Ricky Carmichael parts ways with Suzuki!
Ricky Carmichael si separa dalla Suzuki, il più grande pilota nel mondo del Motocross, The GOAT, ha scritto una lettera aperta spiegando la sua decisione dicendo che ha altre opportunità di cui vuole approfittare:
“A tutti i miei fan e a tutti nella nostra community motociclistica,
Dopo 15 anni con Suzuki, ho voluto dedicare questo tempo per dire grazie ed esprimere la mia gratitudine a tutto lo staff di Suzuki of America, Suzuki Japan ea tutte le altre regioni con cui ho avuto la fortuna di lavorare nel corso degli anni. Siamo stati in grado di realizzare grandi cose insieme, sia come pilota che come proprietario del team e sono molto fortunato ad aver stretto molte grandi amicizie lungo la strada.
Con il cambiare dei tempi, ho cercato altre opportunità nel settore motociclistico ed esplorato opzioni in cui ritengo che le mie esperienze possano essere applicate al meglio per far crescere il nostro grande sport. Come tutti sanno, mi piacciono anche le sfide e vedere cosa può fare un team di persone per produrre un grande risultato quando si lavora insieme a nuovi progetti. Mentre continuo a costruire i miei anni di esperienza come pilota, ora sto passando per godermi altri aspetti della comunità motociclistica.
Non è stata una decisione facile, ma il futuro è entusiasmante per me. Il mio amore per le moto è cresciuto oltre la semplice guida fuoristrada e non vedo l’ora di esplorare queste opportunità di più in futuro. Lavorerò per sempre per promuovere il nostro sport e continuerò a dare qualcosa ai piloti emergenti che sperano di vedere realizzati i loro sogni, proprio come ho fatto molti anni fa.
Con questo, voglio augurare a tutti in Suzuki un successo continuo in futuro. Le amicizie vanno ben oltre i rapporti di lavoro, ho la fortuna di avere molti di voi come amici e non vedo l’ora di vedervi alle gare e in viaggio!

After 15 years with Suzuki, I wanted to take this time to say thank you and express my gratitude to the entire staff at Suzuki of America, Suzuki Japan and to all of the other regions I have been fortunate enough to work with over the years. We were able to accomplish some great things together, both as a rider, and as a team owner and I am very fortunate to have made many great friendships along the way.
As times change, I have been looking at other opportunities within the motorcycle industry and exploring options where I feel my experiences can best be applied to help grow our great sport. As everyone knows, I also enjoy challenges and seeing what a team of people can do to produce a great result when working together on new projects. As I continue to build upon my years of experience as a racer, I am now transitioning to enjoy other aspects of the motorcycle community.
This hasn’t been an easy decision, but the future is exciting for me. My love of bikes has grown beyond just off-road riding and I am looking forward to exploring those opportunities more in the future. I will forever work to promote our sport and continue to give back to the up and coming riders who hope to see their dreams realized, just as I did many years ago.
With that, I want to wish everyone at Suzuki continued success in the future. Friendships go well beyond working relationships, I am fortunate to have many of you as friends, and look forward to seeing you at the races and on the road!
