MALCOLM STEWART EXTENDS CONTRACT THROUGH 2025 WITH HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING

IMPOSTATO A CONTINUARE NEI CAMPIONATI AMA SUPERCROSS E PRO MOTOCROSS PER ALTRE DUE STAGIONI

Il Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team è lieto di annunciare che Malcolm Stewart ha firmato un’estensione del contratto di due anni per continuare nel SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) attraverso le stagioni 2024 e 2025, comprese le serie AMA Supercross e Pro Motocross.

Dopo essere entrato a far parte di Husqvarna Motorcycles nel 2022, il trentenne Stewart ha sottolineato le sue capacità sul podio a bordo della FC 450 Rockstar Edition ai massimi livelli del Supercross e si è classificato terzo nella sua campagna inaugurale 450SX con il marchio la scorsa stagione.

Continuando a costruire su quella forma all’inizio di quest’anno, Stewart ha mostrato una velocità vincente nei round di apertura della nuova stagione, inclusi i giri di testa ad Anaheim 1 e poi la qualificazione più veloce e la vittoria della sua gara di qualifica a San Diego, prima di essere sfortunatamente messo da parte alla fine di gennaio e ha subito un intervento chirurgico al ginocchio.

Da allora Stewart ha continuato ad andare oltre con il suo programma di riabilitazione, determinato a raggiungere il 100% prima di tornare in sella e fare il suo ritorno competitivo, pienamente supportato dal team Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing nel suo recupero.

“Non potremmo essere più felici di avere Malcolm sotto contratto per altri due anni”, ha commentato Nathan Ramsey, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team Manager. “Prima dell’infortunio di Malcolm ci era chiaro che era pronto per vincere le gare e competere per il campionato nel 2023. Malcolm non è solo uno dei preferiti dai fan, ma è anche un piacere averlo come parte del team Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing, e crediamo fermamente che Malcolm tornerà a correre e sarà migliore che mai”.

The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team is pleased to announce that Malcolm Stewart has signed a two-year contract extension to continue in the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) through the 2024 and 2025 seasons, including the AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross series.
 
After joining Husqvarna Motorcycles in 2022, 30-year-old Stewart has underlined his podium capabilities onboard the FC 450 Rockstar Edition at the highest level of Supercross and finished third in his inaugural 450SX campaign with the brand last season.

In continuing to build upon that form earlier this year, Stewart displayed race-winning speed in the opening rounds of the new season – including leading laps at Anaheim 1 and then qualifying fastest and winning his Heat race in San Diego – before he was unfortunately sidelined in late January and underwent knee surgery.

Stewart has since continued to go above and beyond with his rehab program, determined to reach 100 percent before getting back on the bike and making his competitive return, fully supported by the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team in his recovery.
