GASGAS FACTORY RACING OCCHI SULL’INIZIO DELLA SECONDA STAGIONE DI GARE MXGP
QUATTRO PILOTI DI CLASSE MONDIALE ALL’INSEGNA DELLA GLORIA NEL 2021 FIM MOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Dobbiamo aspettare un po ‘più a lungo di quanto speravamo, ma siamo pronti per iniziare! Mentre facciamo il conto alla rovescia dei giorni che mancano all’inizio della nostra seconda stagione di battaglie per il Campionato mondiale FIM Motocross, siamo entusiasti di vedere presto i nostri quattro talentuosi piloti sventolare la bandiera GASGAS. A gestire gli affari nella classe MXGP e in cerca di un po ‘di riscatto sarà Pauls Jonass insieme al nostro secondo nuovo arrivato della classe 450 Brian Bogers. In MX2, le cose saranno gestite dal duro Isak Gifting e dal nostro giovane tedesco Simon Langenfelder.
In rappresentanza di GASGAS Motorcycles nella divisione MXGP, il team Standing Construct GASGAS Factory Racing ha arruolato una nuova formazione di piloti per il 2021. L’ex campione del mondo MX2 Pauls Jonass è affiancato dall’olandese Brian Bogers, e siamo fiduciosi che questa formidabile coppia sia capace di ottimi risultati per tutta la prossima stagione.
Nonostante abbia perso gran parte della stagione 2020 a causa di un infortunio, Pauls ha effettuato una rapida transizione alla nostra MC 450F e ha trascorso l’inverno a fare i giri in Spagna in preparazione per il Campionato del Mondo MXGP 2021. Sentendosi fiducioso sia in se stesso che con la sua nuova moto, il lettone cerca di tornare alla sua velocità del 2019, che lo ha visto salire sul podio assoluto della MXGP tre volte mentre si trovava al sesto posto nella classifica finale della serie.
Il bravissimo Brian Bogers ha messo insieme un’impressionante stagione del Campionato del Mondo MXGP 2020, che non è passata inosservata. Ora, con l’olandese armato di una GASGAS MC 450F di serie, siamo fiduciosi di supportare Brian a raggiungere il livello successivo e crediamo che busserà alla porta dei primi cinque per tutta la serie 2021.
Nella classe MX2, Isak Gifting torna nel team DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory Racing per la sua prima stagione completa di competizioni mondiali. Sarà affiancato da Simon Langenfelder, un altro pilota di grande talento che ha avuto una frustrante interruzione della sua campagna 2020 a causa di un infortunio.
Da quando è entrato a far parte del team DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory Racing come pilota sostitutivo lo scorso anno, Isak Gifting ha sicuramente impressionato sulla MC 250F. Il super-svedese ha conquistato un paio di podi in MX2, concludendo la stagione con una buona serie di risultati. Portando questo slancio nei mesi invernali, il 20enne ha goduto la sua prima bassa stagione come parte di una squadra ufficiale e ha pienamente colto l’opportunità di migliorare se stesso in vista della stagione 2021. Con il modesto obiettivo di ottenere risultati costanti tra i primi 10, Isak ha la velocità per sfidare il podio su base settimanale.
Simon Langenfelder torna per la sua seconda stagione di gare nel Campionato del Mondo MX2 a bordo delle GASGAS. Il giovane tedesco ha mostrato un enorme potenziale nel 2020 con la sua stagione evidenziata da un quinto posto al secondo round, prima di piazzarsi al nono posto assoluto all’MXGP di Riga solo due round dopo. Trascorrendo gran parte della bassa stagione concentrato sulla sua tecnica di guida e sul miglioramento della sua velocità complessiva, Simon è ora pronto a entrare nella top 10 su base regolare nel 2021.
Il campionato mondiale di motocross FIM 2021, programmato per iniziare il 13 giugno in Russia, si compone di 19 round in tutto il mondo. I nostri corridori affronteranno le condizioni più difficili, concorrenti difficili e sperimenteranno gare bar-to-bar ad ogni evento con i campioni incoronati in Indonesia il 5 dicembre.
Pauls Jonass: “Una nuova squadra per me quest’anno e sono davvero entusiasta di correre su un GASGAS! Il team Standing Construct ha avuto molto successo in passato e sono davvero professionali, quindi sto puntando a ottenere ottimi risultati con loro in questa stagione. Finora è andato tutto benissimo e sento di trvoarmi molto bene nella squadra. Sono tornato a pedalare a novembre e da allora ho continuato a costruire e costruire e ora sono davvero in un buon posto con la moto e la mia forma fisica. Se riusciamo a continuare così, tornerà la mia velocità tra i primi cinque e credo di poter spingere di nuovo per il podio. Non sarà facile, ma per come mi sento e con i progressi che abbiamo fatto, è un obiettivo raggiungibile. Abbiamo un po ‘di tempo prima del primo round, quindi fino ad allora continueremo a lavorare e imparare. L’obiettivo per l’anno è rimanere senza infortuni ed essere costantemente in battaglia ogni fine settimana. Se riusciamo a farlo, saremo in una buona posizione alla fine della stagione “.
