MONACO (Principato di Monaco) 13 aprile 2023 – Il Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross arriva in Trentino questo fine settimana per il quarto round della stagione 2023 a Pietramurata il 15 e 16 aprile.

L’MXGP del Trentino è speciale in quanto attira sempre un pubblico numeroso ed elettrizzante che può ammirare la bellissima pista di Pietramurata circondata dalla splendida catena montuosa delle Dolomiti mentre si fa conoscere con un tifo fragoroso durante l’intero weekend di gare.

MXGP e MX2 saranno affiancate quest’anno dalle classi di supporto del Campionato Europeo FIM Motocross EMX250 e EMX125 presentato da FMF . Sarà il secondo round della stagione per queste categorie. In EMX250, Andrea Bonacorsi dell’Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing Team che ha vinto alla grande in Sardegna con un 1-1 arriverà in Trentino pieno di fiducia mentre in EMX125 Presented by FMF, 737 Performers Mathis Valin di GASGAS arriverà questo fine settimana per un back-to -back di ritorno dopo aver vinto in Svizzera e aver guidato il campionato.

GP of Trentino 2023 – Timetable and Entry Lists

Nel 2022, l’MXGP del Trentino ha ospitato il 5^° round della stagione e segnava la 5^° vittoria stagionale per Tim Gajser del Team HRC con un perfetto 1-1 davanti a Maxime Renaux e Red del Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team Bul GASGAS Jorge Prado di Factory Racing .

Quest’anno il Trentino segna il 4^° round della stagione e sarà già un GP consecutivo molto importante per piloti come Jeffrey Herlings del Red Bull KTM Factory Racing , Maxime Renaux e Romain Febvre del Kawasaki Racing Team, 2^° , Rispettivamente 3^° e 4 ^° in campionato per non permettere al leader Jorge Prado di incrementare il suo vantaggio.

Prado, leader con 19 punti su Herlings, non ha ancora vinto un GP ma ha vinto 3 gare su 6, ha conquistato tutte le gare di qualificazione RAM ed è salito su ogni podio finora. Mostra grande costanza e maturità. Tuttavia, essendo l’unico pilota che ha guidato i GP di questa stagione, lo spagnolo vorrà concretizzare il suo dominio con una vittoria MXGP in Trentino.

Renaux, appena vincitore in Svizzera e 3^° in campionato, ha mostrato un’ottima compostezza per vincere il suo primo GP. Ora arriva su una delle piste preferite del Trentino dove ha vinto il suo Campionato del Mondo Motocross MX2 nel 2021 ed è salito sul secondo gradino del podio l’anno scorso in MXGP. L’altro pilota che dimostra di essere nella mischia dall’inizio della stagione è Romain Febvre. Ha conquistato il suo primo podio stagionale in Svizzera con un 3-2, salendo sul terzo gradino del podio. Il francese sembra più a suo agio ogni settimana ed è alla disperata ricerca della sua prima vittoria.
Herlings 2^° in campionato, che ha mostrato un po’ di magia in Sardegna per vincere il suo 100^° GP della sua carriera, è stato più tranquillo in Svizzera con un 6-4 per ottenere il 4^° assoluto.

Jeremy Seewer è un pilota che non ha iniziato la stagione nel migliore dei modi. Lo svizzero è stato sfortunato con cadute dall’inizio della stagione, ma ha mostrato un’ottima velocità in ogni GP. Se resta sulla sua moto, il pilota Monster Energy Yamaha può essere sicuramente una minaccia in Trentino. Il suo compagno di squadra Glenn Coldenhoff ha vinto la sua prima gara in Sardegna e si sente molto a suo agio sulla sua nuova moto. Mentre i risultati in Svizzera sono stati al di sotto delle sue aspettative, Coldenhoff si trova al 7^° posto in campionato e sarà uno da tenere d’occhio in Trentino.
Calvin Vlaanderen del Team Gebben Van Venroy Yamaha Racing e Ruben Fernandez del Team HRC sono 5^° e 6^° in campionato e hanno dimostrato di poter competere per le prime posizioni. Fernandez con la prima vittoria stagionale in Argentina e Vlaanderen visto che ha spesso gareggiato con piloti al vertice della classifica durante i primi 3 GP.

Alberto Forato dell’SM Action Racing Team Yuasa Bettery MXGP sta arrivando al suo GP di casa sulla scia di un GP molto forte in Svizzera, quando è andato 12-9 per l’8 ^° posto assoluto. Ha anche dimostrato di avere velocità nella gara di qualificazione RAM chiudendo 4^° a Frauenfeld. L’italiano 9^° nel campionato insieme al suo connazionale Mattia Guadagnini 10^° della Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing correrà sicuramente con un ulteriore supporto da parte dei tifosi di casa.

