Renaux trionfa al Gran Premio di Svizzera tra le sfide per Seewer e Coldenhoff
Maxime Renaux della Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP ha celebrato una vittoria esaltante al terzo round del Campionato mondiale FIM Motocross a Frauenfeld, in Svizzera. Dimostrando abilità eccezionali sul circuito di Schollenholz accidentato ed estremamente tecnico, il francese si è assicurato un 2-1 per la vittoria assoluta. Allo stesso tempo, i compagni di squadra Jeremy Seewer e Glenn Coldenhoff hanno affrontato ostacoli per tutto il fine settimana. Seewer ha fatto una bella rimonta con un quinto posto nella gara finale per l’11° assoluto, mentre Coldenhoff è arrivato ottavo in Gara 1, risultando 15° assoluto.
Il FIM Motocross World Championship è tornato a Frauenfeld, in Svizzera, per la prima volta dal 2018, e alla vista gradita di migliaia di fan svizzeri rumorosi ed entusiasti. Dopo un sabato piovigginoso e un giorno libero la domenica di Pasqua, la pista della vecchia scuola era preparata in modo impeccabile e pronta per un’emozionante giornata di azione del Gran Premio.
Determinato ad avanzare nella classifica del campionato, Renaux ha mostrato un incredibile ritorno alla forma. Dopo aver concluso in seconda posizione nella gara di apertura, il tenace francese ha rapidamente preso il comando nel primo giro ufficiale di Gara 2 e si è lanciato verso una vittoria impeccabile, la sua prima della stagione.
Seewer e Coldenhoff hanno entrambi affrontato alcune sfide significative durante il fine settimana. Un altro pilota ha eliminato Seewer nel primo giro di Gara 1, che ha causato alcuni danni alla sua YZ450FM, mentre Coldenhoff ha dovuto affrontare problemi simili dopo essere stato coinvolto in un tamponamento alla prima curva in Gara 2. Entrambi, tuttavia, hanno sfidato la pista accidentata e tecnica, Seewer con il manubrio piegato e la leva della frizione rotta e Coldenhoff senza la leva del freno anteriore, ottenendo rispettivamente un solo punto per il 20° posto.
I 13 punti che Coldenhoff ha ottenuto in Gara Uno, combinati con l’1 di Gara Due, lo hanno portato al 15° posto per il Gran Premio. Allo stesso tempo, Seewer, beniamino dei tifosi svizzeri, ha deliziato il pubblico di casa con un’impressionante battaglia contro Jeffrey Herlings in Gara 2, ottenendo alla fine 16 punti per il quinto posto dopo un piccolo errore a metà gara.
Lo straordinario trionfo di Renaux riduce il divario a soli tre punti dal secondo posto nella classifica del campionato. È terzo, mentre Coldenhoff e Seewer occupano la settima e l’ottava posizione.
Il prossimo round del FIM Motocross World Championship si svolgerà a Pietramurata, in Italia, tra soli quattro giorni.

“È bello salire finalmente sul podio, soprattutto con una vittoria in Gara 2. È stato fantastico. Oggi non ho avuto le migliori partenze, ma sono stato bravo alla prima curva e veloce nel primo giro, quindi questo mi ha messo in una buona posizione. In Gara 2 ho appena preso il comando e non mi sono mai guardato indietro. È stato fantastico. Ora dobbiamo cercare di mantenere lo slancio e lavorare sulle partenze per rendere la mia vita un po’ più facile. Non vedo l’ora che arrivi il resto della stagione”.

“Mi sono sentito benissimo qui a Frauenfeld. Avevo una buona velocità e mi sentivo bene in pista, ma ci sono voluti solo cinque giri prima di essere colpito di nuovo con il martello nella prima gara. Il mio obiettivo era iniziare bene e prendere punti decenti. Non è che mi fossi schierato qui per andare 1-1, ma quello che mi è successo questo fine settimana è stata solo una situazione di “momento sbagliato, posto sbagliato”. Un altro pilota ha commesso un errore ed è andato da sinistra a destra con un salto, e il minuto dopo ero a terra. Sono stato fortunato a non farmi male. La moto è stata distrutta da quello, e non è stato divertente correre con una moto piegata davanti al pubblico di casa. Nella seconda gara ho fatto del mio meglio, ma dopo l’impatto della caduta nella prima gara mi sentivo dolorante e completamente svuotato. È frustrante. Ma ora spero solo di riprendermi bene e il più in fretta possibile. Non vedo l’ora di tornare al gate in Trentino tra pochi giorni”.

