RIMINI CONSEGNA CON SUCCESSO I FIM AWARDS 2022
Il suggestivo Palacongressi Rimini – IEG Expo ha consegnato con successo i premi FIM 2022, essendo questa la prima volta che la sede ha ospitato questa prestigiosa cerimonia di fine stagione. Con una profonda passione per il motociclismo radicata nella regione, la serata è stata sicuramente all’altezza delle aspettative e ha eguagliato le precedenti edizioni ospitate altrove, poiché i Campioni del Mondo FIM 2022 sono stati calorosamente applauditi e onorati mentre ognuno saliva sullo splendido palco davanti al più grande raduno annuale della famiglia FIM guidata dal neo-rieletto presidente della FIM Jorge Viegas.
Con più di 800 persone riunite all’interno della suggestiva sede italiana, il pubblico ha assistito a un’intera serata di intrattenimento, con rappresentanti delle centoquindici federazioni nazionali, leggende del motociclismo, vari membri della FIM, promotori del campionato, costruttori e team rappresentanti, sponsor e altri ospiti internazionali invitati che hanno mostrato il loro apprezzamento durante i lavori.
Gli ospiti all’interno della stanza e che hanno guardato tramite il live streaming sono stati sapientemente guidati attraverso il fitto programma della serata dall’illustre quartetto di presentazione di James Toseland e Barbara Pedrotti per il secondo anno consecutivo, a cui questa volta si sono uniti Amy Reynolds e Matt Roberts. Durante la cerimonia i Campioni del Mondo FIM in rappresentanza di tutte e sei le discipline – Circuit Racing; Corsa su pista; Motocross; Enduro; Cross Country Rallies e Trial sono stati invitati sul palco per ritirare le rispettive medaglie d’oro guadagnate e meritate.
La cerimonia di premiazione è iniziata con l’assegnazione dei Trofei FIM 2022 come segue: Trofeo FIM Women in Motorcycling – Women’s European Cup (Italia); FIM Environmental Trophy – Escuderia Castelo Branco – Primo allenamento per ragazzi enduro (Portogallo); FIM Trophy for the Future – Progetto Yamaha bLU cRU e FIM Road Safety Trophy – Edustrada – Progetto PNES (Italia).
Il Direttore FIM Circuit Racing Franck Vayssié è stato quindi invitato sul palco per presentare le medaglie per la categoria Circuit Racing che includeva il FIM Sidecar Rider World Champion – Todd Ellis; Campionessa del mondo passeggeri FIM Sidecar – Emmanuelle Clément; Campione del mondo FIM Supersport – Dominique Aegerter; Campione del mondo Gran Premio FIM Moto3 – Izan Guevara e Campione del mondo Gran Premio FIM Moto2 – Augusto Fernandez.
Questo è stato seguito dal direttore della Commissione FIM Motocross Antonio Alia che si è fatto avanti per distribuire le medaglie Motocross a una formazione che includeva il campione del mondo FIM 85cc Junior Motocross – Gyan Doensen; Campione del mondo FIM S1GP SuperMoto – Marc-Reiner Schmidt; Campione del mondo di motocross femminile FIM – Nancy van de Ven e campione del mondo di supercross FIM WSX – Ken Roczen.
Un caloroso benvenuto è stato dato al vicepresidente della FIM Ignacio Verneda, responsabile della consegna delle medaglie per la categoria Trial che includeva il campione del mondo FIM Trial3 – Harry Hemingway; Campione del mondo FIM Trial2 – Sondre Haga; Campionessa mondiale FIM Trial femminile – Emma Bristow e Campionessa mondiale FIM X-Trial – Toni Bou.
La leggenda dell’enduro Petteri Silvan ha presentato le medaglie nella categoria Enduro che includevano il campione del mondo FIM Youth Enduro – Harry Edmondson; Campione del mondo FIM SuperEnduro – Billy Bolt; Campionessa mondiale di enduro femminile FIM – Jane Daniels; Campione del mondo FIM E2 Enduro – Wil Ruprecht e Campione del mondo FIM E1 Enduro – Andrea Verona.
I premi della categoria Track Racing sono stati presentati dalla leggenda delle corse su pista Jason Trump, che è stato raggiunto sul palco da un elenco di vincitori che includeva il campione del mondo giovanile FIM Speedway – SGP3 – Mikkel Andersen; Campione del mondo su pista lunga FIM – Mathieu Trésarrieu e Campione del mondo su pista su ghiaccio FIM – Martin Haarahiltunen.
Il direttore del Trial FIM Thierry Michaud ha fatto la sua parte distribuendo i premi nella categoria Team che comprendeva il Trial des Nations femminile FIM e il Trial des Nations FIM – Spagna; FIM International Six Days’ Enduro Women’s World Trophy e FIM International Six Days’ Enduro World Trophy – Gran Bretagna; FIM Speedway of Nations – SoN – Australia e FIM Motocross of Nations – USA.
Prima di consegnare le medaglie agli Ultimate Champions 2022, il presidente della FIM Jorge Viegas ha invitato per la prima volta sul palco la leggenda del motociclismo Valentino Rossi per ritirare il suo premio speciale FIM. La categoria finale della serata includeva il campione del mondo FIM World Rally-Raid – Sam Sunderland; Campione del mondo FIM TrialGP – Toni Bou; Campione del Mondo EnduroGP – Andrea Verona; Campione del mondo FIM Speedway Grand Prix – Bartosz Zmarzlik; Campione del mondo di motocross MXGP – Tim Gajser; Campione del mondo FIM Superbike – Alvaro Bautista e Campione del mondo FIM MotoGP Grand Prix – Francesco Bagnaia.
