ZMAX DRAGWAY E CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY PER OSPITERANNO I PLAYOFF DEL SUPERMOTOCROSS
ANAHEIM, California (6 gennaio 2023) – Durante un evento stampa per il round di apertura del Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship e, successivamente, del SuperMotocross World Championship, la SuperMotocross League ha annunciato che zMAX Dragway e Chicagoland Speedway ospiteranno il primo SuperMotocross World Championship Playoff Rounds a settembre dopo la conclusione del Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship e del Pro Motocross Championship.
Il SuperMotocross World Championship Playoff 1 si svolgerà sabato 9 settembre allo zMAX Dragway di Concord, N.C. e il Playoff 2 si svolgerà sabato 23 settembre al Chicagoland Speedway di Joliet, Illinois. Come annunciato in precedenza, la finale del SuperMotocross World Championship si svolgerà luogo sabato 14 ottobre a Los Angeles presso il Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Il Chicagoland Speedway si trova appena fuori Chicago, Illinois, a Joliet e sarà facilmente accessibile per i fan che viaggiano in auto o in aereo grazie alla sua posizione centrale e ai numerosi aeroporti. Il meglio di entrambi i mondi, il SuperMotocross World Championship vanterà il primo nel suo genere a progettare piste che utilizzeranno una combinazione unica di ostacoli Supercross e Motocross. Ogni layout di pista sarà unico a sé stante, ma includerà cinque elementi fondamentali, ma essenziali di entrambe le discipline: big air, lunghe sezioni ritmiche, rulli, rettilinei veloci ed elevazione.
Le gare di playoff e la finale del campionato mondiale SuperMotocross si svolgeranno in un formato a due manche sia per la classe 450cc che per la classe 250cc. Ogni manche durerà 20 minuti, più un giro, in cui il punteggio olimpico determinerà una posizione finale complessiva per la quale verranno assegnati i punti del campionato SuperMotocross.
La serie SuperMotocross World Championship vanterà la più grande vincita dello sport di $ 10 milioni nel corso dell’intera stagione di 31 eventi. Il premio in denaro viene aggiunto ai campionati Supercross e Pro Motocross, lasciando $ 5,5 milioni in palio per i playoff e la finale. Un milione di dollari garantito andrà al campione della 450cc e 500.000 dollari al campione della 250cc.

ZMAX DRAGWAY AND CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY TO HOST SUPERMOTOCROSS PLAYOFF ROUNDS
ANAHEIM, Calif. (January 6, 2023) – During a press event for the opening round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship and subsequently, the SuperMotocross World Championship, the SuperMotocross League announced that zMAX Dragway and Chicagoland Speedway will host the first-ever SuperMotocross World Championship Playoff Rounds in September after the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship and Pro Motocross Championship both conclude.
SuperMotocross World Championship Playoff 1 will take place on Saturday, September 9 at zMAX Dragway in Concord, N.C. and Playoff 2 will take place on Saturday, September 23 at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill. As previously announced, the SuperMotocross World Championship Final will take place on Saturday, October 14, in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The best of both worlds, the SuperMotocross World Championship is going to boast first of its kind track designs that will utilize a unique combination of both Supercross and Motocross obstacles. Each track layout will be unique unto itself but include five fundamental, yet essential elements of both disciplines – big air, long rhythm sections, rollers, fast straightaways, and elevation.
The SuperMotocross World Championship playoff races and final will operate under a two-moto format for both the 450cc class and 250cc class. Each moto will be 20 minutes, plus one lap, in which Olympic Scoring will determine an overall finishing position for which SuperMotocross Championship points will be awarded.
The SuperMotocross World Championship series will boast the sport’s largest payout of $10 million over the course of the full 31-event season. Prize money is being added to both the Supercross and Pro Motocross Championships, leaving $5.5 million up for grabs for the playoffs and final. A guaranteed $1 million will go to the 450cc champion and $500,000 to the 250cc champion.
All 17 rounds of the 2023 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship and 11 rounds of the Pro Motocross Championship are on sale.
