Action Figures è il primo film del suo genere con un debutto alla regia per Pastrana – ha scritto, ho diretto e prodotto il film al fianco dei miei migliori amici tutti provenienti dal mondo di sport d’azione e in associazione con Nitro Circus. Il cast è composto dai moderni “eroi d’azione”, dove ciascuno individualmente ha contribuito alle riprese e a modificare le loro parti del film. Action Figures è una corsa sfrenata che è sia un inno ai video di sport d’azione della vecchia scuola così come un coraggioso passo in avanti nel cinema e prestazioni umane estreme.

“Sono così eccitato per il lancio Action Figures”, dice Pastrana. “Questo è veramente il mio progetto di passione, e sono così grato di aver prodotto e diretto insieme a miei amici più cari. Il debutto alla regia di Pastrana e questa pellicola unica, colpiranno sicuramente come un fulmine il mondo dello sport d’azione con oltre 20 primi tricks presenti nel film da quasi ogni atleta di action sport coinvolto, tra cui le superstar FMX Josh Sheehan (la prima persona a effettuare un triplo backflip con una moto) e Jolene Van Vugt (la prima donna a effettuare un backflip con una moto), ispiratore paraplegico e atleta FMX Bruce Cook, lo snowboarder olimpico Trevor Jacob, la skateboarder degli X Games e moglie di Travis ‘Lyn-Z Pastrana, il campione di BMX Kurtis Downs e altro ancora. Queste vere Figure d’Azione (Action Figures) di tutte le diverse discipline spingono i loro corpi e menti a conquistare l’impossibile e accendere intrattenimento dello sport d’azione.

Molte delle stelle del film nate dalla popolare serie Nitro Circus di MTV, che poi ha dato il nome a un film del 2012 dal titolo, Nitro Circus: The Movie. Una nuova serie televisiva, “Nitro Circus: Crazy Train” debutta il 15 Ott 2015 su NBCSN come parte di un partnership pluriennale con NBC Sports. Los Angeles, CA – October 15, 2015 – Nitro Circus, the action sports entertainment collective led by legend and ringmaster Travis Pastrana, is excited to release Action Figures worldwide Tuesday, October 20 available for purchase on iTunes and other VOD and streaming platforms such as Amazon Instant Video and Google Play. Action Figures is a first of a kind film and a directorial debut for Pastrana –he wrote, directed, and produced the film alongside his best friends all coming from the world of action sports and in association with Nitro Circus. The cast consists of modern day “action heroes,” where each individually contributed to filming and editing their sections of the film. Action Figures is a wild ride that is both an ode to the old school action sports videos as well as a bold step forward in filmmaking and extreme human performance.
