BEST IN THE PITS // 2024 SAN FRANCISCO SUPERCROSS

The 2024 San Francisco Supercross is here and its round two of the 2024 Monster Energy Supercross Championship. Jett Lawrence took the win at Anaheim 1, and now he has a stacked class of 450 competitors behind him, ready to take the top spot this weekend. Jason Anderson, Chase Sexton, Cooper Webb, Eli Tomac and Ken Roczen are all looking to snag a win in San Francisco, and the added difficulty of rain and mud could make it even more difficult. For our Best in the Pits video, MXA’s Trevor Nelson scoured the very spread-out San Francisco paddock and he talked to multiple riders and mechanics about the potential mud.

SAN FRANCISCO SUPERCROSS 2024 – INFO & RACE LINKS

Monster Energy AMA Supercross heads to Oracle Park in San Francisco, California this Saturday night but it won’t be without a little bit of moisture. Rain is headed towards the bay area and as such, press day riding on the track was cancelled for the athletes as the track crew worked to seal off the track from the impending rainfall. We scoured the pits on Friday afternoon and caught up with Ken Roczen, Julien Beaumer, Phil Nicoletti, Robbie Wageman, Shane McElrath, and TJ Albright ahead of the race to hear their thoughts on Anaheim 1 last week and what they expect out of the second round tomorrow

A return to San Francisco’s Bay Area could provide Monster Energy Supercross competitors with quite a challenge – heavy rainfall has turned Oracle Park into somewhat of a swamp. Feld’s track crew have been at hard work to salvage what they can and, bearing that in mind, no riding took place on press day. Ken Roczen, Julien Beaumer, Phil Nicoletti and Cade Clason were still available in the covered paddock to talk about the second round.
