A CAUSA DI UN INTERVENTO CHIRURGICO AL GINOCCHIO A SEGUITO DI LESIONI SUBITE DURANTE L’ALLENAMENTO

Il pilota Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Malcolm Stewart dovrebbe sottoporsi a un intervento chirurgico al ginocchio a seguito del suo recente incidente in allenamento, confermando che sfortunatamente sarà messo da parte per un periodo prolungato.

Dopo aver conquistato il miglior terzo posto in carriera nella classifica 450SX dello scorso anno, il trentenne è stato eccezionale nei primi due round del campionato AMA Supercross 2023 equipaggiato con la FC 450 Rockstar Edition, guidando più giri ad Anaheim 1 e a San Diego prima di essere ferito.

Sebbene gli incidenti abbiano effettivamente negato a Stewart di ottenere ottimi risultati finali nel Main Event 450SX in entrambi i round, la sua prestazione nelle qualifiche più veloci e l’assalto alla vittoria della Heat Race allo Snapdragon Stadium di San Diego ha segnato una delle sue esibizioni più spettacolari fino ad oggi.

Il programma Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing lo supporterà in ogni modo possibile durante il suo recupero e non vediamo l’ora di riportarlo in pista e tornare alle gare”.

Non è ancora stato stabilito quando Stewart sarà in grado di tornare in azione dopo il suo recupero. Nel frattempo, gli sforzi 450SX di Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing si concentreranno sulla firma 2023 Christian Craig in quella che è la sua prima stagione completa di gare nella classe regina.

DUE TO UNDERGO KNEE SURGERY FOLLOWING INJURY SUSTAINED WHILE PRACTICING

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider Malcolm Stewart is scheduled to undergo knee surgery following his recent practice incident, confirming he will unfortunately be sidelined for an extended duration.
After claiming a career-best third in last year’s 450SX standings, the 30-year-old was exceptional in the opening two rounds of the 2023 AMA Supercross Championship equipped with the FC 450 Rockstar Edition, leading multiple laps at Anaheim 1 and in San Diego prior to being injured.
Although crashes effectively denied Stewart of claiming strong final results in the 450SX Main Event at both rounds, his performance in qualifying quickest and storming to a Heat race win at San Diego’s Snapdragon Stadium marked one of his most spectacular performances to date.

He has worked so hard to be in a position to win races this year and I truly believe he was ready. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing program will support him in every way that we can through his recovery and we can’t wait to get him back on track and back at the races.”
It is yet to be determined when Stewart will be fit to return to action following his recovery. In the meantime, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s 450SX efforts will focus on 2023 signing Christian Craig in what is his first full season of competing in the premier class.
