La vittoria in Moto per Gajser lo sposta di un punto dal vantaggio in campionato
Una settima vittoria in gara per Tim Gajser ha portato il pilota del Team HRC ad un punto dalla tabella rossa di leader del campionato dopo un’altra giornata di gare epiche al MXGP del Garda.
In quello che è stato il terzo dei tre round sulla pista di Pietramurata, nel nord Italia, il #243 è passato da terzo a secondo in questo campionato MXGP estremamente serrato, dopo che i suoi risultati gli hanno dato il secondo posto assoluto.
Dopo essersi qualificato al sesto posto, Gajser è stato in grado di attraversare per il primo giro della prima gara in un’impressionante quarta posizione, ma con molta pressione da dietro, ha dovuto lottare per tutta la gara per mantenere quella posizione e, di conseguenza, è stato incapace di andare avanti. Ha tagliato il traguardo nella stessa posizione e sebbene ciò lo tenesse nella caccia al campionato, sapeva di dover migliorare nella seconda manche per il suo slancio.
Prendendo un’altra scelta all’interno del cancello, la Honda CRF450RW è uscita dal cancello nella seconda manche, spostandosi rapidamente in prima posizione in un giro. Da lì, ha steso un comodo vantaggio mentre dietro di lui regnava il caos. A un certo punto il distacco è stato di quasi 15 secondi, con Gajser che ha segnato il giro più veloce della gara, ma è tornato a casa con un buffer di cinque secondi, per la gioia di un enorme numero di fan sloveni adoranti.
Come è diventata la norma per la pista di Pietramurata, i tifosi del Tiga243 si sono tutti riuniti sul “Gajser Corner” in un mare di rosso e giallo, con bandiere, razzi e fumogeni che hanno contribuito a creare un’atmosfera incredibile. Lo hanno acclamato per tutta la gara, e poi si sono radunati intorno al podio mentre Gajser ha preso posizione sul secondo gradino, celebrando il suo successo e dandogli ancora più slancio per portare avanti il doppio appuntamento con il finale di stagione la prossima settimana.
I piloti avranno alcuni giorni per riprendersi da questi intensi 10 giorni prima di dirigersi un paio d’ore a sud verso la pista di Mantova in Lombardia, Italia, dove il penultimo round sarà tra una settimana domenica 7 novembre prima dell’ultimo round di questo avvincente Campionato MXGP mercoledì 10 novembre.

È fantastico vincere un’altra gara e avvicinarsi ancora di più alla classifica del campionato. È stata una settimana difficile con questo triplo incontro, ma finire con una nota positiva è una sensazione molto buona e mi dà molta motivazione in vista degli ultimi due round a Mantova. La prima gara non è andata secondo i piani, finendo quarto, quindi devo lavorare su questo, ma la seconda gara è andata molto meglio. Ho fatto una buona partenza e sono passato al primo posto molto velocemente e poi ho controllato la gara. Stavo ricevendo aggiornamenti dal tabellone dei box, quindi sapevo quanto ero avanti e sono stato in grado di vincere con un grande distacco. È stato fantastico vedere così tanti fan venire qui e supportarmi e sono molto emozionato per questi ultimi due round. Inoltre, un grande ringraziamento a tutta la squadra che continua a lavorare duramente in questo periodo intenso. Non potrei farcela senza di loro!

Un’altra giornata di due tempi, con una prima gara difficile seguita da un’ottima seconda manche. Dimostra solo quanto sia determinato Tim e siamo tutti molto orgogliosi di lui e della sua capacità di mantenere la calma sotto un’immensa pressione e continuare a fornire grandi risultati. Ora è a un solo punto dalla vetta del campionato ea due gare dalla fine non vediamo l’ora di lottare per il titolo sul circuito di Mantova, dove Tim ha fatto bene in passato. Abbiamo alcuni giorni per prepararci, ma tutti nel team stanno lavorando per questo obiettivo e non vediamo l’ora che arrivi il prossimo cancello.

Moto win for Gajser moves him one point off championship lead
A seventh race win for Tim Gajser moved the Team HRC rider to within one point of the championship-leading red-plate after another day of epic racing at the MXGP of Garda.
In what was the third of three rounds at the Pietramurata track in the Trentino region of northern Italy, the #243 moved up from third to second in this extremely close MXGP championship, after his four-one results gave him second overall.
After qualifying in sixth place, Gajser was able to cross for the first lap of the first race in an impressive fourth position but with a lot of pressure from behind, he had to battle the whole race to maintain that position and as a result, was unable to progress forward. He crossed the line in the same position and although it kept him in the championship hunt, he knew he needed to improve in the second moto for his own momentum.
Taking another inside gate pick, the Honda CRF450RW raced out of the gate in the second moto, moving quickly into first position within one lap. From there, he stretched out a comfortable lead while chaos reigned behind him. At one point the gap was almost 15 seconds, with Gajser posting the fastest lap of the race in the process, but he cruised home with a five second buffer, much to the delight of a huge number of adoring Slovenian fans.
As has become the norm for the Pietramurata track, the Tiga243 supporters all gathered on ‘Gajser Corner’ in a sea of red and yellow, with flags, flares and smoke bombs all adding to what was an incredible atmosphere. They cheered him all race long, and then gathered around the podium as Gajser took his position on the second step, celebrating his success and giving him even more impetus to carry into the season finale double-header next week.
The riders will have a few days to recover from this intense 10 days before heading a couple of hours south to the Mantova track in Lombardia, Italy where the penultimate round will be in a week’s time on Sunday 7th November before the final round of this enthralling MXGP championship on Wednesday 10th November.

It is great to get another race win, and move even closer in the championship standings. It has been a tough week with this triple-header but to finish on a positive note is a very good feeling and gives me a lot of motivation heading into the final two rounds at Mantova. The first race didn’t go to plan, finishing fourth, so I need to work on that but the second race was much better. I got a really good start and moved into first very quickly and then just controlled the race. I was getting updates from the pit-board so I knew how far ahead I was and I was able to win with a big gap. It was great to see so many fans come here and support me and I’m very excited for these last two rounds. Also, a big thanks to the whole team who keep working hard in this intense period. I couldn’t do it without them!

Another day of two halves, with a difficult first race being followed by a great second moto. It just shows how determined Tim is and we are all very proud of him and his ability to keep calm under immense pressure and keep delivering great results. He is now just one point off the lead in the championship and with just two rounds left, we are looking forward to the fight for the title at the Mantova track which Tim has done well at in the past. We have a few days to prepare for it, but everyone in the team is working for this goal and we can’t wait for the next gate drop.
