Frattura del femore per Ken De Dycker!

Una brutta notizia colpisce ancora la scena dei piloti del Mondiale Motocross per la MXGP, tutto questo ad una sola settimana dall’inizio della stagione 2016 del FIM World Motocross Championship. Il pilota del Team 24MX Lucas Oil Honda Ken De Dycker è caduto oggi mentre si allenava ed ha riportato la frattura del femore.
Vista la gravità della frattura, si prospetta un’assenza molto lunga.

Sabato 20 Febbraio 2016 – 24MX Lucas Oil Honda Ken De Dycker ha subito una frattura durante un incidente in prova a Royal Hills in Francia. L’ex vincitore del MXoN ha subito un intervento chirurgico in un ospedale nelle vicinanze.
Lavorando duro sul suo stato di forma con l’allenatore Joël Roelants e aver fatto ottimi passi nello sviluppo della sua Honda CRF450R il gigante buono del paddock MXGP era tranquillamente fiducioso per la nuova stagione. L’infortunio di Ken De Dycker è ovviamente un durissimo colpo per la squadra 24MX Lucas Oil Honda. Nei prossimi giorni la squadra consulterà i suoi partner e deciderà su come trattare l’assenza del loro pilota di punta.
Ken De Dycker: “Purtroppo gli infortuni fanno parte delle corse. Ma è un vero peccato sapere che io non correrò per un po ‘di tempo. Ho preso abbastanza bene il fatto e ho avuto anche un grande squarcio sul gomito. Fortunatamente l’intervento è andato bene, hanno messo un perno nel mio osso della coscia, così ora mi sento nuovo di zecca di nuovo!
Nel corso dell’ inverno ho messo un sacco di fatica e sentivo che eravamo pronti. Un grande grazie a Joel il mio allenatore, che mi ha aiutato anche con le pratiche per organizzare il mio intervento, tutti i nostri sponsor, tifosi e amici che mi inviano messaggi. Sono sicuro che torneremo forti. Non vedo l’ora di mostrare a tutti quello per cui abbiamo lavorato. ”

Ovviamente questo lascia a tutti noi molta delusione ancora di più perché le cose erano andate bene. Ken De Dycker injury update
Saturday, February 20, 2016 — 24MX Lucas Oil Honda rider Ken De Dycker suffered a fracture to his right upper leg during a practice crash at Royal Hills in France yesterday. The former MXoN winner underwent surgery today at a hospital in nearby Albi.
One week ahead of the first round of the FIM MXGP World Championship De Dycker was dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s in France. The popular Belgian was due to race in his second pre-season race this weekend at the Lacapelle-Marival International. In consultation with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Ghijselings Ken’s leg was successfully fixated during a surgery earlier today.
Working hard on his fitness with coach Joël Roelants and having made excellent steps in the development of his Honda CRF450R the gentle giant of the MXGP paddock was quietly confident about the new season. The injury of Ken De Dycker is obviously a huge blow to the newly formed 24MX Lucas Oil Honda team. Over the next few days the squad will consult its partners and decide on how to deal with the absence of their star rider.
Ken De Dycker: “Unfortunately injuries are a part of racing. But it’s such a pity to know that I will not be racing for a while now. I took quite a big hit and broke my thigh and had a big gash on my elbow. Luckily the surgery went well as they placed a pin in my thigh bone, so now I feel brand new again!
Over the winter everyone put in a lot of effort and I felt we were right on target. A big thanks to Joël my trainer, who also helped me with the practical stuff to organise my surgery, all our sponsors, fans and friends who send me wishing well messages. I’m sure we’ll be back strong. I can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working for.”
