LIAM EVERTS E RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING CONTINUANO LA LORO STORIA MX2 PER IL 2024 E OLTRE

La Red Bull KTM Factory Racing ha compiuto un altro passo avanti verso la formazione MX2 del FIM Motocross World Championship per il 2024 con la conferma di un’estensione del contratto pluriennale per Liam Everts. Il belga entrerà nel suo secondo mandato di Gran Premio con l’equipaggio ufficiale insieme all’attuale compagno di squadra Andrea Adamo.

Everts è un “rookie” di un pilota ufficiale nel 2023 e ha già impressionato con la top five, quattro podi – i primi trofei MX2 della sua carriera – e la sua prima vittoria nel Gran Premio; sequestrato in Germania il mese scorso. Il 2023 è solo la seconda stagione di Everts a livello di campionato del mondo. Si è ripreso da un dito rotto all’inizio della sua stagione di debutto nel 2022 ed è stato presto un nome fisso nella top ten della MX2, registrando quattro risultati nelle prime cinque manche e salendo al 10° posto nella classifica del campionato.

Scelto per recitare nei colori della Red Bull KTM Factory Racing per il ’23, Everts ha imparato di nuovo e ha fatto progressi. Ha spruzzato champagne sul podio per la prima volta in Italia e nel Gran Premio del Trentino (quarto round) e da allora ha portato la KTM 250 SX-F ufficiale sul podio in altre tre occasioni fino ad oggi: Francia, Germania e Indonesia. Si trova quinto nella classifica dei punti MX2 prima del suo evento di casa a Lommel questo fine settimana.

Liam proviene dal famoso stock di corse di motocross e la sua maturità, attitudine e versatilità significano che continua a essere una parte importante del programma di sviluppo dei talenti del motorsport KTM.

Liam Everts: “Sono davvero felice di estendere il mio contratto con KTM e di aver trovato una ‘casa’. Sto lavorando davvero bene con la squadra e mi sono fatto strada verso la testa. I progressi che abbiamo fatto quest’anno sono stati molto buoni e molto belli e aver già vinto un GP è al di sopra delle aspettative. Ho fame di più. Continuare in arancione è quello che volevo e ora non vedo l’ora di vivere un altro paio di stagioni insieme”.

LIAM EVERTS AND RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING TO CONTINUE THEIR MX2 STORY FOR 2024 AND BEYOND

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing took another step towards cementing their FIM Motocross World Championship MX2 line-up for 2024 with confirmation of a multi-year contract extension for Liam Everts. The Belgian will enter his second Grand Prix term with the works crew alongside current teammate Andrea Adamo.

Everts is a factory rider ‘rookie’ in 2023 and has already impressed with top five speed, four podium finishes – the first MX2 trophies of his career – and his maiden Grand Prix victory; seized in Germany last month. 2023 is only Everts’ second season at world championship level. He recovered from a broken finger at the beginning of his debutant campaign in 2022 and was soon a regular name inside the MX2 top ten, logging four top-five moto results and rising to 10th in the championship standings.
 
Plucked to star in Red Bull KTM Factory Racing colors for ’23, Everts has again learned and progressed. He sprayed podium champagne for the first time in Italy and the Grand Prix of Trentino (round four) and has since taken the factory KTM 250 SX-F to the rostrum on three other occasions to-date: France, Germany and Indonesia. He sits 5th in the MX2 points table ahead of his home event in Lommel this weekend.
 
Liam heralds from famous motocross racing stock, and his maturity, attitude and versatility means he continues to be an important part of the KTM motorsport talent development program.
 
Liam Everts: “I’m really happy to extend my contract with KTM and to have found a ‘home’. I’m working really well with the team and have been building my way to the front. The progress we have made this year has been very good and very nice and to have won a GP already is above expectations. I’m hungry for more. To continue in orange is what I wanted and now I’m looking forward to a couple more seasons together.”
