L’evento più combattuto di tutta la stagione, la Francia è ancora Campione del Motocross of Nations 2018, il trofeo Chamberlain è per la quinta volta consecutiva in mano ai francesi con Gautier Paulin, Dylan Ferrandis e Jordi Tixier per un totale di 6 volte, 2001, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 e 2018!!!

Pur avendo trovato un terreno ostico sono stati la miglior squadra, già dal sabato le loro intenzioni si erano viste, partenze ottime sempre davanti e rimonte calcolate, facciamo i complimenti per questo record!

MOTOCROSS of NATIONS 2018 – USA REDBUD – Results!

Gautier Paulin Team France [MXGP]:“È una sensazione incredibile vincere il Nazioni col team France per la quinta volta di fila. Non ci sono parole per descrivere quanto sia felice oggi. Le condizioni sono state tutt’altro che ideali per l’intero weekend qui a Red Bud, ma siamo riusciti a volgere le cose a nostro vantaggio. Ho dato il massimo in entrambe le mie manche, continuando a spingere fino alla fine. Ringrazio in particolar modo tutti i membri del mio team Rockstar Energy Husqvarna: questa vittoria con la nazionale francese è il modo migliore per concludere una lunga stagione. Sono un ragazzo felice oggi! Ho fatto una bella gara, Jordi ha fatto una gran gare e anche Dylan. Abbiamo avuto molto giudizio nelle ultime settimane, giudizio dopo una selezione difficile, e ora abbiamo vinto ancora. Grazie alla federazione per essere così forte, grazie Jordi, grazie Dylan. Penso che la sfida più grande sia stata oggi in America tra tutte le vittorie francesi, tutti i ragazzi europei hanno fatto grandi gare, il livello in MXGP quest’anno è stato così forte.

Dylan Ferrandis Team France [MX2]: Essere il miglior paese al mondo che è quello che stavamo cercando di fare. Avere l’equipaggio francese qui oggi è stato fantastico con un weekend fantastico, è stata una gara difficile per me oggi. Ho faticato un po ‘con la mia moto, riuscire a mantenere la calma, la pista era diversa durante il National, era più morbida sopratutto per le impostazioni a cui ero abituato.

Jordi Tixier Team France [OPEN]: Siamo così felici, sono state due settimane difficili per me, ho fatto solo un paio di GP quest’anno e non avevo il livello per andare avanti. Ho dato tutto ciò che potevo. Il team ha fatto davvero un buon lavoro per trovare un nuovo motore per la seconda manche, era una moto completamente di serie e ho dovuto finire la manche portando la moto alla fine della, era il mio obiettivo. Non mi sentivo così bene e ho avuto molta pressione. Ora festeggiamo!

Tony Cairoli– Team Italy [Open]: “Siamo molto felici di essere sul podio. In realtà è sorprendente perché la scorsa settimana [dopo la caduta di Imola] non ci aspettavamo di essere qui. Abbiamo avuto una gara forte ed entrambi i giorni mi sono sentito bene sulla pista di RedBud. Avremmo potuto vincere e avremmo avuto le carte per farlo, ma l’ho buttato via nella prima manche con un incidente e Alessandro anche nella sua prima gara. È brutto quando perdi solo di pochi punti, ma questo è il Motocross delle Nazioni – la miglior gara dell’anno – e siamo molto felici di salire sul podio. E ‘stata una bella conclusione per una stagione fantastica. Congratulazioni alla Francia per una gara forte e anche all’ Olanda, peccato per la sfortuna. Questi risultati sono positivi per il motocross europeo e siamo orgogliosi della nostra serie. Grazie a tutti e a Youthstream per aver organizzato di nuovo un grande evento. ”

Alessandro Lupino – Team Italy [Open]: «Sono davvero contento di questo podio per l’Italia, un rammarico perchè Cairoli ed io abbiamo commesso un errore nelle nostre prime manche e questo ci è costato probabilmente la vittoria! D’altra parte siamo stati anche fortunati visto che molte cose sono successe con questo tempo, ma la vittoria a due punti è difficile da accettare! Dobbiamo essere felici, perché sette giorni fa non eravamo nemmeno sicuri di venire, sia io che Antonio siamo rimasti infortunati e abbiamo concluso il weekend sul podio. La scorsa settimana tutti nella squadra stavano piangendo e oggi tutti ridono! Voglio ringraziare la federazione e il mio team Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki, anche il mio allenatore Christian Ravaglia che mi ha aiutato molto. Abbiamo vissuto una buona stagione insieme e siamo fiduciosi per la prossima stagione, ma ora è tempo di fare delle vacanze con la mia famiglia dopo una lunga stagione visto che quest’anno ho disputato trentadue gare. »

Jeffrey Herlings – Team Netherlands [MXGP]: “Io e Glenn abbiamo fatto un ottimo lavoro. Ho vinto la mia prima moto e lui è andato 1-1: abbiamo meritato di vincere ed è stato un peccato non aver ottenuto i risultati con il nostro pilota MX2. Eravamo così vicini ma il Team France è il migliore oggi e dovremmo rispettarlo. Voglio ringraziare la Red Bull KTM Factory Racing per l’intera stagione; hanno fatto un lavoro incredibile. Voglio anche ringraziare la Federazione olandese per essere dietro di noi. Abbiamo trascorso un weekend fantastico e alcuni giorni fantastici qui. Sono felice di finire la stagione. L’anno prossimo sarà ad Assen e nella terra di casa e se Glenn ha la stessa condizione e otteniamo un altro risultato, possiamo sicuramente andare alla vittoria. È stata una buona giornata. “

