Romain Febvre prolunga il suo contratto con il Team Yamaha Factory Racing Yamalube.

La stella della classe MXGP e vincitore delle ultime due gare del Campionato del Mondo FIM Motocross, Romain Febvre, ha firmato per rimanere con il team Yamaha Factory Racing Yamalube per le stagioni 2016 e 2017.

Il 23enne è in forma eccezionale nel suo primo anno da rookie nella classe regina e nella sua prima stagione con la YZ450FM. Il francese ha ottenuto il suo primo podio in Spagna per il sesto round dei nove tenuti finora, poi ha ottenuto la vittoria in Francia e in Italia lo scorso fine settimana. La sua velocità esplosiva e impressionante ha trainato il ‘461’ al terzo posto in classifica MXGP.

Febvre è arrivato nella classe MX2 nel 2014 dopo aver preso la terza posizione in campionato e celebrando la sua prima vittoria in un Gran Premio a Trindade in Brasile. La stagione precedente è salito sul podio del Gran Premio per la prima volta e solo tre anni prima era campione europeo. La sua ascesa è stata rapida ed enfatica e Romain è il tipico ambasciatore per l’equipaggio italiano ed il marchio Yamaha da quando ha cominciato i test durante l’inverno.
“Mi è piaciuto come tutti erano molto vicini e mi volevano bene; è stato come essere arrivato in una famiglia “, ha detto Romain. “Per la squadra non è mai abbastanza per i piloti e hanno sempre voglia di migliorare. Anche quando sono venuto fuori pista e ho fatto l’intervista televisiva lo scorso fine settimana stavamo già parlando di parti in cui possiamo migliorare. Certo che sono felice di rimanere con la Yamaha. Hanno creduto in me l’anno scorso nel far firmare un giovane pilota MX2 e di sicuro dobbiamo essere soddisfatti di come tutto è andato. Imparo in fretta e posso adattarmi bene e penso che questo ha aiutato. “

“Romain è venuto nel nostro team ufficiale molto semplicemente ed efficacemente e la sua abilità nel lavoro è stato davvero mostrata negli ultimi Gran Premi,” ha commentato il Yamaha Motor Europe MX Direttore Erik Eggens. “E ‘stato un ottimo complemento alla struttura Yamaha e alla nostra famiglia ed è fantastico che saremo insieme per più tempo.”

Romain Febvre stays Yamaha MXGP for two more years

MXGP star and winner of the last two rounds of the FIM Motocross World Championship, Romain Febvre, has signed to stay with the Yamaha Factory Racing Yamalube team for the 2016 and 2017 campaigns.

The 23 year old has been in outstanding form in his rookie term in the premier class and in his first season with the YZ450FM. The Frenchman gained his maiden podium finish in Spain for the sixth round of the nine held so far and then claimed victory in France and last weekend’s rain-hit Italian fixture. His explosive and impressive speed has pulled ‘461’ up to third place in the MXGP standings.

Febvre graduated from the MX2 class in 2014 having taken third position in the championship and celebrating his first Grand Prix victory at Trindade in Brazil. The previous season he walked a Grand Prix podium for the first time and only three years before that was European Champion. His rise has been quick and emphatic and Romain has been a fine ambassador for the Italian works crew and the Yamaha brand since coming into the set-up during the winter.

“I liked how everybody was very close and got on well; it was like I was coming into a family,” Romain said. “The team cannot do enough for the riders and they always want to improve. Even when I came off the track and did the TV interview last weekend we were already talking about parts where we can get better again. Of course I’m happy to stay with Yamaha. They believed in me last year to sign a young rider from MX2 and for sure we have to be pleased with how everything has gone so far. I learn quickly and I can adapt well and I think this has helped.”
