni).

Honda è impegnata nell’elettrificazione delle motociclette come pilastro della sua futura strategia ambientale, con l’obiettivo di raggiungere la neutralità delle emissioni di carbonio attraverso tutti i prodotti e le attività aziendali legati a Honda nel 2050 e in tutti i prodotti motociclistici negli anni ’40. Negli sport motoristici lo scorso anno, Honda ha fatto il suo ingresso nel campionato All Japan Motocross (JMX) con la CR ELECTRIC PROTO, e continuerà a rafforzare la sua tecnologia gareggiando in nuove gare di motociclette elettriche.

Francesca Nocera: “Ho vinto diversi titoli italiani nel motocross e recentemente ho corso anche nell’enduro. Ho ottime sensazioni sulla CR ELECTRIC PROTO, così come sulla mia Honda CRF che utilizzerò nel mondiale enduro. Sono davvero diversi ma non vedo l’ora di gareggiare con entrambi. Tosha sarà un ottimo compagno di squadra, mi sento fiduciosa per questa nuova avventura”.

Tosha Schareina: “È incredibile passare dal Sonora Rally dell’anno scorso, dove ho guidato una Honda per la prima volta, alla Dakar e ora alla CR ELECTRIC PROTO. Conosco la squadra e sono fiducioso. La moto è diversa ma mi sto divertendo. il campionato è nuovo e rappresenta una nuova sfida per me”.

TOKYO, Japan, February 2, 2024 – Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) announced that its factory team “Team HRC” will race the CR ELECTRIC PROTO electric motocrosser in the FIM E-Xplorer World Cup, an international electric all-terrain motorcycle racing series.

Team HRC will be represented by 2024 Dakar Rally rider Tosha Schareina (Spain, age 28) and Italian WMX champion Francesca Nocera (Italy, age 30).

Honda is committed to the electrification of motorcycles as the mainstay of its future environmental strategy, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality through all Honda-related products and corporate activities in 2050, and in all motorcycle products in the 2040s. In motorsports last year, Honda made a spot entry in the All Japan Motocross Championship (JMX) with the CR ELECTRIC PROTO, and it will continue to strengthen its technology by competing in new electric motorcycle races.

Francesca Nocera: “I have won several Italian motocross titles and I have recently also been racing in enduro. I have excellent sensations on the CR ELECTRIC PROTO, as well as on my Honda CRF which I will use in the enduro world championship. They are really different but I can’t wait to race both. Tosha will be an excellent teammate, I feel confident for this new adventure.”

Tosha Schareina: “It’s incredible to go from last year’s Sonora Rally, where I drove a Honda for the first time, to the Dakar and now to the CR ELECTRIC PROTO. I know the team and I’m confident. The bike is different but I’m enjoying it. the championship is new and represents a new challenge for me.”
