Renaux colma il divario nell’inseguimento del campionato MXGP con il secondo podio consecutivo
Maxime Renaux della Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP ha mancato di poco la seconda vittoria consecutiva del Gran Premio al quarto round del Campionato mondiale FIM Motocross a Pietramurata, in Italia. Il francese ha messo a segno una prestazione ricca di energia, concludendo secondo in entrambe le gare e conquistando il secondo posto assoluto. Allo stesso tempo, Glenn Coldenhoff e Jeremy Seewer hanno affrontato le proprie sfide, finendo sesto e undicesimo assoluto.
La prestazione fenomenale di Renaux al MXGP del Trentino lo ha visto lottare partendo dal sesto posto fino al secondo posto in Gara Uno. Seewer, d’altra parte, è stato coinvolto in un caotico tamponamento alla prima curva nella gara di apertura e ha lottato per recuperare fino al 16° posto.
Lo stretto Circuito del Ciclamino e la sua impegnativa prima curva a 180 gradi hanno reso un’ottima partenza cruciale per il successo. Coldenhoff ha evitato il caos della prima curva e ha reagito da fuori zona finendo ottavo.
Nella seconda e ultima gara, Renaux ha continuato a stupire, ingaggiando un’intensa battaglia con il leader del campionato Jorge Prado. Tuttavia, la carica in ritardo di Jeffrey Herlings ha relegato Renaux al secondo posto, lasciandolo a un punto dalla vittoria consecutiva del Gran Premio.
Seewer, che si stava ancora riprendendo dai pesanti colpi subiti in Argentina, Sardegna e Svizzera, ha riconosciuto che il suo ritorno in forma avrebbe richiesto del tempo ed è stato soddisfatto della sua vivace corsa fino al quinto posto in Gara 2. Allo stesso tempo, Coldenhoff ha reagito da un altro inizio a metà gruppo per finire sesto.
Dopo il fine settimana movimentato, Renaux è ora al secondo posto nella classifica del campionato, a soli 17 punti dalla testa del campionato, mentre Coldenhoff è settimo e Seewer è nono.

“Devo essere contento di questo fine settimana. Ero tra i primi tre in ogni sessione, quindi è stato un weekend fantastico. Ovviamente sono un po’ deluso perché ho mancato la vittoria per 1 punto, ma questo fa parte del gioco. Non possiamo vincere ogni fine settimana. Sono solo felice che finalmente abbiamo fatto girare la palla e mi sento molto a mio agio, quindi da qui continueremo a lavorare e cercheremo di mantenere lo stesso slancio andando avanti.

“Nella prima gara dovevo rimontare da molto indietro dopo la caduta alla prima curva. I risultati non sono affatto vicino a quello che voglio. Due risultati solidi, alcuni buoni punti e un po’ di controllo dei danni oggi, ma vogliamo di più, vogliamo fare meglio”.

“Ieri ho avuto una buona giornata. Era solido. Ho avuto una buona velocità questo fine settimana, mi sento bene, ma al momento ci mancano le partenze e questo rende le cose difficili. Sento di avere la velocità, forse non sono al 100%, ma so di essere abbastanza bravo da finire tra i primi tre. Abbiamo avuto più sfortuna questo fine settimana. Sono entrato alla prima curva in quinta posizione e gli altri piloti sono caduti davanti a me. La mia seconda gara è stata solida, ma tutt’altro che facile, perché dopo le cadute che ho avuto quest’anno, il mio corpo si sente vuoto, non ho l’energia per lottare per la vittoria. Essere dove sono in campionato dopo quattro round è così lontano da dove voglio essere, ma cercherò di tornare al 100% e riorganizzarmi per il Portogallo”.

Renaux Closes the Gap in the MXGP Championship Chase with Second Consecutive Podium Finish
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP’s Maxime Renaux narrowly missed a second consecutive Grand Prix win at the fourth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Pietramurata, Italy. The Frenchman put in a power-packed performance to finish second in both races for second overall. At the same time, Glenn Coldenhoff and Jeremy Seewer faced their own challenges, finishing sixth and 11th overall.
Renaux’s phenomenal performance at the MXGP of Trentino saw him fight from a sixth-place start to finish second in Race One. Seewer, on the other hand, was caught in a chaotic first-turn pile-up in the opening race and battled to recover for 16th.
The tight Ciclamino Circuit and its challenging 180-degree first turn made an excellent start crucial for success. Coldenhoff avoided the first-turn chaos and fought back from outside the points to finish eighth.
In the second and final race, Renaux continued to impress, engaging in an intense battle with championship leader Jorge Prado. However, Jeffrey Herlings’ late charge relegated Renaux to second place, leaving him one point shy of a consecutive Grand Prix win.
Seewer, still recovering from the heavy knocks he took in Argentina, Sardinia and Switzerland, acknowledged his return to form would take time and was satisfied with his spirited ride to fifth in Race Two. At the same time, Coldenhoff fought back from another mid-pack start to finish sixth.
Following the eventful weekend, Renaux now ranks second in the championship standings, just 17 points shy of the championship lead, while Coldenhoff is seventh and Seewer is ninth.
With a weekend off to regroup, the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team eagerly anticipates the next round of the FIM Motocross World Championship that will take place in Agueda, Portugal, on April 29-30.

“I had a good day yesterday. It was solid. I had good speed this weekend, I feel good, but we are missing the starts at the moment, and this makes it difficult. I feel like I have the speed, maybe I am not 100%, but I know I am good enough to finish inside the top three. We had more bad luck this weekend. I went into the first turn in fifth, and the other riders crashed in front of me. My second race was solid, but it was far from easy, because after the crashes I have had this year, my body feels empty, I don’t have the energy to fight for wins. To be where I am in the championship after four rounds is so far from where I want to be, but I will try to get back to 100% and regroup for Portugal.”
