Cooper Webb ha pubblicato un altro aggiornamento sugli infortuni dopo il suo brutto incidente a Nashville che lo ha visto abbandonare prematuramente la stagione SX, gli è stato consigliato di prendersi 6-8 settimane di pausa dalla moto e poi avrà bisogno di un po’ di tempo per prepararsi al suo ritorno alle corse. Questa pausa di tempo dalla moto esclude Webb dall’inizio del National, tornerà verso la fine del Pro Motocross prima di correre i play off del SuperMotocross.
Webb e l’aggiornamento sui social media:
“Ciao ragazzi, ho pensato di darvi un piccolo aggiornamento. Quindi, sì, Nashville è stata la fine della mia stagione di Supercross. Ho avuto l’incidente e ho avuto una buona commozione cerebrale. Sono andato in ospedale subito dopo la gara e ho fatto un sacco di scansioni: TAC e risonanza magnetica. Ho finito per passare la notte lì, per fortuna niente di troppo complicato, una commozione cerebrale moderata è come la chiamavano. Sono stato molto fortunato in termini di collo, clavicola e tutto andava bene, niente di rotto e niente di danneggiato, solo qualche livido. Sfortunatamente, quella è stata la fine della mia corsa al Supercross quest’anno. Ho sentito che abbiamo spinto molto forte e fatto passi da gigante verso la vittoria di un altro campionato. Ho avuto un grande anno con alcune belle battaglie, è stato un modo sfortunato per finire ma so di dare il massimo. Sono stato lì per la lotta tutto l’anno e devo appendere il cappello in alto su questo. Non posso essere troppo deluso da come è andata la stagione, ovviamente avrei voluto vincere altre gare ed essere un po’ più vicino, anche se undici punti a tre round dalla fine sono ancora vicini, mi sentivo.
Successivamente per me, si consiglia di prendere sei-otto settimane dalla moto da cross per far riposare davvero la testa e non far accadere nulla di spaventoso più avanti nella vita. Sarò in via di guarigione per le prossime sei-otto settimane passerò la vita di papà a godermi il tempo con mia moglie e mia figlia, il che sarà fantastico. Diventerò un tipo normale per un po’. Inizieremo quindi la preparazione MX, voglio fare alcune delle ultime tappe di National, se non l’ultima metà. Vedremo cosa succede lì e poi andremo a fare i play off SMX. A partire da ora, non inizierò il National, mi prenderò una pausa e, si spera, tornerò verso la fine del Pro Motocross. Apprezzo tutto l’amore e vi terrò aggiornati ragazzi ”
Webb offered the following update on social media:
“Hi guys, I thought I’d give you a little bit of an update. So, yeah, Nashville was the end of my Supercross season. I had the incident and had a pretty good concussion. I went to the hospital straight away from the race and did a bunch of scans – CT and MRI. I ended up staying the night there, luckily nothing came back too crazy, moderate concussion is what they called it. I was very fortunate there in terms of my neck, collarbone and everything was good, nothing broken and nothing damaged, just some bruises. Unfortunately, that was the end of my Supercross run this year. I felt we pushed really hard and made massive strides towards winning another championship. I had a great year with some good battles, it was an unfortunate way for it to end but I know I give it my all. I was there for the fight all year and I have to hang my hat high on that. I can’t be too bummed with how the season went, I obviously wish I could have won some more races and been a little bit closer although eleven points with three rounds to go is still close, I felt like.
Next up for me, it’s recommended to take six-eight weeks off the dirt bike to really let my head rest and not have anything scary happen later in life. I’ll be on the mend for the next six-eight weeks going full Dad life enjoying time with my wife and daughter which will be great. I’ll get to be a normal dude for a little bit. We will then start the MX preparation, I want to do some of the last Nationals, if not the last half. We will see what happens there and then we’ll go and do the SMX play offs. As of now, I won’t be making the start of the Nationals, I’ll take some time off and hopefully be back towards the end of the Nationals. Appreciate all the love and I will keep you guys posted”