Brian Bogers: “È stata una transizione facile per me entrare nel team Standing Construct. Sono persone davvero organizzate, molto professionali con cui lavorare. Avevano già un ottimo assetto di base per la moto, quindi non ho dovuto fare molti test perché la moto è già fantastica. Abbiamo apportato alcune piccole modifiche soprattutto per il comfort, quindi è stato fantastico guidare e concentrarmi sul mio allenamento sia in moto che fuori. Con le modifiche al calendario abbiamo fatto un programma di allenamento diverso in vista del primo round, ma in ogni caso sarò pronto per il round di apertura. Ho davvero una buona squadra alle mie spalle e mi hanno dato la fiducia per raggiungere il livello successivo, quindi spingerò per risultati più forti nel 2021 “.
Isak Gifting: “Sono davvero entusiasta di aver trascorso quest’anno un’intera bassa stagione con la squadra, preparandomi per la prossima stagione. È stato qualcosa di nuovo per me e so che tutto il lavoro che abbiamo fatto mi aiuterà davvero quando inizieremo a correre. Abbiamo passato molto tempo a testare le impostazioni delle sospensioni e la moto rappresenta un grande miglioramento rispetto allo scorso anno. L’anno scorso andava bene ma ora, dopo aver passato tutto l’inverno a perfezionare la moto, mi sento nello stato migliore che abbia mai avuto. C’è un po ‘di pressione su di me in questa stagione perché io e la squadra sappiamo che posso salire sul podio, ma tengo i piedi per terra. Gli obiettivi per quest’anno sono di essere regolarmente tra i primi 10, il podio ed essere più costanti. Penso che sulle piste di sabbia posso spingere per le vittorie. Sono realistico e so che non sarà facile, ma con i progressi che ho fatto con la mia preparazione durante l’inverno e i miglioramenti alla moto, credo di poter raggiungere i miei obiettivi in questa stagione.”
Simon Langenfelder: “È stato un inverno davvero produttivo per me. Mi sono ripreso dall’infortunio e poi ho iniziato i test con la squadra a dicembre. Abbiamo alcune nuove parti sulla moto per questa stagione, quindi abbiamo speso un po ‘di tempo per trovare il miglior set-up e abbiamo fatto davvero dei buoni progressi. La moto è migliorata molto rispetto allo scorso anno. Abbiamo anche guidato in molti paesi diversi su molte superfici diverse, per testare la moto in condizioni diverse ed è stato davvero positivo. A livello personale, ho lavorato anche sulla mia tecnica. Sto usando molto meno la frizione ora, quindi questo ha aiutato il mio slancio in curva. Mi sono anche concentrato sul miglioramento della mia forma fisica. Ho ottenuto un paio di risultati tra i primi 10 nel 2020, quindi il mio obiettivo è essere un pilota costante tra i primi 10 in ogni gara quest’anno, e mi sento come se potessi spingere anche per i primi cinque. Sono entusiasta di iniziare la stagione. Mi sento davvero bene sulla moto e la mia forma fisica non è mai stata migliore. Non vedo l’ora che inizi una grande stagione di gare “.
Robert Jonas – VP Motorsports Offroad: “L’inizio della nostra seconda stagione di gare MXGP è un momento davvero emozionante per GASGAS. L’anno scorso abbiamo ottenuto molti successi, inclusa una vittoria in GP. Quest’anno crediamo che i nostri piloti possano sfidare per più vittorie ed essere in testa in entrambe le classi. Abbiamo una nuovissima formazione di piloti nella classe MXGP per il 2021 e, guidati dall’ex campione del mondo Pauls Jonass, non vediamo l’ora di vedere cosa possono fare sulla MC 450F. Insieme a Pauls, Brian Bogers ha mostrato una costanza incredibile e ha ottenuto dei risultati davvero buoni nel 2020 – riteniamo di poter aiutare Brian a fare cose ancora migliori nel 2021. Nella MX2 abbiamo due piloti molto entusiasmanti, Isak Gifting e Simon Langenfelder. Isak è stato una rivelazione dopo essere entrato a far parte della squadra la scorsa stagione dopo che Simon si è infortunato e ha ottenuto i nostri primi risultati sul podio in MX2. Il suo stile di guida all-action si adatta perfettamente al marchio GASGAS e non vedo l’ora di vederlo correre quest’anno. Simon torna in squadra per la sua seconda stagione in MX2. GASGAS FACTORY RACING EYE UP START OF SECOND MXGP RACING SEASON
FOUR WORLD-CLASS RACERS SET TO CHASE GLORY IN 2021 FIM MOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The highly capable Brian Bogers put together an impressive 2020 MXGP World Championship season, which didn’t go unnoticed. Now, with the Dutchman armed with a full factory GASGAS MC 450F, we’re confident of supporting Brian reach the next level and believe he’ll be knocking on the door of the top five throughout the 2021 series.
In the MX2 class, Isak Gifting returns to the DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory Racing team for his first full season of world championship competition. He’ll be joined by Simon Langenfelder, another super-talented racer who frustratingly had his 2020 campaign cut short due to injury.