Dopo aver concluso la cerimonia, il presidente della FIM Jorge Viegas ha concluso dicendo: “Ancora una volta i FIM Awards sono stati un momento davvero straordinario per l’intera comunità motociclistica, la famiglia FIM e tutti i nostri campioni del mondo FIM 2022. Rimini ha dimostrato di essere un grande ospite e ha consegnato un’edizione di grande successo di questo importante evento quando si tratta di promuovere il nostro magnifico sport nel resto del mondo. Congratulazioni ai nostri campioni nuovi e di ritorno e a tutti coloro che hanno reso possibile questa serata”.

RIMINI SUCCESSFULLY DELIVERS 2022 FIM AWARDS
2022 FIM World Champions in Rimini, Italy © Good-ShootThe striking Palacongressi Rimini – IEG Expo successfully delivered the 2022 FIM awards, with this being the first time that the venue had hosted this prestigious end of season ceremony. With a deep passion for motorcycling rooted in the region, the evening certainly lived up to expectations and matched previous editions hosted elsewhere, as the 2022 FIM World Champions were warmly applauded and honoured as each took to the splendid stage in front of the largest annual gathering of the FIM family headed by the newly re-elected FIM President Jorge Viegas.
With more than 800 hundred people congregated inside the impressive Italian venue, the audience was treated to a full evening of entertainment, with representatives from the one hundred and fifteen national federations, motorcycling legends, various members of the FIM, championship promoters, manufacturer and team representatives, sponsors and other invited international guests showing their appreciation throughout the proceedings.
Guests within the room and watching via the live stream were expertly guided through the night’s packed programme by the distinguished presenting quartet of James Toseland and Barbara Pedrotti for the second year running who were this time joined by Amy Reynolds and Matt Roberts. During the ceremony FIM World Champions representing all the six disciplines – Circuit Racing; Track Racing; Motocross; Enduro; Cross Country Rallies and Trial were invited to the stage to collect their respective hard earned and highly deserved gold medals.
The prize ceremony started with the 2022 FIM Trophies being awarded as follows: FIM Women in Motorcycling Trophy – Women’s European Cup (Italy); FIM Environmental Trophy – Escuderia Castelo Branco – First training for enduro kids (Portugal); FIM Trophy for the Future – Yamaha bLU cRU Project and FIM Road Safety Trophy – Edustrada – PNES Project (Italy).
FIM Circuit Racing Director Franck Vayssié was then invited to the stage to present the medals for the Circuit Racing category which included FIM Sidecar Rider World Champion – Todd Ellis; FIM Sidecar Passenger World Champion – Emmanuelle Clément; FIM Supersport World Champion – Dominique Aegerter; FIM Moto3 Grand Prix World Champion – Izan Guevara and FIM Moto2 Grand Prix World Champion – Augusto Fernandez.
This was followed by FIM Motocross Commission Director Antonio Alia stepping forward to distribute the Motocross medals to a line-up that included FIM 85cc Junior Motocross World Champion – Gyan Doensen; FIM S1GP SuperMoto World Champion – Marc-Reiner Schmidt; FIM Women’s Motocross World Champion – Nancy van de Ven and FIM WSX World Supercross Champion – Ken Roczen.
A warm welcome was given to FIM Deputy President Ignacio Verneda who was responsible for handing out the medals for the Trial category that included FIM Trial3 World Champion – Harry Hemingway; FIM Trial2 World Champion – Sondre Haga; FIM Women’s Trial World Champion – Emma Bristow and FIM X-Trial World Champion – Toni Bou.
Enduro legend Petteri Silvan presented the medals in the Enduro category that included FIM Youth Enduro World Champion – Harry Edmondson; FIM SuperEnduro World Champion – Billy Bolt; FIM Women’s Enduro World Champion – Jane Daniels; FIM E2 Enduro World Champion – Wil Ruprecht and FIM E1 Enduro World Champion – Andrea Verona.
The Track Racing category prizes were presented by Track Racing legend Jason Trump who was joined on stage by a list of winners that included FIM Speedway Youth World Champion – SGP3 – Mikkel Andersen; FIM Long Track World Champion – Mathieu Trésarrieu and FIM Ice Speedway World Champion – Martin Haarahiltunen.
FIM Trial Director Thierry Michaud played his part by handing out the awards in the Team category that included FIM Women’s Trial des Nations and FIM Trial des Nations – Spain; FIM International Six Days’ Enduro Women’s World Trophy and the FIM International Six Days’ Enduro World Trophy – Great Britain; FIM Speedway of Nations – SoN – Australia and FIM Motocross of Nations – USA.
Ahead of himself presenting the medals to the 2022 Ultimate Champions, FIM President Jorge Viegas first invited Motorcycling legend Valentino Rossi to the stage to collect his FIM Special Prize. The final category of the night included FIM World Rally-Raid World Champion – Sam Sunderland; FIM TrialGP World Champion – Toni Bou; EnduroGP World Champion – Andrea Verona; FIM Speedway Grand Prix World Champion – Bartosz Zmarzlik; MXGP Motocross World Champion – Tim Gajser; FIM Superbike World Champion – Alvaro Bautista and FIM MotoGP Grand Prix World Champion – Francesco Bagnaia.
After bringing the ceremony to a close the FIM President Jorge Viegas ended by saying: “Once again the FIM Awards has been a truly amazing moment for the entire motorcycling community, the FIM family and all our 2022 FIM World Champions. Rimini has proved itself to be a great host and has delivered a highly successful edition of this important event when it comes to promoting our magnificent sport to the wider World. Congratulations to our new and returning champions and everyone who has made tonight happen.”
