Successful surgery for Jordi Tixier
Dopo la sua caduta durante una sessione di prove a Mantova lo scorso fine settimana, Jordi Tixier ha subito un intervento chirurgico di successo in Francia. Il Monster Energy Kawasaki MX2 pilota salterà il resto della stagione.
Tornando in Francia Domenica con una mano dolorosa, Jordi Tixier ha avuto un intervento chirurgico nel pomeriggio di Lunedi per sistemare un osso della mano destra. Il professor Thierry Kapandji, un noto specialista della mano ha effettuato un intervento chirurgico presso la clinica de l’Yvette vicino a Parigi. L’osso è stato sistemato e inseriti perni per riparare il danno; il francese ha ora un periodo di convalescenza di un mese, e sarà sottoposto ad un trattamento dedicato che lo terrà lontano delle corse nel corso dei prossimi due mesi.
Jordi Tixier: “Sono ovviamente deluso, ma questo è anche parte delle corse e ora sono concentrato sul mio recupero. E ‘stata una stagione difficile, ora è il momento di passare alla classe MXGP e inserire un nuovo capitolo della mia carriera sempre con la Kawasaki. ”
Jean Jacques Luisetti: “E ‘stata una grande esperienza per noi lavorare con Jordi, ci porta tutta la sua conoscenza e l’esperienza di un campione del mondo e siamo stati contenti di vederlo in un paio di podi. After his crash during a practice session at Mantova last weekend, Jordi Tixier underwent a successful surgery in France. The Monster Energy Kawasaki MX2 rider will miss the rest of the season.
Coming back to France on Sunday with a painful hand, Jordi Tixier had surgery on Monday afternoon to replace a bone in his right hand. Professor Thierry Kapandji, a well-known specialist of the hand carried out surgery at the clinic de l’Yvette near Paris. The bone has been replaced and pins were put in to fix the damage; the Frenchman has now to stay in a plaster for one month, and will later enter a dedicated treatment that will keep away out of racing during the next two months.
Jordi Tixier: “I’m of course disappointed but that’s also part of racing and now I’m focus on my recovery. It has been a tough season, now it’s time to move to the MXGP class and enter a new chapter of my career always with Kawasaki.”
Jean Jacques Luisetti: “It has been a great experience for us to work with Jordi, he brings us all his knowledge and experience of a World Champion and we were pleased to see him on a couple of podiums. The season comes to an end too early for him, we’ll now focus on Petar and Thomas who both show good speed in the past weeks and can expect some strong results in the last three rounds of the series.”
