RED BULL GASGAS FACTORY RACING EXCITED TO CONTEND FOR WINS IN 2023 MXGP SEASON

I tre piloti del team Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing approcciano alla stagione 2023 del Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM con grandi aspettative, dopo una pre-season piuttosto produttiva.Jorge Prado, Mattia Guadagnini e Simon Längenfelder hanno lavorato sui risultati positivi ottenuti l’anno scorso e sono impazienti di ripartire con le gare, con il proposito di migliorare ancora.

Jorge Prado ha iniziato molto bene il suo periodo di pilota GASGAS, conquistando la medaglia di bronzo nel Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM 2022, categoria MXGP, e vincendo un Gran Premio con la MC 450F. Lo spagnolo vuole fare molto di più e ha fatto passi avanti durante l’inverno per farsi trovare pronto a lottare per il titolo della classe regina, e non vede l’ora di iniziare la stagione iridata, che prenderà il via in Patagonia-Argentina il 12 marzo.
Con Prado nella classe regina c’è con la MC 450F Mattia Guadagnini , che punterà in alto, nella sua prima stagione intera in MXGP. Guadagnini nei dieci round corsi col 450 ha acquisito preziosa esperienza da mettere a frutto nella nuova stagione. Proprio nel finale della stagione precedente ha ottenuto piazzamenti nella top-five e ha dimostrato di poter lottare nel gruppo buono!
Simon Längenfelder è stato una rivelazione nel suo primo anno con la squadra Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing in MX2. ‘516’ ha impressionato sin dal primo GP, dove ha sorpreso tutti vincendo qualifica e GP con una doppia vittoria di manche, e poi ha continuato una stagione più che positiva tanto da piazzarsi più che meritatamente sul podio finale di campionato, terzo. Ora, con maggiore convinzione e fiducia, è pronto a provare l’assalto al titolo mondiale.

Il teamRed Bull GASGAS Factory Racing si preparerà per il Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross 2023 partecipando ad alcuni eventi pre-stagionali, come il primo round degli Internazionali d’Italia questo fine settimana a Ponte a Egola (PI). La stagione iridata inizia con il GP di Patagonia-Argentina il 12 marzo.

Jorge Prado: “Finora abbiamo avuto una preparazione pre-season buona. Abbiamo apportato alcuni cambiamenti e mi sento più preparato. Sono davvero entusiasta di tornare a correre tra un mese! Spero di poter essere sul podio ad ogni singolo round quest’anno e ottenere il maggior numero di vittorie possibile. Di sicuro, l’obiettivo principale è quello di ottenere il titolo. Penso di essere in grado di farlo. È già il mio quarto anno che combatto per vincere, quindi spero di riuscirci quest’anno.”


Mattia Guadagnini: “Ho fatto un cambio di categoria a metà stagione l’anno scorso, ho fatto alcuni GP nella classe regina e ho acquisito una buona esperienza. Ora con più ore sulla MC 450F e una migliore preparazione, mi sento pronto per la mia prima stagione MXGP completa . Il 2023 sta per iniziare e non vedo l’ora!”


Simon Längenfelder: “Sono super felice di iniziare il mio secondo anno insieme al team Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing, ‘powered by De Carli’. Abbiamo mostrato buoni miglioramenti l’anno scorso. Ci sono stati alcuni alti e bassi, ma siamo arrivati terzi nella MX2 classifica del campionato. Ora non vedo l’ora di vedere cosa porterà il 2023”.

Davide De Carli (Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing Team Manager): “Abbiamo fatto un’ottima preparazione invernale con tutti e tre i nostri piloti, che si sono allenati sui diversi tipi di terreno che dovremo affrontare in questa stagione. Stiamo anche di continuo svilupparndo la moto e non vedo l’ora di iniziare la stagione!La squadra è esattamente la stessa dell’anno scorso – i nostri piloti sono ragazzi talentuosi e sono molto fiducioso. L’obiettivo per questa stagione è salire sul podio ad ogni Gran Premio e raggiungere l’obiettivo principale, il titolo mondiale!”

Robert Jonas (Head of Motorsports, Off-Road): “Sono così entusiasta di vedere cosa può fare il nostro trio GASGAS quando il Campionato Mondiale Motocross FIM 2023 inizierà tra poco più di un mese. The Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing trio will enter the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship with lofty expectations, after a rather productive off-season. Jorge Prado, Mattia Guadagnini and Simon Längenfelder have built on the positive results that were gained last year and are chomping at the bit at the prospect of achieving so much more when the new season fires into life.

Jorge Prado had a positive start to his career as a GASGAS athlete, as he took the bronze medal in the 2022 FIM Motocross World Championship and won a Grand Prix on the MC 450F. ’61’ wants so much more than that though and has made many steps forward in the wintertime to ensure that he is ready to contend for the premier class title. Prado is rejuvenated and keen to start his bid for the crown when the nineteen-race campaign fires into life in Patagonia-Argentina on March 12.
 
Joining Prado in the premier class is Mattia Guadagnini, who will aim to make a splash in his first full season aboard an MC 450F. Guadagnini obtained valuable knowledge in the ten rounds of competition that he did on the more powerful machine and will apply that when the new season starts. Remember that he finished the previous season with 4-5 scores at the season finale and showed that he is a force to be reckoned with! Watch this space.
 
Simon Längenfelder was a revelation in his first term with the Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing squad. ‘516’ shocked the world at round one, as he raced to a dominant victory after winning the qualifying heat and both races, and then maintained that fine form in the events that followed and claimed third in the points quite comfortably. Now, armed with confidence and momentum, he is motivated to get on the gas and make a bid for the world title.
 

The Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing squad will warm up for the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship by competing in select pre-season events, such as the first round of the Internazionali d’Italia series this weekend. The Grand Prix season starts in Patagonia-Argentina on March 12.

Jorge Prado: “We have had a good off-season so far. We made some changes and I feel better prepared. I am really excited to go back racing in a month! I hope that I can be on the podium at every single round this year and get as many wins as possible. For sure, the main goal is to get the title. I think I am capable of doing that. It is already my fourth year fighting for it, so hopefully I can do the same this year.”
 
Mattia Guadagnini: “I made a mid-season change of class last year, did some GPs in the premier class and gained some good experience. Now with more hours on the MC 450F and better preparation, I feel ready for my first full MXGP season. 2023 is about to start and I cannot wait!”
 
Simon Längenfelder: “I am super happy to start my second year together with the Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing team, powered by De Carli. We showed some good improvements last year. There were some ups and downs, but we finished third in the MX2 championship standings. Now I cannot wait to see what 2023 brings.”
 
Davide De Carli (Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing Team Manager): “We have had great winter preparation with all three of our riders, who have been putting in the work on every type of ground that we are set to meet this season. We are also developing the bike and cannot wait to start the season! The team is exactly the same as last year – the riders are talented guys and I am really confident. The goal for this season is to be on the podium at every Grand Prix and to reach the main goal, the world title!”