Calvin Vlaanderen – Team Netherlands [MX2]: Essere delusi è un eufemismo, ovviamente, ma non c’è nulla che possiamo fare a riguardo. È stata una gara difficile fino a quando è durata, ma poi essere escluso dalla seconda gara è stato un duro colpo. Spero che non sia niente di grave, ma vedremo domani cosa diranno gli specialisti; nel frattempo, cercherò di rimanere il più sereno e positivo possibile, anche se non sarà un compito facile. Tanto di cappello e congratulazioni a Jeffrey e Glenn per i loro risultati di oggi, hanno guidato incredibilmente bene.

Glenn Coldenhoff – Team Netherlands [OPEN]: “Sicuramente è bello e andare 1-1 al Motocross of Nations ed è un po ‘folle. Non ho parole. Penso che questa sia una pista fantastica e bella e le condizioni erano grandiose. Peccato per Calvin (Vlaanderen – pilota olandese MX2); avrebbe potuto finire tra i primi quindici facilmente nella prima manche ma c’erano alcuni problemi e quindi non poteva iniziare la seconda manche. E ‘stato comunque un grande giorno essere qui [sul podio] e congratularmi con gli altri team. Oggi eravamo i più forti. Mi è piaciuto stare qui fuori.”

Gautier Paulin – Team France [MXGP]: “It is an incredible feeling to win the MXoN with Team France for a fifth time in a row. I really have no words to describe how happy I am. Conditions were far from ideal during the whole weekend here at Red Bud, but we made things work to our advantage. I gave my best in both motos and kept pushing until the very end. A special thanks to all the members of my Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team. Winning this trophy with Team France is the best way to wrap up a long season.”

Dylan Ferrandis – Team France [MX2]: “I was really happy ride here in the USA and to test my speed against the rest of the world. I knew the track before I came here but it was quite a bit different to what it is like at the AMA Nationals. It was a lot softer and different in some areas. I didn’t feel amazing today, it was difficult to race two back-to-back races, I needed to try to preserve my bike because the track was really rutty and really deep. It is awesome to be on Team France and to represent my country and it is an awesome weekend to end with the win. ”

Tony Cairoli – Team Italy [MXGP]: “We are very happy to be on the podium. It is amazing actually because last week [after the Imola crash] we did not expect to be here. We had a strong race and both days I felt good on the RedBud track. We could have won and we ‘had the cards’ to do it but I threw it away in the first moto with a crash and Alessandro also in his first race. It’s bad when you lose by only a few points but this is the Motocross of Nations – the best race of the year – and we are very happy to be on the podium. It was a good end to an amazing season. Congratulations to France for a strong race and to Holland also, a shame about the bad luck. This [the results] is good for European motocross and we are proud of our series. Thanks to everybody and to Youthstream for organizing a great event again.”

Alessandro Lupino – Team Italy [Open]: « I’m really happy with this podium for Italy, event if we have little pain in the stomach because Cairoli and I each made a mistake in our first motos and that cost us probably the win! On the other hand we were also lucky as many things happened with this weather, but missing the victory by two points is difficult to accept! We have to be happy, because seven days ago we were not even sure to come as both Antonio and I were injured and we have ended the weekend on the podium. Last week everyone in the team was crying, and today everyone is laughing! I want to thanks the federation and my team Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki, also my coach Christian Ravaglia who helped me a lot. We have had a good season together and we’re confident for next season, but now it’s time for some holidays with my family in Corsica and Sicilia after a long season as I had thirty-two races on my schedule this year. »

Jeffrey Herlings – Team Netherlands [MXGP]: “Me and Glenn did a great job. I won my first moto and he went 1-1: we deserved to win and it was a shame we didn’t get the results with our MX2 rider. We were so close but Team France were the best today and we should respect that. I want to thank Red Bull KTM Factory Racing for the whole season; they did an incredible job. I also want to thank the Dutch Federation for being behind us. We had a great weekend and some great days here. I’m happy to finish off the season. Next year it will be at Assen and home soil and if Glenn has the same breakfast and we get another result then we can definitely go for the win. It has been a good day.”

Calvin Vlaanderen – Team Netherlands [MX2]: Being disappointed is an understatement, of course, but there is nothing we can do about it. It was a difficult moto until it lasted, but then being ruled out of the second race was a massive blow. Hopefully it’s nothing serious but we’ll see tomorrow what the specialists will say; in the meantime, I’ll try to stay as calm and positive as I can, even though it won’t be an easy task. Hats off and congratulations to Jeffrey and Glenn for their results today, they rode amazing.

Glenn Coldenhoff – Team Netherlands [OPEN]: “This definitely feels good and going 1-1 at the Motocross of Nations is kinda crazy. I have no words. I think this is a great and beautiful track and the conditions were great. It is just a shame for Calvin (Vlaanderen – team Netherlands MX2 rider); he could have finished in the top fifteen easily in the first moto but there were some issues and then he couldn’t start the second one. It has still been a great day to be up here [on the podium] and congratulations to the other teams. We were the strongest today. I loved being out here.”
