Hammaker injured
Foothill Ranch, California (25 gennaio 2023) – Il pilota Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Seth Hammaker salterà il round di apertura del Monster Energy AMA Supercross Eastern Regional Championship a Houston, in Texas, il 4 febbraio a causa di un infortunio al polso riportato in un allenamento. Hammaker era in forma per contendersi il campionato regionale orientale 250SX quando un incidente durante una sessione di prove di routine gli ha provocato un infortunio al polso. Hammaker ha consultato professionisti medici ed è stato stabilito che l’infortunio lo costringerà a saltare i round di apertura del Monster Energy Supercross Eastern Regional Championship 2023.
Hammaker, vincitore del premio “Rookie Of The Year” del Monster Energy Supercross 2021, ha conquistato due podi consecutivi all’inizio del Western Regional Championship 2022 e si è assicurato otto piazzamenti tra i primi 10 nella stagione AMA Pro Motocross. Il pilota Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki ha portato quello slancio in quella che era stata una proficua bassa stagione di preparazione prima di questa battuta d’arresto che lo ritarderà dal suo obiettivo di lottare ancora una volta per le vittorie in gara.
“Ovviamente è frustrante avere un infortunio subito prima dell’inizio della stagione”, ha detto Hammaker. “Il mio allenamento stava andando molto bene di recente e sento che la mia velocità e la mia forma fisica erano al livello necessario per correre per la vittoria. Questo infortunio mi riporterà un po’ indietro, ma il mio obiettivo principale è riparare l’infortunio e tornare in pista per competere ai massimi livelli”.

Foothill Ranch, Calif. (January 25, 2023) – Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Seth Hammaker will miss the opening round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Eastern Regional Championship in Houston, Texas on February 4th following a wrist injury sustained in a crash while practicing. Hammaker was on form to contend for the 250SX Eastern Regional Championship when a crash during a routine practice session resulted in an injury to his wrist. Hammaker consulted medical professionals and it was determined that the injury will force him to miss the opening rounds of the 2023 Monster Energy Supercross Eastern Regional Championship.
Hammaker, the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross ‘Rookie Of The Year’ award winner, claimed two consecutive podium finishes at the start of the 2022 Western Regional Championship and secured eight top-10 overall finishes in the AMA Pro Motocross season. The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider carried that momentum into what had been a productive off-season of preparation prior to this set back which will delay him from his goal to once again challenge for race wins.
“It’s of course frustrating to have an injury right before the start of the season,” said Hammaker. “My training has been going really well recently and I feel that my speed and fitness are up to the level needed to race for wins. This injury will set me back a bit, but my full focus is on mending the injury and getting back out there on the track to compete at the highest level.”