Gli altri piloti che tornano a casa sono Alessandro Lupino di MRT Racing Team Beta che è andato 15-11 per il 13^° posto assoluto in Svizzera e si sta avvicinando alla top 10 e Nicolas Lapucci di SDM Corse MX Team utilizzerà sicuramente il supporto di casa per dare il via correttamente alla sua stagione.

Pauls Jonass della Standing Construct Honda MXGP purtroppo non si schiererà questo fine settimana a causa di un infortunio riportato nella seconda gara in Svizzera. 11° pilota del campionato si spera possa rientrare nel prossimo GP.

GP of SWITZERLAND 2023 – FRAUENFELD – Results and points!

MXGP 2022 del Trentino MXGP Top 3:

Nella MX2 lo scorso anno, è stato Tom Vialle a conquistare la vittoria per la sua terza vittoria consecutiva in quel momento davanti a Kay de Wolf e Mikkel Haarup.

Dopo l’MXGP della Svizzera presentato da iXS, Jago Geerts del Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team è ancora il detentore della tabella rossa, anche se il belga è andato 7-3 per un 5 ° posto assoluto poiché è caduto poche volte durante il GP anche se la sua velocità era ancora lì mentre lui fai il giro più veloce in MX2.

In Svizzera è stato tutto merito del suo compagno di squadra Thibault Benistant del Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team che ha vinto il suo primo GP della stagione con un 4-1, mantenendo il suo record di podi del 100% finora nella stagione. Si è anche avvicinato al leader Geerts in campionato, staccato di 20 punti al 2^° posto. È una delle minacce più importanti per Geerts.

Kay de Wolf di Nestaan ​​Husqvarna Factory Racing è un altro pilota in forma con due podi consecutivi. 2° in Sardegna e 3° in Svizzera e 3° in Campionato. Ha anche dimostrato di poter battere tutti con la sua vittoria in gara in Sardegna. Il suo compagno di squadra Nestaan ​​Husqvarna Factory Racing, Roan Van de Moosdijk, ha vinto gara 1 in Svizzera e quarto assoluto. Sempre nella top 10 della classifica di campionato c’è un gruppo di piloti come Liam Everts di Red Bull KTM Factory Racing , Simon Laengenfelder di Red Bull GASGAS Fatcory Racing , Kevin Horgmo di F&H Kawasaki Racing Team e Lucas Coenen di Nestaan ​​Husqvarna Factory Racing che stanno combattendo con i corridori di alto livello e sembra che abbiano solo bisogno di un po’ più di costanza nella loro corsa per raggiungere davvero i punti importanti.

Il pilota americano della MX2 Jack Chambers ha dimostrato alla sua prima uscita nella serie che sarà uno da tenere d’occhio andando 14-12 per il 13^° assoluto, dato che è arrivato in un ambiente nuovo di zecca, con una nuova moto, una nuova squadra e nuovo campionato in generale. MXGP arrives in Trentino for the first back to back Grand Prix of the Season

MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 13 April 2023 – The FIM Motocross World Championship arrives in Trentino this weekend for the fourth round of the 2023 season in Pietramurata on the 15^th and 16^th April.

The MXGP of Trentino is a special one as it always attracts a large and electric public who can admire the beautiful track of Pietramurata surrounded by the stunning Dolomite Mountain Range while making themselves know with loud cheering throughout the whole racing weekend.

MXGP and MX2 will be joined this year by the supporting classes from the FIM Motocross European Championship EMX250 and the EMX125 presented by FMF. It will be the second round of the season for these categories. In EMX250, Hutten Metaal Yamaha Racing Team’s Andrea Bonacorsi who won in great fashion in Sardinia with a 1-1 will come to Trentino full of confidence while in EMX125 Presented by FMF, 737 Performers GASGAS’s Mathis Valin will arrive this weekend for a back-to-back round after winning in Switzerland and leading the Championship.

 

In 2022, the MXGP of Trentino hosted the 5^th round of the season and it would mark the 5^th win of the season for Team HRC’s Tim Gajser with a perfect 1-1 in front of Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team’s Maxime Renaux and Red Bul GASGAS Faticry Racing’s Jorge Prado.

This year, Trentino marks the 4^th round of the season and is going to already be a very important back-to-back GP for riders like Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jeffrey Herlings, Maxime Renaux and Kawasaki Racing Team’s Romain Febvre, 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th in the Championship respectively to not let the leader Jorge Prado increasing his lead.

