LA STORICA ERNEE DÀ IL BENVENUTO ALLA 76ESIMA EDIZIONE DEL MONSTER ENERGY FIM MOTOCROSS OF NAZIONI
MONACO (Principato di Monaco) 3 ottobre 2023 – Il Monster Energy FIM Motocross delle Nazioni 2023 si svolgerà a Ernée il 6-7-8 ottobre e l’entusiasmo sta crescendo tra i piloti, i team e tutti gli appassionati di motocross di tutto il mondo in quello che sarà un evento eccezionale.
Ernée è nota per il suo pubblico appassionato ed elettrizzante, e il circuito Raymond Demy ha una ricca storia di prestigiosi eventi di motocross, tra cui memorabili gare di Motocross delle Nazioni nel 2005 e 2015. L’iconica partenza del circuito, circondato da un muro di spettatori entusiasti è semplicemente impressionante mentre rinomata è l’atmosfera di Ernée, caratterizzata da tifosi gremiti che circondano la pista, creando un’atmosfera elettrizzante e leggendaria.
Si prevede che l’evento attirerà una folla enorme e i fan appassionati saranno una forza trainante dietro le prestazioni delle squadre, garantendo uno spettacolo di fuoristrada spettacolare. Il Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations 2023 è un evento da non perdere, con 38 Nazioni, i migliori piloti di motocross del mondo che garantiscono un fine settimana esaltante.
Nelle ultime tre edizioni del Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, le nazioni di casa hanno tutte ottenuto la vittoria con il Team Netherlands che ha ottenuto un dominio storico ad Assen nel 2019, assicurandosi la prima vittoria in assoluto nell’evento. Nel 2021, il Team Italia è uscito vittorioso a Mantova dopo una battaglia molto combattuta, conquistando la vittoria con un margine ristretto. Alla fine, nel 2022, il Team USA ha posto fine in modo impressionante a 11 anni di siccità nella competizione, vincendo in casa al RedBud in un’atmosfera sensazionale.
Questo fine settimana, il Team USA è il campione in carica e storicamente la migliore nazione della competizione con 23 titoli. La loro formazione sarà composta da Aaron Plessinger, RJ Hampshire e Christian Craig, e vorrà vincere il primo Chamberlain Trophy del Team USA in Europa dal 2011.

Il Team France sarà la squadra di casa e una delle favorite con Romain Febvre , Maxime Renaux e Tom Vialle. Loro tre sono stati campioni del mondo di motocross e sembrano essere quelli da tenere d’occhio, soprattutto con il grande seguito francese che li segue e li supporta in casa. Febvre è nella migliore forma della sua carriera in questo momento e adora questa pista dato che è stato uno stravagante campione Open Individuale al MXoN 2015 di Ernee. Vialle ha trascorso il suo anno in America, maturando molta esperienza. Renaux ha saltato l’ultima edizione del Campionato MXGP in Gran Bretagna, ma ora è nel pieno delle sue forze e il team lavorerà duro per assicurarsi che la stella francese torni al meglio per l’MXoN.
Team Australia – Uno dei grandi favoriti dei fratelli Lawrence che hanno avuto un successo incredibile in questa stagione in America. Jett Lawrence vanta un record perfetto di 22 vittorie su 22 in questa stagione negli Stati Uniti ed è stato il campione individuale Open lo scorso anno al MXoN di RedBud. Suo fratello Hunter ha vinto il Pro Motocross nella 250cc in questa stagione in quello che è stato un anno da sogno per i fratelli. Il terzo pilota è Dean Ferris che ha vinto il campionato australiano MX1 per la quarta volta in questa stagione. Il Team Australia è arrivato terzo la scorsa stagione a RedBud ma non ha mai vinto l’MXoN, ha tutte le qualità per realizzarlo quest’anno.
La squadra belga è la squadra più giovane dell’anno con un’età media di 19,3 anni. Il forte trio belga sarà guidato da Jago Geerts , Liam Everts e Lucas Coenen . Tre piloti che potrebbero essere proprio quelli ad alzare il trofeo vista la grande stagione vissuta da tutti, che regalerebbe al Belgio un altro titolo MXoN, 10 anni dopo l’ultimo Chamberlain Trophy vinto a Teutschenthal nel 2013.
La squadra spagnola vanterà tra le sue fila il neo incoronato campione del mondo MXGP Jorge Prado insieme al vincitore del Gran Premio Ruben Fernandez e al pilota MX2 recentemente annunciato Oriol Oliver . Si contenderanno il podio con una squadra giovane ma esperta. Per il Team Germany , il ritorno di Ken Roczen alla MXoN dopo cinque anni sarà un immenso stimolo per la squadra, con il velocissimo Simon Laengenfelder che ha avuto una stagione superba nella MX2 finendo 3° nel campionato e Tom Koch che sta completando la squadra in quella che sarà una formazione esperta.

Ci sono altre squadre che sicuramente lotteranno per le prime posizioni, come il Team Netherlands che schiererà gli stessi corridori dell’anno scorso con Glenn Coldenhoff , Kay de Wolf e Calvin Vlaanderen . Torneranno tutti con qualcosa da dimostrare dopo il settimo posto ottenuto a RedBud l’anno scorso. Il Team Italia, che è arrivato 4° lo scorso anno a RedBud, sarà un altro forte sfidante con Alberto Forato che ha concluso 7° nel campionato MXGP , il neo incoronato campione del mondo MX2 Andrea Adamo e il campione europeo EMX250 Andrea Bonacorsi .
Oltre agli ovvi favoriti per il trofeo, ci sono altri team che potrebbero giocare i guai e produrre qualche exploit come il Team Lettonia composto dai fratelli Reisulis , Janis e Karlis e guidato da Pauls Jonass che ha firmato il suo ritorno al vertice in MXGP lo scorso mese. Da non dimenticare il Team Svizzera che metterà a frutto la sua enorme esperienza per aggiudicarsi un risultato con il cinque volte vice campione del mondo di motocross Jeremy Seewer , Arnaud Tonus e Valentin Guillod.

