Evgeny Bobryshev pronto all’attacco per il terzo round della MXGP

Evgeny Bobryshev si trova attualmente terza nel Campionato del Mondo, ma attaccherà il Gran Premio d’Europa questo fine settimana con ancora più vigore avendo recentemente ottenuto una doppia vittoria nel round di apertura del campionato olandese di Axel.
Questo si aggiunge alla impressionante serie di risultati di Bobby già in questa stagione – Campione degli Internazionali MX, leader del campionato olandese, terzo in classifica nella MXGP con un terzo posto nella gara di apertura del Qatar e a pari punti per il podio in due round.
Inserito ad inizio stagione quest’anno, Valkenswaard è il primo round europeo della stagione, inserito tra un paio di gare oltremare. A causa del un weekend di vacanza, la pianificazione tradizionale è stata spostata di un giorno in più con le gare che saranno Lunedi 28 marzo.
La pista di sabbia lunga 1550m, si trova appena a nord del confine con il Belgio, ed è nota per essere dura e fisicamente impegnativa per i piloti e con un programma del fine settimana assolutamente affollato che incorpora anche la serie europea dei giovani, la pista sarà ancora più dura e solcata nel corso della giornata.
Degna di nota sarà l’assenza di Gautier Paulin sulla moto # 21, purtroppo è costretto a stare fuori da questo Gran Premio dopo la frattura alla vertebra e la rottura di una costola in un incidente in allenamento a Lommel due fine settimana fa. Egli è in fase di valutazione e verifiche prima di iniziare un piano di riabilitazione attentamente calcolato.
Più difficile per il francese sarà la consapevolezza che Valkenswaard è stata la sede della sua vittoria dominante sulla Honda CRF450RW lo scorso anno.
L’azione in pista per il GP d’Europa avrà inizio Domenica con le prove libere alle 10:45 ora locale, e si concluderà il lunedì con le due gare che prenderanno il via alle 14:15 e alle 17:10 ora locale.
Evgeny Bobryshev 777 – “Mi sento veramente bene in questo momento e molto confortevole. Sono davvero impaziente di questo fine settimana e molto felice di essere tornato in Europa. E ‘sempre più facile essere qui in Europa in termini di formazione e preparazione. Sono entusiasta per la gara di questo fine settimana, anche. Axel è stata buona per la formazione e la preparazione pre-Valkenswaard così mi sento pronto. Il tempo sembra buono quindi spero che la pista sia ok. Ci sono un sacco di moto in pista anche se spero che facciano un po’ di lavoro extra in pista durante il giorno, altrimenti sarà dura. Rui sta lavorando con gli organizzatori quest’anno sulle piste quindi questo è un grande aiuto per noi che possiamo comunicare per mezzo di lui. Egli è anche un pilota quindi sa quello che vogliamo, quindi spero che questo aiuterà non come l’anno scorso che la pista era diventata molto accidentata e molto difficile. Tornando in Europa solo per una gara non è così facile per i piloti e anche per le squadre dovendo tornare nella nostra routine di casa prima di andare all’estero di nuovo, ma è così e lo dobbiano fare. Comunque, io sono entusiasta di questo fine settimana “.
Roger Harvey – HRC General Manager MXGP – “Valkenswaard è cambiato nel corso degli anni ed è ora una sorta di duro sotto la superficie del terreno. E ‘diverso da quello che abbiamo conosciuto qualche anno fa, ma ci sono così tante classi e moto questo fine settimana che mi aspetto che sarà molto molto segnata. Gli organizzatori avranno un po’ di duro lavoro per gestirla credo. Ci sarà da eseguire solo Bobby questo fine settimana visto che Gautier continua il suo recupero. Bobby si è allenato nella sabbia di recente e ha vinto il campionato olandese perciò è in una buona forma; è in una sorta di routine dopo un duro inverno di preparazione che ha dato i suoi frutti e gli ha permesso di costruire una buona base. Sarà un fine settimana frenetico, ma sono fiducioso che vedremo Bobby in alto Lunedi. “

Bobryshev in fighting form ahead of MXGP round three
Evgeny Bobryshev currently lies third in the World Championship, but will attack the Grand Prix of Europe this weekend with even more vigour having recently taken a double win in the opening round of the Dutch championship in Axel.

It adds to Bobby’s impressive scorecard already this season – Italian International MX champion, leader of the Dutch championship, and third in the MXGP standings with third place in the Qatar opener and tied on points for the podium in round two but just missing out on count-back.

Held earlier in the season this year, the Valkenswaard encounter is the first European of the year, sandwiched between a pair of overseas flyaway races. Owing to a bank holiday weekend, the traditional schedule has been shifted one day later with racing happening on Monday 28 March.

The 1550m long sand track, located just north of the Belgian border, is known for being tough and physically demanding for the riders, and with an absolutely packed weekend schedule incorporating European and youth series, the track will only get tougher and more rutted throughout each day.

Notable by his absence will be Gautier Paulin on the #21 machine, as he is forced to sit out this Grand Prix after fracturing his vertebra and breaking a rib in a practice crash in Lommel two weekends ago. He is undergoing assessments and checks before starting a carefully calculated rehabilitation plan.

Making it harder for the Frenchman will be the knowledge that Valkenswaard was the venue of his dominant victory on the Honda CRF450RW last year.

On track action for the GP of Europe will start on Sunday with free practice at 1045hrs local time, culminating in Monday’s two races which kick off at 1415hrs and 1710hrs local time.

“I feel really good at the moment and very comfortable. I’m really looking forward to this weekend and very happy to be back in Europe. It’s always easier to be here in Europe in terms of our training and preparation. I’m excited for the race this weekend, too. Axel was good for training and pre-Valkenswaard preparation so I’m feeling ready. The weather looks good so I hope the track should be ok. There are a lot of bikes on track though so I hope they do some extra work to the track during the day otherwise it will be tough. Rui is working with the organisers this year on the tracks so this is a big help for us as we can communicate through him. He is also a rider so he knows what we want, so I hope this will help as last year the track got really bumpy and was very hard. Coming back to Europe just for one race is not so easy for the riders and also the teams as we just get back into our home routine before going overseas again, but that’s how it is so we deal it. Still, I’m excited about this weekend.”

“Valkenswaard has changed over the years and it’s now sort of hard pack underneath the ground surface. It’s different to what we knew a few years ago, but there are so many classes and bikes this weekend I expect it will be very very rough. The organisers will have some hard work to manage it I think. We will only run Bobby this weekend as Gautier continues to recover. Bobby’s been practicing in the sand recently and won the Dutch championship round so he’s got good form, and is on something of a roll after a hard winter of preparation that’s paid off and allowed him to build good momentum. It’ll be a hectic weekend, but I’m confident we’ll see Bobby up there on Monday.”