Prado, leader by 19 points on Herlings has not won a GP yet but has won 3 races out of 6, clinched all RAM Qualifying race and was on every podium so far. He shows great consistency and maturity. However, as the only rider who has led laps in all GPs this campaign, the Spaniard will want to concretised his dominance with a MXGP win in Trentino.

Renaux freshly winner in Switzerland and 3^rd in the Championship showed very good composure to win his first GP. He now comes to one of favorite tracks in Trentino where he won his MX2 Motocross World Championship in 2021 and got to the second step of the podium last year in MXGP. The other rider who shows that he is in the mix since the beginning of the season is Romain Febvre. He clinched his first podium of the season in Switzerland with a 3-2, to get to the third step of the podium. The Frenchman looks more comfortable every week and is desperate to get his first win.
Herlings 2^nd in the Championship who displayed some magic in Sardinia to win his 100^th GP win of his career was quieter in Switzerland with a 6-4 to get 4^th overall.

Jeremy Seewer is one rider who didn’t start the season in the best way. The swiss has been unfortunate with crashes since the beginning of the season but showed really good speed in every GPs. If he stays on his bike, the Monster Energy Yamaha rider can definitely be a threat in Trentino. His Teammate Glenn Coldenhoff won his first race in Sardinia and feels very comfortable on his new bike. While the results in Switzerland were below his expectations, Coldenhoff sits at the 7^th place in the Championship and will be one to watch in Trentino.  
Team Gebben Van Venroy Yamaha Racing’s Calvin Vlaanderen and Team HRC’s Ruben Fernandez are 5^th and 6^th in Championship and showed that they can compete for the top spots. Fernandez with the first win of the season in Argentina and Vlaanderen as he often competed with riders at the top of the leader board throughout the first 3 GPs.

SM Action Racing Team Yuasa Bettery MXGP’s Alberto Forato  is coming to his home GP on the back of a very strong GP in Switzerland as he went 12-9 for 8^th overall. He also showed that he has speed in the RAM Qualifying Race as he finished 4^th in Frauenfeld. The Italian 9^th in the Championship along with his countryman Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing’s Mattia Guadagnini 10^th will definitely ride with an added support from the home fans.

The other riders coming back home are MRT Racing Team Beta’s Alessandro Lupino who went 15-11 for 13^th overall in Switzerland and is getting closer to the top 10 and SDM Corse MX Team’s Nicolas Lapucci will definitely be using the home support to properly kickstart his season.

Standing Construct Honda MXGP’s Pauls Jonass will unfortunately not be lining up this weekend due to an injury picked up in the second race in Switzerland. The 11^th rider in the Championship will hopefully be back in the next GP.

In MX2 last year, it was Tom Vialle who clinched the win for his 3^rd in a row at that time ahead of Kay de Wolf and Mikkel Haarup.

Following the MXGP of Switzerland presented by iXS, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team’s Jago Geerts is still the red plate holder although the Belgian went 7-3 for a 5th overall as he crashed few times throughout the GP although his speed was still there as he set the fastest lap in MX2.

In Switzerland it was all about his teammate Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team’s Thibault Benistant who won his first GP of the season with a 4-1, keeping his 100% podium finish record so far in the season. He also got closer to the leader Geerts in the championship, 20 points behind in 2^nd place. He is one of the most important threat for Geerts.

Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Kay de Wolf  is another rider on form with a back to back podium finish. 2nd in Sardinia and 3rd in Switzerland and 3rd in the Championship. He also showed that he can beat everyone with his race win in Sardinia. His teammate Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Roan Van de Moosdijk won race 1 in Switzerland and 4th overall. He shows he is getting better and better while getting more comfortable on the bike.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Andrea Adamo, 4th in the Championship continues his solid start of the season with a second podium finish, 2nd overall. The Italian is coming home and can expect to be supported by the Italian fans to help him get his first win of the season.

Still in the top 10 of the Championship standings  there is a group of riders such as Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Liam Everts, Red Bull GASGAS Fatcory Racing’s Simon Laengenfelder, F&H Kawasaki Racing Team’s Kevin Horgmo and Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Lucas Coenen who are fighting with the top ranking riders and look like they only need a little bit more consistency in their ride to really get to the big points.

The American MX2 rider Jack Chambers showed on his first outing in the series that he will be one to watch as he went 14-12 for 13^th overall, given he arrived in a brand-new setting, with a new bike, a new team and new championship overall. He will try to improve as he gets more experience along the way. Finally, there is TEM JP253 KTM Racing Team’s Jan Pancar who shows that he keeps hovering around the 9/10^th place and could create the surprise as he already showed he can lead a race like in Switzerland.

Mikkel Haarup is a rider that has changed his team to WZ RACING TEAM and will be now focus on performing on the track.