La 76a edizione dell’evento vedrà l’enorme partecipazione di 38 squadre, tra cui la squadra speciale che rappresenta la FIM America Latina, e altre squadre provenienti da diversi continenti come Repubblica del Sud Africa , Cile , Guam , Porto Rico, Marocco e Brasile . Aspettatevi un evento che promette di essere più grande e spettacolare che mai, con un roster eccezionalmente competitivo che aggiungerà un elemento di imprevedibilità al podio finale!

HISTORIC ERNEE WELCOMES THE 76TH EDITION OF THE MONSTER ENERGY FIM MOTOCROSS OF NATIONS
MONACO (Principality of Monaco) 3 October 2023 – The 2023 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations is set to take place in Ernée on 6-7-8 October and the excitement is mounting among riders, teams and every motocross fans around the world in what will be an exceptional event.
Ernée is known for its passionate and electrifying crowd, and the Raymond Demy circuit has a rich history of hosting prestigious motocross events, including memorable Motocross of Nations races in 2005 and 2015. The circuit’s iconic start, surrounded by a wall of enthusiastic spectators is simply impressive while Ernée’s atmosphere is renowned, characterized by tightly-packed fans encircling the track, creating an electrifying and legendary atmosphere.
The event is anticipated to draw a massive crowd, and the passionate fans will be a driving force behind the teams’ performances, ensuring a spectacular off-road show. The 2023 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations is a must-see event with the world’s top motocross riders which guarantee an exhilarating weekend.
In the past three editions of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, the home nations have all claimed victory with Team Netherlands achieving a historical domination in Assen in 2019, securing their first-ever win in the event. In 2021, Team Italy emerged victorious in Mantova after a closely contested battle, clinching the victory by the narrowest of margins. Finally, in 2022, Team USA ended an 11-year drought in the competition in impressive fashion, winning on their home turf at RedBud amongst a sensational atmosphere.
This weekend, Team USA is the defending Champion and historically the best nation of the competition with 23 Titles. Their line-up will be Aaron Plessinger, R.J Hampshire and Christian Craig, and will want to win the first Chamberlain Trophy by Team USA in Europe since 2011.

Team France will be the home team and one of the favourites with Romain Febvre, Maxime Renaux and Tom Vialle. The three of them have been Motocross World Champion and look to be the ones to watch, especially with the large French following and supporting them at home. Febvre is on the best form of his career at the moment and loves this track as he was a flamboyant Open Individual Champion at the 2015 MXoN in Ernee. Vialle has spent his year in America, gaining a lot of experience. Renaux missed the last even of the MXGP Championship in Great Britain but it’s now in full force and the team will work hard to make sure that the french star is back at his best for the MXoN.
Team Australia – One of the big favourites with the Lawrence brothers who have been incredibly successful this season in America. Jett Lawrence boasts a perfect record of 22 race wins out of 22 this season in the US and was the Open individual champion last year at the MXoN in RedBud. His brother Hunter won Pro Motocross in 250cc this season in what was a dream year for the siblings. The third rider is Dean Ferris who won the Australian MX1 Championship for the fourth time this season. Team Australia finshed third last season in RedBud but they never won the MXoN yet, they have all the quality to make it happen this year.
Team Belgium is the youngest team of the year with an average age of 19.3 years old. The strong Belgian trio will be led by Jago Geerts, Liam Everts and Lucas Coenen. Three riders that could well be the ones to lift the trophy given the great season the all experienced, which would give Belgium another MXoN title, 10 years after the last Chamberlain Trophy won in Teutschenthal in 2013.
The Spanish team will boast the newly crowned MXGP World Champion Jorge Prado into his ranks along with Grand Prix winner Ruben Fernandez and recently announced MX2 rider Oriol Oliver. They will be contender for the podium with a young yet experienced team. For Team Germany, the comeback of Ken Roczen to the MXoN after five years will be an immense boost for the team, with the lightening-quick Simon Laengenfelder who had a superb season in MX2 finishing 3rd in the Championship and Tom Koch who is completing the team in what will be an experienced line-up.

There are other teams that will definitely fight for the top spots such as Team Netherlands that is lining up the same riders as last year with Glenn Coldenhoff, Kay de Wolf and Calvin Vlaanderen. They will all come back with a point to prove following their 7th place in RedBud last year. Team Italy, who finished 4th last year in RedBud will be another strong challenger with Alberto Forato who finished 7th in the MXGP Championship, the newly crowned MX2 World Champion Andrea Adamo and EMX250 European Champion Andrea Bonacorsi.
Besides the obvious favourites for the might trophy, there are other team that could play the troublemakers and produce some exploits such as Team Latvia composed of the Reisulis Brothers, Janis and Karlis and led by Pauls Jonass who has signed his return to the top in MXGP last month. Not to forget Team Switzerland who is going to play on their massive experience to clinch a resutl with the five-time Vice Motocross World Champion Jeremy Seewer, Arnaud Tonus and Valentin Guillod.

The 76th edition of the event will see the huge participation of 38 teams, including the special team representing FIM Latin America, and other teams coming from different continents such as Rep of South Africa, Chile, Guam, Puerto Rico, Morocco and Brazil. Expect an event that promises to be larger and more spectacular than ever before, with an exceptionally competitive roster that is adding an element of unpredictability to the final podium!
