Savatgy Lands On The Podium To Finish Off The Series

Corona, Calif. (August 24, 2015) – The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Team had an excellent ending to the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Series. Both Joey Savatgy and Chris Alldredge had solid Motos, with Joey finished on the box, taking 2nd overall, and Chris earning 14th overall at the Ironman National Raceway.

For Savatgy, Saturday was the day he had to perform and leave it all on the track, and he did just that! In the first moto, he made it within the top group out of the gate and pushed hard to finish 5th. In Moto 2, Savatgy battled it out with a Yamaha rider, and finished 2nd. Joey landed on the podium with 2nd overall for Ironman, solidifying his 3rd place finish for the championship.

“I’m a little frustrated on how today went, I wish I could have gotten the win for the team, Mitch and myself but I’m very happy to finish two of the last three rounds up on the box…I think it shows we’re learning and getting better at each race. I’m looking forward to keeping the momentum going into training for next year.”

Alldredge Fighting Till The End

Chris Alldredge had another week of solid riding. In Moto 1, he stayed within the top 10 for a majority of the race and was able to lock down a well deserved 7th place finish. In Moto 2, his confidence and speed were evident, but a few mistakes would set him back to finish 31st. Chris took 14th overall at Ironman and finished 13th in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.

“The first moto was a good race, especially after not having a lot of time on the track, I was able to climb my way up to seventh after a poor start, which felt good…In the second moto I made two mistakes which ended with me pulling out of the race. I learned a lot from this season and I now know what it takes to be a title contender and I’m going to continue to strive towards that goal.”