Since joining the DIGA Procross GASGAS Factory Racing team as a fill-in rider last year, Isak Gifting has certainly impressed on the MC 250F. The super-Swede claimed a couple of MX2 moto podiums, ending the season with a strong run of results. Carrying that momentum into the winter months, the 20-year-old has enjoyed his first off-season as part of an official team and has fully embraced the opportunity to better himself ahead of the 2021 season. With the modest goal of achieving consistent top-10 results, Isak has the speed to challenge for the podium on a weekly basis.
Simon Langenfelder returns for his second season of racing in the MX2 World Championship aboard GASGAS machinery. The young German showed huge potential in 2020 with his season highlighted by a fifth-place moto finish at round two, before placing ninth overall at the MXGP of Riga just two rounds later. Spending much of the off-season focused on his riding technique and improving his overall speed, Simon is now poised to break into the top 10 on a regular basis in 2021.
Scheduled to start on June 13 in Russia, the 2021 FIM Motocross World Championship consists of 19 rounds across the globe. Our racers will face the harshest of conditions, tough competitors, and experience bar-to-bar racing at each event with the champions crowned in Indonesia on December 5.
Pauls Jonass: “A new team for me this year and I’m really excited to be racing on a GASGAS! The Standing Construct team have had a lot of success in the past and they’re really professional, so I’m aiming to achieve strong results with them this season. Everything has been great so far and I feel like I fit in the team really well. I returned to riding in November and since then I’ve just been building and building and I’m in a really good place now with the bike and my fitness. If we can continue like this then my top-five speed will return, and I believe that I can push for the podium again. It’s not going to be easy but with how I’m feeling and with the progress we have made, it’s an achievable goal. We have a little bit of time until round one so until then we will keep working and learning. The goal for the year is to remain injury-free and be in the battle consistently every weekend. If we can do that then it will put us in a good place at the end of the season.”
Brian Bogers: “It’s been an easy transition for me going into the Standing Construct team. They are really organized, very professional and great people to work with. They already had a very good base setting for the bike, so I’ve not needed to do a lot of testing because the bike is already amazing. We did make some small changes for comfort mostly, so it’s been great to just ride and focus on my training both on and off the bike. With the calendar changes we have made a different training schedule in the lead up to round one but either way, I’ll be ready for the opening round. I have a really good team behind me, and they have given me the confidence to reach the next level so I will be pushing for stronger results in 2021.”
Isak Gifting: “I’m really excited for this year having spent a full off-season with the team, preparing for the season ahead. It was something new for me and I know that all the work that we have done will really help me when we start racing. We’ve spent a lot of time testing suspension settings and the bike is a really big improvement on last year. It was good last year but now, after spending all winter refining the bike, I feel the best I ever have on it. There is a little bit of pressure on me this season as the team and myself know that I can be on the podium, but I’m keeping my feet on the ground. The goals for this year are to be regularly inside the top 10, podium more often, and be more consistent. I think that on sand tracks I can push for wins. I’m realistic and know that it won’t be easy but with the progress that I’ve made with my preparation over the winter, and the improvements to the bike, I believe that I can achieve my goals this season.”
Simon Langenfelder: “It’s been a really productive winter for me. I recovered from my injury and then began testing with the team in December. We have some new parts on the bike for this season, so we spent some time finding the best set-up and we made some really good progress. The bike is improved a lot compared to last year. We’ve also ridden in a lot of different countries on many different surfaces, to test the bike in different conditions and it’s been really positive. On a personal level, I’ve worked on my technique as well. I’m using the clutch a lot less now, so this has helped with my momentum in corners. I’ve also focused on improving my fitness as well. I scored a couple of top-10 results in 2020 so my focus is on being a consistent top-10 rider in each and every race this year, and I feel like I can push for top fives as well. I’m excited to start the season. I feel really good on the bike and my fitness has never been better. I’m looking forward to a great season of racing.”
Robert Jonas – VP Motorsports Offroad: “Starting our second season of MXGP racing is a really exciting time for GASGAS. Last year, we achieved a lot of success including a GP win. This year, we believe that our riders can challenge for more wins and be at the front of the field in both classes. We have an all-new rider line-up in the MXGP class for 2021, and led by former world champion Pauls Jonass we’re really looking forward to seeing what they can do on the MC 450F. Alongside Pauls, Brian Bogers showed incredible consistency and scored some really good results in 2020 – we feel that we can help guide Brian to even better things in 2021. In MX2, we have two very exciting riders, Isak Gifting and Simon Langenfelder. Isak was a revelation after he filled in for the team last season after Simon got injured, and he scored our first podium results in MX2. His all-action riding style fits the GASGAS brand perfectly and I can’t wait to see him race this year. Simon returns to the team for his second season in MX2. He showed a lot of potential last year with many outstanding results before his injury, so he’ll be one to watch. Overall, GASGAS are in a very good place to challenge for more success in 2021. We believe in the riders and believe that they can take GASGAS to the very top in MXGP.”
