MONACO (Principato di Monaco) 18 agosto 2020 – Dopo il grande successo delle tappe lettoni di MXGP e il supporto ricevuto, MXGP continua a guardare avanti a gare più epiche in questa stagione e quindi Infront Moto Racing vorrebbe rivelare gli aggiornamenti più recenti a il calendario delle gare del Campionato del mondo di motocross FIM 2020 .

Seguendo l’evoluzione del COVID-19 restrizioni e la difficoltà del viaggio, è stata presa la decisione di rinviare al 2021 la MXGP della Turchia in Afyonkarahisar, originariamente prevista il 5-6 settembre, mentre anche gli eventi in programma TBC in questa stagione, anche l’ MXGP del Portogallo che originariamente si sarebbe svolto ad Agueda e l’ MXGP della Russia, in programma a Orlyonok , sono stati posticipati al 2021.

Invece, dopo il successo del triple-header lettone, il Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross anticiperà l’evento a Faenza, Italia, per tre epici Gran Premi con la MXGP d’Italia sul 5-6 settembre il MXGP di Città di Faenza il 8-9 settembre e la MXGP dell’Emilia Romagna il 12-13 settembre. Agli eventi di Faenza si aggiungeranno anche l’EMX125 e l’EMX 2t Championship.

Inoltre, MXGP sarà a capo di Mantova in Italia per un altro trio di gare, per la MXGP della Lombardia che avrà luogo il 26-27 settembre la MXGP di Città di Mantova sul 29-30 settembre e, infine, la MXGP di Europa sulla 3-4 ottobre. Le prime due gare a Mantova vedranno inoltre i round dei campionati EMX250 e WMX, mentre l’MXGP d’Europa accoglierà anche i piloti EMX125 ed EMX250.

Ulteriori modifiche vedranno MXGP a Pietramurata, per la MXGP del Trentino, in programma per il 31 ^° / 1 ^° novembre, quindi la MXGP di Pietramurata sul 3-4 novembre e infine la MXGP del Garda Trentino si finire il stint italiana sul 7-8 novembre. Le classi aggiuntive che si uniranno a MXGP a Pietramurata saranno per i piloti EMX Open e WMX per la prima gara, mentre durante gli ultimi due eventi saranno EMX Open ed EMX 2t.

Il calendario 2020 sarà ora caratterizzato da tre triple in Italia. Questa decisione è stata presa per poter tenere il maggior numero di eventi possibile per rendere un campionato competitivo ed emozionante, oltre che per ridurre la quantità di complicazioni di viaggio per l’intero collettivo del paddock.

Inoltre, il MXGP di Lommel, ultima delle tre tappe del Belgio, il 24-25 ottobre vedrà anche la Yamaha YZ Blu CRU Superfinale, che vi accoglierà alcuni e provenienti stelle motocross di domani, sul circuito di Lommel in Belgio. La finale dello scorso anno ha visto Jekabs Kubulins vincere nella classe 65cc, mentre nella classe 85cc era Olle Martensson e infine nella 125cc era Mairis Pumpurs.

L’ MXGP della Patagonia-Argentina , a Neuquen, rimane parte del calendario del Campionato mondiale di motocross FIM 2020 come TBC a seconda delle condizioni nazionali in corso.

MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 18 August 2020 – Following the big success of the Latvian stops of MXGP and the support received, MXGP continues to look forward to more epic races this season and therefore Infront Moto Racing would like to reveal the most recent updates to the 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship racing calendar.

Following the evolution of COVID-19 restrictions and the difficulty of travel, the decision has been made to postpone to 2021 the MXGP of Turkey in Afyonkarahisar, originally scheduled on the 5-6^th of September, while also the TBC events scheduled this season, the MXGP of Portugal that originally was going to take place in Agueda as well as the MXGP of Russia, scheduled in Orlyonok, have been also postponed to 2021.

Instead, following the success of the Latvian triple-header, the FIM Motocross World Championship will anticipate the event in Faenza, Italy, for three epic Grand Prix races with the MXGP of Italy on the 5-6^th of September, the MXGP of Città di Faenza on the 8-9^th September and the MXGP of Emilia Romagna on 12-13^th September. The events in Faenza will also be joined by the EMX125 Presented by FMF racing and EMX 2t Presented by FMF Racing Championship.

Additionally, MXGP will head to Mantova in Italy for another trio of races, for the MXGP of Lombardia taking place on the 26-27^th of September, the MXGP of Città di Mantova on the 29-30^th of September and finally the MXGP of Europe on the 3-4^th of October. The first two races in Mantova will additionally see rounds of the EMX250 and WMX Championships, while the MXGP of Europe will also welcome the EMX125 and EMX250 riders.

Further changes will then see MXGP head to Pietramurata, for the MXGP of Trentino, scheduled for the 31^st-1^st November, then the MXGP of Pietramurata on the 3-4^th of November and finally the MXGP of Garda Trentino will finish off the Italian stint on the 7-8^th of November. The additional classes that will join MXGP in Pietramurata will be the EMX Open and WMX riders for the first race, while during the final two events it will be EMX Open and EMX 2t. 

The 2020 calendar will now feature three triple-headers in Italy. This decision has been made in order to be able to hold the maximum number of events possible to make a competitive and thrilling championship, as well as to reduce the amount of travel complications for the whole paddock collective.

Furthermore, the MXGP of Lommel, last of the three Belgian stops, on the 24-25^th of October, will also see the Yamaha YZ bLU CRU Superfinale, that will welcome some up and coming motocross stars of tomorrow, to the fierce Lommel circuit in Belgium. Last year’s final saw Jekabs Kubulins take a victory in the 65cc class, while in 85cc it was Olle Martensson and finally in 125cc it was Mairis Pumpurs who was the winner.

The MXGP of Patagonia-Argentina, in Neuquen, remains part of the 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship calendar as TBC depending on the ongoing national conditions.
