Il numero #711 Ritirato dalla competizione MXGP in memoria di Rene Hofer
MONACO (Principato di Monaco) 17 dicembre 2021 – Infront Moto Racing insieme a Red Bull KTM Factory Racing hanno deciso di ritirare il numero di gara #711 dal Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross e da tutte le altre classi in memoria di Rene Hofer.
Rene Hofer era un pilota austriaco di 19 anni che ha corso per la Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. È stato più volte campione del mondo junior ed è diventato il primo austriaco a vincere un Gran Premio in questa stagione, dal 1987. Rene sarà sempre ricordato per la sua personalità amante del divertimento e, naturalmente, per il suo innegabile talento in pista.
Infront Moto Racing insieme a Red Bull KTM Factory Racing ha voluto mostrare rispetto e celebrare la vita di René dedicandogli per sempre il suo numero di gara #711 e quindi ritirandolo dalle future competizioni. Ciò significa che nessun altro può utilizzare questo numero nel campionato mondiale di motocross FIM. #711 sarà per sempre di Rene.
Da allora KTM ha creato una pagina di donazioni per sostenere la Wings for Life Foundation in memoria di Rene su richiesta della sua famiglia.

Number #711 Retired from MXGP Competition in Memory of Rene Hofer
MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 17 December 2021 – Infront Moto Racing together with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing have come to the decision to retire the #711 racing number from the FIM Motocross World Championship and all other classes in memory of Rene Hofer.
Rene Hofer was a 19-year-old Austrian rider who raced for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. He was a multi-time Junior World Champion and became the first Austrian to win a Grand Prix this season, since 1987. Rene will always be remembered for his fun-loving personality and of course his undeniable talent on track.
Infront Moto Racing together with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing wanted to show respect and celebrate the life of Rene by dedicating his racing number #711 to him forever and therefore retiring it from future competition. This means nobody else can use this number in the FIM Motocross World Championship. #711 will forever be Rene’s.
KTM have since set-up a donation page to support the Wings for Life Foundation in memory of Rene at the request of his family.
