Maddii Fantic annuncia la formazione dei piloti del 2022: MXGP ed EMX
Dopo aver presentato al Salone di Milano EICMA la sua gamma Offroad MY22, Fantic annuncia un nuovo grande inizio: l’ingresso nella categoria regina MXGP che si aggiungerà a tutti gli altri programmi sportivi riguardanti il mondo del motocross nella stagione 2022.
L’ottima stagione 2021 ha visto la vittoria di Nicholas Lapucci agli Internazionali d’Italia di Motocross nella categoria MX2, il titolo Italiano Prestige nella classe MX2 e soprattutto la prestigiosa conquista del Campionato Europeo EMX250.
Questi risultati hanno spinto il team manager Marco Maddii a rinnovare il contratto con Nicholas per la stagione 2022 e il debutto di Fantic anche in MXGP.
Il team proseguirà inoltre il percorso intrapreso due anni fa per far crescere i giovani piloti nelle categorie europee 125 e 250. Non poteva, dunque, segnare la riconferma del Campione del Mondo Hakon Osterhagen che nel 2022 sarà al via nella categoria maggiore EMX250 con la Fantic XX250.
Nella stessa classe sarà affiancato dal promettente norvegese Cornelius Tøndel, che quest’anno si è dimostrato coerente e veloce. Nell’Europeo 125, Alexis Fueris si è riconfermato dopo una buona seconda parte di stagione. La squadra si completa con l’arrivo in 125 del giovane olandese Cas Valk che in questo finale di stagione ha dimostrato una velocità eccezionale.
Marco Maddii commenta così: “Siamo molto felici di fare il nostro debutto in MXGP con Nicholas, è una sfida emozionante e difficile, ma cercheremo di fare del nostro meglio per esibirci bene nella classe regina. Abbiamo fatto un grande passo anche nell’Europeo, con Fueri e Valk in 125, Tondel e Ostheragen in 250 credo che abbiamo 4 piloti competitivi che potranno dire la loro nella classifica finale. Il gruppo è compatto e abbiamo già iniziato l’allenamento invernale, il feeling con le moto è già buono, ma in ogni caso abbiamo intenzione di lavorare sodo e fare del nostro meglio per essere pronti per la prima gara degli Internazionali d’Italia”.
Nicholas Lapucci: “Sono davvero felice di aver rinnovato il mio contratto con Fantic e il team Maddii. Sono molto entusiasta di questa nuova sfida mondiale. Sarà una stagione importante e sono felice di essere di nuovo con il Fantic Factory Team Maddii. Sono sicuro che mi daranno il miglior supporto possibile per intraprendere questa nuova avventura. Sarà il mio secondo anno con il Team e ci sarà ancora più feeling, non vedo l’ora di iniziare questa nuova pagina della mia carriera. Maddii Fantic announce 2022 rider line up – MXGP and EMX
After presenting its MY22 Offroad range at the Milan Motor Show as well, Fantic announces a great new beginning: the entry in the MXGP queen category which will be added to all the others sport programs regarding the motocross world in 2022 season.
The excellent 2021 season have seen the victory of Nicholas Lapucci at the Internazionali d’Italia of Motocross in the MX2 category, the Italian Prestige title in the MX2 class and above all the prestigious conquest of the EMX250 European Championship.
These results prompted the team manager Marco Maddii to renew the contract with Nicholas for the 2022 season and Fantic’s debut in MXGP as well.
The team will also continue the path undertaken two years ago to develop young riders in the European 125 and 250 categories. It could not, therefore, mark the reconfirmation of the World Champion Hakon Osterhagen that in 2022 will be at the start in the major category EMX250 with the Fantic XX250.
He will be joined in the same class by the promising Norwegian Cornelius Tøndel, who this year proved to be consistent and fast. In the European 125 class, Alexis Fueris has been confirmed again after a good second part of the season. The team is completed with the arrival in the 125 class of the young Dutchman Cas Valk who has shown exceptional speed at this end of the season.
Marco Maddii comments as follows: “We are very happy to make our debut in MXGP with Nicholas, it is an exciting and difficult challenge, but we will try to do our best to perform well in the premier class. We have also made a big step in the European Championship, with Fueri and Valk in 125, Tondel and Ostheragen in 250 I think we have 4 competitive riders who will have their say in the final standings. The group is compact and we have already started winter training, the feeling with the bikes is already good, but in any case, we intend to work hard and do our best to be ready for the first race of the Internazionali d’Italia”.
Nicholas Lapucci: “I’m really happy to have renewed my contract with Fantic and the Maddii team. I am very excited about this new world challenge. It will be an important season and I’m happy to be with Fantic Factory Team Maddii again. I’m sure they will give me the best possible support to undertake this new adventure. It will be my second year with the Team and there will be even more feeling, I can’t wait to start this new page of my career.
