Campionato del Mondo MXGP Svizzera
Il Team SDMCORSE-AVIOMETAL MX TEAM e Nicholas Lapucci dopo il rientro in gara nel Campionato Italiano fanno il loro esordio nel Mondiale con la tappa Svizzera, pista molto particolare vecchio stile dal fondo duro e con canali profondi che l’hanno resa di difficile interpretazione.
Nicholas Lapucci è dovuto passare dalle qualifiche per essere inserito nel gruppo dei migliori, il pilota toscano con una buona prestazione e senza faticare ha ottenuto il pass per schierarsi al cancello nella manche di qualifica.
Nella manche di qualifica Nicholas purtroppo affrontando un profondo canale ha picchiato duro la caviglia infortunata ed è stato costretto al ritiro per il riacutizzarsi del dolore.
Nicholas Lapucci ha provato a schierarsi nella prima manche di sabato ma dopo pochi giri si è fermato perché il forte dolore non gli dava la possibilità di correre in sicurezza, insieme al team ha deciso di non prendere parte alla seconda gara e rientrare in Italia per sottoporsi ad alcuni trattamenti per cercare di essere pronto per la gara di casa la settimana prossima.
Daniele Marchese commenta così la gara: ”Purtroppo la sfortuna in questo inizio di stagione ci perseguita, sapevamo che non sarebbe stato facile in quanto Nicholas ha dovuto affrontare un lungo stop negli allenamenti e non è ancora al 100% ma nella manche di qualifica ha picchiato la caviglia e non ha potuto proseguire. Noi non molliamo e cercheremo di essere pronti per la seconda gara di casa ad Arco di Trento.”

MXGP World Championship Switzerland
After returning to the race in the Italian Championship, the SDMCORSE -AVIOMETAL MX TEAM and Nicholas Lapucci make their debut in the World Championship with the Swiss stage, a very special old-style track with a hard surface and deep ruts that made it difficult to interpret.
Nicholas Lapucci had to go through qualifying to be included in the group of the best, the Tuscan rider with a good performance and without struggling got the pass to line up at the gate in the qualifying heat.
In the qualifying heat Nicholas unfortunately faced a deep canal and hit his injured ankle hard and was forced to retire due to the flare up of the pain.
Nicholas Lapucci tried to line up in the first heat on Saturday but stopped after a few laps because the severe pain did not give him the opportunity to race safely, together with the team he decided not to take part in the second race and return to Italy to undergo some treatments to try and be ready for the home race next week.
Daniele Marchese comments on the race as follows: “Unfortunately, bad luck haunts us at the start of the season, we knew it wouldn’t be easy as Nicholas had to face a long stop in training and he’s not yet at 100% but in the qualifying heat he beat the ankle and was unable to continue. We are not giving up and will try to be ready for the second home race in Arco di Trento.”
