FMI CAMPIONATI INTERNAZIONALI D’ITALIA EICMA SERIES 2023

Jeremy Seewer è il campione della MX1, Thibault Benistant conquista il titolo della MX2 e Elias Escandel è il re della 125.

Report Time – Giornata di sole a Pietramurata per il secondo e ultimo round degli Internazionali d’Italia MX EICMA Series 2023. I 210 piloti iscritti in 125, MX1 e MX2 si sono sfidati al mattino nei turni di prove cronometrate delle diverse categorie per guadagnarsi un posto al cancello delle due manche di gara.

In gara uno della MX1 è Jeremy Seewer (Yamaha) a perdere il comando delle operazioni, scattando davanti a tutti al via. Lo svizzero, forte del second tempo ion prova, alle spalle di Tim Gajser (Honda), ha dettato il ritmo proprio davanti al rivale sloveno che lo ha seguito per tutta la manche, senza però riuscire ad attaccarlo. Alle spalle del duo di testa, Ruben Fernandez (Honda), autore della pole position, ha controllato per tutta la manche, rispondendo agli attacchi di Maxime Renaux (Yamaha), quarto al traguardo. Nono posto per Alberto Forato (KTM) partito ultimo a causa di una caduta che vede coinvolto anche Mattia Guadagnini (GasGas), diciottesimo sotto la bandiera a scacchi. In gara due Seewer brucia tutti al via, inseguito da Ben Watson (Beta), Fernandez, Guadagnini e Forato, con Reanux sesto e Gajser settimo. La gara dello sloveno è durata però solo tre giri, a causa di una brutta caduta che ha costretto la direzione gara ad esporre la bandiera rossa cinque giri dopo per agevolare i soccorsi. Seewer sale sul primo gradino del podio, con Fernandez secondo e autore del Best Lap 24MX e Renaux terzo.

In campionato, Seewer è il campione della MX1, con 97 punti, davanti a Renaux con 79 e Fernandez con 72.

In MX2 hole-shot di Thibault Benistant (Yamaha) che passa primo alla prima curva, seguito da Lucas Coenen (Husqvarna) e Sasha Coenen (KTM). Il francese impone il suo ritmo, conducendo per 17 giri, tagliando il traguardo in solitaria. Secondo e terzo posto per i fratelli Coenen che pretendono la tabella rossa della MX2, Simon Langenfelder (GasGas). Nono e migliore degli italiani, Ferruccio Zanchi (KTM). In gara due è Sasha Coenen a scattare davanti al fratello Lucas, con Benistant ottavo e Andrea Adamo (KTM) sesto. Dopo tre giri Lucas prende la testa passando il fratello, mentre con un forcing tremendo Adamo rimonta fino alla seconda posizione, passando prima Sasha e poi Rick Elzinga (Yamaha), con Benistant, autore del Best Lap 24MX che ha la meglio nel finale su Sasha, conquistando il quarto posto e la vittoria del titolo. Sul podio, Lucas Coenen sale sul primo gradino del podio, con Benistant secondo e Sasha Coenen terzo.

In Campionato Lucas chiude secondo a dieci lunghezze dal francese, con Adamo terzo a sette punti dal belga. 

In 125 il duello tra Elias Escandel (Fantic) e Alfio Pulvirenti (KTM) ha tenuto tutti col fiato sospeso fino all’ultimo giro della seconda manche, quando lo spagnolo, autore del Best Lap 24MX, ha tagliato il traguardo, mettendo al sicuro il vantaggio sul siciliano, diventando campione con sei punti di distacco. In gara uno è Mano Faure (KTM) a scattare davanti a Maximilian Ernecker (GasGas) che prende il comando dopo poche curve, seguito da Julius Mikula (Yamaha) che dopo sei giri prende il comando e fa sua la prima frazione, precedendo sul traguardo Ernecker e Janis Reisulis (Yamaha). In gara due hole-shot di Nicola Salvini (Yamaha) che impone il suo ritmo a Escandel che tenta di attaccarlo per tutta la manche, salvo incappare in un errore a due giri dalla fine che lo costringe ad accontentarsi della seconda piazza alle spalle dell’italiano; terzo posto per Gyan Doensen (KTM). Sul podio Ernecker precede Mikula ed Escandel. Alessandro Gaspari (Husqvarna), quinto di gironata, conquista il terzo posto in campionato.

