Cambio di idea: Stewart gareggerà in Australia

Sembra che James Stewart abbia avuto un cambiamento di idee spinto dal cuore. Dopo Essersi tirato fuori da un attesissimo scontro con Chad Reed al AUS-X aperto di Supercross il 28 novembre e il 29 all’inizio di questa settimana, Yoshimura Suzuki ha annunciato oggi che Stewart correrà come inizialmente previsto.

Stewart, che sarà anche in gara a Bercy-Lille, in Francia questo fine settimana, ha ammesso che la risposta negativa ha giocato un ruolo nella decisione.

“Ero abbastanza deluso da vedere le risposte dopo che ho annunciato di non poter essere in Australia”, ha detto Stewart. “I tifosi sono sempre stati una delle cose migliori per me e dopo aver visto le loro reazioni, buone e cattive, sapevo che dovevo trovare un modo per arrivare laggiù. Ho parlato con la squadra e abbiamo lavorato su un paio di cose che possono funzionare. Ho sempre voluto fare un salto lì e gareggiare. Ci sono un sacco di grandi appassionati di moto in Australia e sarà bene arrivare a Sydney e dare loro lo spettacolo che meritano “.

Il team afferma che Stewart ha elaborato un “programma ragionevole con la squadra che semplifica il viaggio e mantiene la sua preparazione e i test più vicino alla tabella il più possibile.”

Change of Heart: Stewart will Race in Australia

It appears James Stewart has had a change of heart. After pulling out of a highly anticipated showdown with Chad Reed at the AUS-X Open of Supercross on November 28 and 29 earlier this week, Yoshimura Suzuki announced today that Stewart will race as originally planned.

Stewart, who will also race Bercy-Lille in France this weekend, admitted that the negative response played a part in the decision.

“I was pretty devastated to see the response after I announced I couldn’t make it to Australia,” said Stewart. “The fans have always been one of the best things about racing to me and after seeing their reactions, both good and bad, I knew I had to figure out a way to get down there. I spoke to the team and we worked out a couple things that can make it work. I’ve always wanted to head down there and race. There’s a lot of serious motorcycle fans in Australia and it will be good to get to Sydney and give them the show they deserve.”

The team says that Stewart worked out a “reasonable schedule with the team that streamlines the trip and keeps his training and testing as close to on course as possible.”
