RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING EXTENDS AARON PLESSINGER CONTRACT INTO 2025 SEASON
MURRIETA, California – La Red Bull KTM Factory Racing ha ingaggiato nuovamente Aaron Plessinger, il preferito dai fan, per la stagione 2025 del Campionato mondiale SuperMotocross (SMX), che continuerà a includere i campionati AMA Supercross e Pro Motocross prima della serie SMX Finals.
A 28 anni, Plessinger è attualmente nel pieno della sua carriera nella classe regina, per rimanere equipaggiato con la KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION fino al prossimo anno e per continuare la rapida progressione che lui e il team avevano raggiunto nella 450SX in questa stagione , prima di essere ferito nel round 13 a Foxborough.
“The Cowboy” è stato in forma spettacolare durante il 2024, mantenendo la tabella rossa per più round dopo aver ottenuto la sua prima vittoria in carriera nella 450SX a San Diego, e poi ottenendo ulteriori podi ad Anaheim 2 Triple Crown e ad Arlington. Sfortunatamente salterà gli ultimi quattro round del Supercross a causa di un gomito fratturato, ma si aspetta di essere pronto a correre quando i cancelli del campionato AMA Pro Motocross scenderanno a Pala, in California, il 25 maggio.
Plessinger è entrato a far parte della Red Bull KTM Factory Racing nel 2022, guadagnando slancio nel 2023 finendo terzo nella classifica finale 450MX e quinta posizione nel campionato 450SMX inaugurale, prima della sua campagna di successo quest’anno.
Aaron Plessinger: “Sono davvero entusiasta di restare con la Red Bull KTM fino al 2025. È una squadra fantastica e penso che faremo grandi cose insieme in futuro, ancora più grandi e migliori di quelle che abbiamo già fatto e raggiunto fin’ora. Non potrei essere più entusiasta di restare in questa famiglia e di costruire su dove siamo, sul livello che siamo stati in grado di raggiungere in questa stagione. Per quest’anno abbiamo apportato alcuni importanti cambiamenti nel pre-stagione e da allora non ho cambiato affatto la moto, il che ha funzionato davvero a nostro favore. Ho vinto il mio primo Main Event di Supercross, ho ottenuto tre podi in totale e quest’anno qualcosa è scattato per noi è il divertimento più grande che ho avuto in tutta la mia carriera in 450 e mi sto semplicemente godendo il viaggio, il che è raro, e sono molto fortunato di tornare per il 2025, quindi spero che continueremo a progredire e darò del mio meglio per raggiungere il livello a cui miriamo una volta che sarò di nuovo in grado di schierarmi all’aperto. Continuerò a dare il massimo quando tornerò dall’infortunio e sono davvero felice di restare con l’equipaggio.”

RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING EXTENDS AARON PLESSINGER CONTRACT INTO 2025 SEASON
At 28 years of age, Plessinger is currently in the prime of his premier class career, to remain equipped with the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION into next year and to continue the rapid progression that he and the team had achieved in 450SX this season, prior to him being injured in Round 13 at Foxborough.
‘The Cowboy’ has been in spectacular form during 2024, holding the red plate for multiple rounds after picking up his first-career 450SX victory in San Diego, and then going on to claim additional podium finishes at the Anaheim 2 Triple Crown and in Arlington. He will unfortunately miss the final four rounds of Supercross with a fractured elbow, but is expecting to be READY TO RACE when the gates drop on the AMA Pro Motocross Championship in Pala, California, on May 25th.
Plessinger first joined Red Bull KTM Factory Racing in 2022, gaining momentum in 2023 by finishing third in the final 450MX standings and fifth position in the inaugural 450SMX Championship, prior to his breakout campaign this year.
Aaron Plessinger: “I’m really excited to be staying with Red Bull KTM through 2025. It is an awesome team and I think we’re going to do some big things together in the future – even bigger and better than what we’ve achieved so far. I couldn’t be more stoked to be staying within this family and building upon where we’re at, the level that we have been able to reach this season. For this year we made some major changes in the pre-season and really haven’t changed the bike at all since, which has really, really worked out in our favor. I’ve won my first Supercross Main Event, have gotten three podiums in total, and something’s clicked for us this year. This is the most enjoyment I’ve had in my entire 450 career and I’m just enjoying the ride, which is rare, and I’m very fortunate. I’m stoked to be back for 2025, so hope we keep progressing and I will be doing my best to perform to the level that we aim to once I am able to line up again outdoors.