Report Time – Sunny day in Pietramurata for the second and final round of the Internazionali d’Italia MX EICMA Series 2023. The 210 riders entered in 125, MX1 and MX2 competed in the morning timed practice sessions to earn a place at the gate for the two moto of the day.

INTERNAZIONALI D’ITALIA MX 2023 – PIETRAMURATA Risultati e punti!

In race one of the MX1 it was Jeremy Seewer (Yamaha) who took the lead, starting first. The Swiss, second in practice, behind Tim Gajser (Honda), made the pace in front of the Slovenian who followed him throughout the heat, without however being able to pass. Behind the leaders, Ruben Fernandez (Honda), fastest in practice, controlled throughout the heat, without giving to Maxime Renaux (Yamaha) the chance to pass, ending third. Ninth place for Alberto Forato (KTM) who started last due to a crash which also involved Mattia Guadagnini (GasGas)and who passed eighteenth under the checkered flag. In race two Seewer took the hole-shot, chased by Ben Watson (Beta), Fernandez, Guadagnini and Forato, with Reanux sixth and Gajser seventh. However, the Slovenian’s race lasted only three laps, due to a bad crash that forced the race direction to display  five laps later the red flag, to facilitate rescue. On the podium Seewer gets on the first step of the podium, with Fernandez second and author of the Best Lap 24MX and Renaux third. In the standings, Seewer is the MX1 champion, with 97 points, ahead of Renaux with 79 and Fernandez with 72.

In MX2 hole-shot of Thibault Benistant (Yamaha) who passes first at the first corner, followed by Lucas Coenen (Husqvarna) and Sasha Coenen (KTM). The Frenchman made the pace of the moto, leading for 17 laps, crossing the finish line alone. Second and third place for the Coenen brothers, with the red plate of the MX2, Simon Langenfelder (GasGas) fourth. In race two it was Sasha Coenen who took the hole-shot ahead of his brother Lucas, with Benistant eighth and Andrea Adamo (KTM) sixth. After three laps Lucas took the lead passing his brother, while with a tremendous forcing Adamo recovers to second position, passing first Sasha and then Rick Elzinga (Yamaha), with Benistant, that made the Best Lap 24MX passing Sasha in the final, taking fourth place and winning the title. On the podium, Lucas Coenen takes the first step of the podium, with Benistant second and Sasha Coenen third. In the Championship Lucas finished second, ten points behind the Frenchman, with Adamo third, seven points behind the Belgian.

In 125 the duel between Elias Escandel (Fantic) and Alfio Pulvirenti (KTM) kept everyone in suspense until the last lap of the second heat, when the Spaniard, author of the 24MX Best Lap, crossed the finish line, securing the gap over the Sicilian, becoming champion with six points. In race one it was Mano Faure (KTM) who started ahead of Maximilian Ernecker (GasGas) who took the lead after a few corners, followed by Julius Mikula (Yamaha) who took the lead after six laps, winning the first heat, in front of Ernecker and Janis Reisulis (Yamaha). In the race two hole-shot by Nicola Salvini (Yamaha) who took the lead on Escandel who tries to attack throughout the heat, only to make a small mistake two laps from the end which forces him to settle for second place behind the Italian; third place for Gyan Doensen (KTM). On the podium Ernecker took the first step with Mikula second and Escandel third. Alessandro Gaspari (Husqvarna), fifth of the day, conquers the third place in the championship.
