Con un vantaggio di 45 punti Jeffrey Herlings lotta per il terzo titolo olandese che è molto vicino, ma è un facile bottino per il 18enne olandese Herlings. Durante il quinto round del Dutch Open Championship MX2 KNMV a Markelo il pilota KTM ha vinto entrambe le manche. Glenn Coldenhoff (2-3) ha terminato secondo nella classifica giornaliera, in lotta con il connazionale, ma la seconda manche ha terminato terzo con una bella rimonta. Il podio è stato completato da Alessandro Lupino (4-2)!

Jeffrey Herlings close of winning the Dutch title in Markelo
Jeffrey Herlings of the Red Bull KTM Factory Team has won both motos of the penultimate round of the Dutch Open Championship in Markelo. He came close of winning the Dutch title already with still one race to go but he came five points short. Glenn Coldenhoff finished second overall 2-3 in front of Alessandro Lupino 4-2.