“È stato un weekend terribile per me. Sono caduto in partenza nella seconda gara. Il mio salto è stato buono, ma mi sono aggrovigliato con altri corridori e sono caduto. Sono dovuto partire da ultimo, e senza la leva del freno anteriore perché si è rotta. Guidare su una pista come questa senza il freno anteriore è quasi impossibile. Ho comunque preso 1 punto, che è meglio di niente, ma dobbiamo guardare agli aspetti positivi quando il fine settimana è stato così deludente per me”.

Renaux Triumphs at Swiss Grand Prix Amidst Challenges for Seewer and Coldenhoff
Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP’s Maxime Renaux celebrated an exhilarating victory at the third round of the FIM Motocross World Championship in Frauenfeld, Switzerland. Displaying exceptional skill around the rough, rutty and hugely technical Schollenholz circuit, the Frenchman secured a 2-1 finish for the overall win. At the same time, teammates Jeremy Seewer and Glenn Coldenhoff faced hurdles throughout the weekend. Seewer made a strong comeback with a fifth place finish in the final race for 11th overall, while Coldenhoff managed eighth in Race One, resulting in 15th overall.
The FIM Motocross World Championship returned to Frauenfeld, Switzerland, for the first time since 2018, and to the welcome sight of thousands of loud and enthusiastic Swiss fans. After a drizzly Saturday, and a day off on Easter Sunday, the old-school track was impeccably groomed and ready for a thrilling day of Grand Prix action.
Determined to advance in the championship standings, Renaux showed an incredible return to form. After finishing second position in the opening race, the tenacious Frenchman swiftly took the lead on the first official lap of Race Two and charged to a flawless race win – his first of the season.
Seewer and Coldenhoff both faced some significant challenges throughout the weekend. Another rider took out Seewer on the opening lap of Race One, which caused some damage to his YZ450FM, while Coldenhoff was faced with similar troubles after he was caught in a first-turn pile-up in Race Two. Both, however, braved the rough and technical track, Seewer with bent handlebars and a broken clutch lever and Coldenhoff with no front brake lever, to score a single point for 20th position, respectively.
The 13-points Coldenhoff scored in Race One combined with the 1 from Race Two put him in 15th for the Grand Prix. At the same time, Swiss fan-favourite Seewer delighted the home crowd with an impressive battle against Jeffrey Herlings in Race Two, ultimately scoring 16 points for fifth after a minor mid-race error.
Renaux’s stunning triumph narrows the gap to just three points from second place in the championship standings. He is third, while Coldenhoff and Seewer hold seventh and eighth positions.
The next round of the FIM Motocross World Championship will take place in Pietramurata, Italy, in just four days.

“It feels good to finally get on the podium, especially with a win in Race Two. It was great. I didn’t get the best starts today, but I was good around the first corner and fast in the first lap, so this put me in a good position. In Race Two, I just took the lead and never looked back. It felt great. Now we need to try to keep momentum, and to work on the starts to make my life a little bit easier. I am looking forward to the rest of the season.”

“I felt amazing here in Frauenfeld. I had good speed and was feeling good on the track, but it took only five laps until I was hit with the hammer again in the first race. My goal was to start solid and take decent points. It’s not like I lined up here to go 1-1, but what happened to me this weekend, was just a ‘wrong time, wrong place’ situation. Another rider made a mistake and went from left to right on a jump, and the next minute, I was on the floor. I was lucky not to get hurt. The bike was destroyed from that, and it was not fun to race with a bent bike in front of your home crowd. In the second race, I did my best, but after the impact of the crash in the first race, I felt sore and completely drained. It’s frustrating. But now I just hope I recover well, and as quick as possible. I’m already looking forward to being back on the gate in Trentino in few days.”

“It was a terrible weekend for me. I crashed in the start in the second race. My jump was good, but I got tangled up with some other riders and crashed. I had to start from dead last, and with no front brake lever because it broke off. Riding on a track like this without the front brake is almost impossible. I still took 1-point, which is better than none, but we have to look at the positives when the weekend was so disappointing for me.”
