Thibault Benistant costretto a saltare il Gran Premio della Repubblica Ceca dopo un incidente in qualifica
Thibault Benistant della Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 si è ritirato dal round 12 del Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross, a Loket, Repubblica Ceca, a seguito di una pesante caduta durante la gara di qualificazione MX2 di sabato 15 luglio.
Nonostante avesse stabilito il ritmo nelle prove cronometrate e fosse partito dalla P.1, Benistant è stato tamponato alle spalle da un altro pilota che non ha frenato in tempo, provocando una pesante caduta sul rettilineo di partenza. Il 21enne francese, che detiene la seconda posizione nella classifica del campionato MX2, è stato subito portato al centro medico in loco e poi trasportato al più vicino ospedale di Karlovy Vary per ulteriori accertamenti. È interessante notare che Benistant è stato liberato da eventuali fratture o lesioni gravi ed è stato dimesso dall’ospedale la stessa notte.
Anche se Benistant è stato scagionato da qualsiasi grave infortunio, la Yamaha, in consultazione con il medico della FIM, questa mattina, domenica 16 luglio, ha preso la difficile decisione di ritirarlo dal Gran Premio della Repubblica Ceca. La priorità principale è garantire il suo benessere e concedergli il tempo necessario per riprendersi completamente.

Thibault Benistant Forced to Miss Czech Grand Prix After Qualifying Race Crash
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2’s Thibault Benistant has withdrawn from round 12 of the FIM Motocross World Championship, in Loket, Czech Republic, following a heavy fall during the MX2 Qualifying Race on Saturday 15th July.
Despite setting the pace in the Timed Practice and starting from P.1, Benistant was hit from behind by another rider who did not brake in time, resulting in a heavy crash on the start straight. The 21-year-old Frenchman, who holds the second position in the MX2 Championship Standings, was immediately taken to the on-site medical center and then transported to the nearest hospital in Karlovy Vary for further evaluation. It is noteworthy that Benistant was cleared from any fractures or serious injury and was discharged from the hospital the same night.
Even though Benistant was cleared from any severe injury, Yamaha, in consultation with the FIM doctor, this morning, Sunday 16th July, have made the difficult decision to withdraw him from the Czech Grand Prix. The main priority is ensuring his well-being and allowing him the necessary time to recover fully.
