Honda Jtech Press Release | MX2 Riders 2016 !!
Honda Motor Europe e Honda Jtech team sono molto lieti di annunciare che Damon Graulus e Henry Jacobi si uniscono alla squadra per le prossime tre stagioni. I due giovani piloti, Graulus di 20 anni e Jacobi di 18 anni, potranno cavalcare la Honda CRF 250 R nella classe MX2.

“Siamo molto lieti di accogliere questi due piloti giovani e talentuosi nella famiglia Honda.
Entrambi hanno mostrato buoni risultati e determinazione ultimamente, Damon ha vinto entrambe le manche in EMX250 ad Assen e lo scorso fine settimana ha vinto l’ultima manche del Campionato belga su una 250. Henry era ottavo in classifica generale a Mantova, e questo durante il suo anno da rookie MX2. Entrambi i piloti hanno la capacità di eccellere entrambi, la sabbia e le piste dure, che è un grande vantaggio. Alle prime prove con la squadra Jtech, si sono rapidamente adattati allle CRF250R e mettere alcuni laptimes veloci. Con tutti i miglioramenti sul 2016 CRF250R c’è ancora di più potenziale là fuori per il 2016! Con Damon e Henry siamo certi che abbiamo fatto le scelte giuste per il futuro. Quindi non vediamo l’ora di iniziare a lavorare questo inverno sia in Italia che all’estero, per prepararli al meglio per la stagione 2016 MX2. ”

Graulus, belga, ha già vinto il campionato 65cc belga nel 2003, quando aveva solo 9 anni. Poi ha vinto cinque anni di fila l’evento Masterkids e ha partecipato alla serie ADAC. Nel 2013, Damon ha vinto il campionato belga e classificato al 3 ° posto nella Classifica a EMX250. Nel 2014 è diventato Campione di Francia MX2 Elite. Nel 2015 ha ottenuto un secondo posto nella Classifica EMX250, 2 ° nel campionato belga e lui è ancora in corsa per diventare Campionato olandese. Damon ha anche partecipato alla MX2 a Mantova ed ha ottenuto un 5 ° posto in Gara 1.
Jacobi, tedesco, ha vinto il campionato del mondo Junior 85cc nel 2010, ha anche partecipato alla serie ADAC. Si è unito al Team Germany per la MXoN in Lettonia nel 2014. Nel 2015 ha corso il Campionato del Mondo MX2 mostrando buona velocità, come a Mantova ha ottenuto un 9 ° posto in Gara 2. Egli è anche nominato per il team tedesco MXoN quest’anno.

Honda Motor Europe and Honda Jtech Team are very pleased to announce that Damon Graulus and Henry Jacobi join the Team for the next three seasons. The two young riders, Graulus of 20 years old and Jacobi of 18 years old, will ride the Honda CRF 250 R in the MX2 class.

Both have shown good results and determination lately, Damon won both heats in EMX250 in Assen and last weekend he won the last heat of the Belgian Championship on a 250 from the big bores. Henry was Eighth Overall in Mantova and this in his MX2 rookie year. Both riders have the skills to excel in both, sand and hard pack tracks, which is a big plus. At the first tests with the Jtech team, they were very quickly able to adapt to the 2015 CRF250R and put in some fast laptimes. With all improvements on the 2016 CRF250R there is even more potential out there for 2016! With Damon and Henry we’re confident that we have made the right choices for the future. So we’re looking forward to start working with both this winter in Italy to prepare them the best possible way for the 2016 MX2 season.”

The Belgian Graulus already won the Belgian Championship 65cc in 2003, when he was just 9 years old. Then he won five years in a row the Masterkids event and he participated at the ADAC series. In 2013, Damon won the Belgian Championship and ranked a 3rd place in the EMX250 Overall Classification. In 2014 he became French Champion MX2 Elite. In 2015 he got a 2nd place in the EMX250 Overall Classification, 2nd in the Belgian Championship and he is still in the running to become Dutch Championship. Damon also participated at the MX2 Race in Mantova and got a 5th position in Race 1.
The German Jacobi won the Junior World Champion 85cc in 2010, he also participated at the ADAC series. He joined Team Germany for the MXoN in Latvia in 2014. In 2015 he rode the MX2 World Championship showing some very good speed, as in Mantova he got a 9th place in Race 2. He is also nominated for the German MXoN Team this year.
