France and Spain Victorious at the 2022 Motocross of European Nations and Women’s Motocross of European Nations!
TALAVERA DE LA REINA (Spagna) 9 ottobre 2022 – Il Motocross delle Nazioni Europee 2022 si è concluso a Talavera de la Reina quando il Team France e il Team Spain sono stati incoronati campioni di quest’anno nelle categorie MXoEN e WMXoEN !
La mattinata della gara è iniziata con una cerimonia di apertura con discorsi tenuti da José Ramón Garcia Vice Presidente di FIM Europe, Jesús Bermúdez Presidente del Motoclub Talavera e Patricia Maskarova Direttore Generale MXoEN di Patricia Maskarova Infront Moto Racing, che hanno anche consegnato una targa speciale al Sig. Jesús Bermúdez come ringraziamento per aver organizzato un evento così fantastico.
Al termine della cerimonia di apertura, è stato suonato l’inno nazionale spagnolo prima che tutti si concentrassero sulle corse.
Ogni gruppo ha corso un totale di due gare, combattendo per le posizioni più alte, al fine di prendere il minor numero di punti, senza contare il peggior risultato. Il totale generale è stato sommato e la squadra con il minor numero di punti è stata dichiarata vincitrice!
Nella prima gara EMX125/EMX250 l’holeshot è andato a Valerio Lata del Team Italy che è stato il pilota di testa per i primi tre giri della gara. Jan Pancar del Team Slovenia ha guidato brevemente prima di essere respinto quando Quentin-Marc Prugnieres del Team France ha preso il primo posto mentre Gerard Congost del Team Spain è passato al secondo.
Lata è sceso al quarto posto e poi alla fine non ha concluso la gara a causa di un problema alla moto, mentre Prugnieres ha continuato a vincere davanti a Pancar che ha lottato fino al secondo, mentre Congost e Anton Nordström Graaf del Team Sweden hanno completato i primi cinque.
In gara due è stato Congost a prendere l’holeshot davanti a Lata e Pancar, mentre Prugnieres è partito quarto.
Congost ha condotto per sei giri prima di essere superato da Pancar, e poi quattro giri dopo, lo spagnolo è stato superato anche da Prugnieres, poiché Lata è sceso al quinto posto dove alla fine è finito.
Pancar ha vinto la gara davanti a Prugnieres, Congost e Nordström Graaf mentre Lata ha completato i primi cinque del girone.

In gara uno EMX85, l’holeshot è andato ad Amaury Maindru del Team France con Filippo Mantovani del Team Italy che lo ha seguito da vicino al secondo posto. Mano Faure del Team France è partito terzo, con Nicolò Alvisi del Team Italy al quarto posto appena dietro.
Un giro dopo, Alvisi ha superato Faure per passare al terzo posto, mentre Mantovani è riuscito a prendere il comando su Maindru, ma solo per un giro, quando il francese si è riportato in testa al quinto giro e si è mantenuto primo fino alla fine della gara.
Al settimo giro Alvisi è riuscito a scavalcare Mantovani per il secondo posto, ma solo tre giri dopo è stato superato dal connazionale. Alla fine, Maindru ha vinto davanti a Mantovani, Alvisi, Faure e Juan Izaguirre del Tram Spagna.
In gara due l’holeshot è andato a Faure, mentre Mantovani e Maindru hanno spinto da dietro il francese. I primi tre hanno aperto un bel divario rispetto al resto del gruppo, mentre si concentravano sulla battaglia tra loro.
Al quinto giro, abbiamo visto un cambiamento per il comando poiché Mantovani è stato in grado di prendere il controllo della gara, ma il trio ha continuato a lottare per gran parte della gara.
A due giri dalla fine, Mantovani sembrava avere un buon controllo, anche se Maindru desiderava spingere per la vittoria dal terzo all’ultimo giro, anche se non ha avuto successo. Alla fine Mantovani ha vinto davanti a Faure e Maindru, mentre Viktor Leppälä del Team Finland ed Enzo Badenas del Team Spain sono stati tra i primi cinque.

In gara uno WMXoEN, sono state Gabriela Seisdedos e Daniela Guillen del Team Spain a partire alla grande, con Seisdedos che ha preso l’holeshot. Lynn Valk del Team Netherland era incastonata tra le due, prima che Guillen trovasse l’opportunità di scavalcare entrambi e prendere il comando entro il secondo giro.
Dopo essere partita da centrocampo, Sara Andersen del Team Denmark ha scalato la classifica e al sesto giro era terza dietro a Valk. Ma Guillen aveva il controllo con circa 12.521 secondi di vantaggio su Valk che è rimasta seconda.
Alla fine, Guillen ha vinto la gara davanti a Valk, Andersen, Jamie Astudillo del Team USA e Malou Jakobsen del Team Denmark.
Nella seconda gara, è stata Andersen a prendere l’holeshot quella volta con Valk, Guillen e Seisdedos appena dietro. Nei primi due giri, i primi tre si sono allontanati dal resto del gruppo, quando Guillen ha superato Valk al terzo giro.
Al sesto giro, Andersen ha iniziato a svanire, il che ha funzionato a vantaggio di Guillen e solo tre giri dopo la spagnola è riuscita a passare per il comando. Guillen ha vinto la seconda gara, ottenendo un perfetto punteggio di 1-1 per il Team Spain, mentre Andersen ha tagliato il traguardo al secondo posto, portando il Team Denmark sul terzo gradino del podio, mentre il terzo è stato Valk per l’Olanda come seconda assoluta sul podio e questa volta non sono riusciti a difendere il loro titolo.
Daniela Guillen e Gabriela Seisdedos del Team Spain hanno festeggiato alla grande con la loro squadra e i fan locali mentre hanno tagliato il traguardo come campioni del Motocross femminile delle nazioni europee 2022!

France and Spain Victorious at the 2022 Motocross of European Nations and Women’s Motocross of European Nations!
TALAVERA DE LA REINA (Spain) 9 October 2022 – The 2022 Motocross of European Nations has concluded in Talavera de la Reina as Team France and Team Spain were crowned this year’s champions in the MXoEN and WMXoEN categories!
The morning of the race began with an opening ceremony with speeches given by José Ramón Garcia Vice President of FIM Europe, Jesús Bermúdez President of Motoclub Talavera and Patricia Maskarova Infront Moto Racing’s MXoEN general manager who also handed a special plaque to Mr Jesús Bermúdez as thanks for organising such a fantastic event.
At the end of the opening ceremony, the national anthem of Spain was played before everyone shifted their focus onto the racing.
Each group rode a total of two races, as they fought for the highest positions, in order to take the least amount of points, with the worst result not being counted. The grand total was added up and the team with the least number of points were declared the winner!
In the first EMX125/EMX250 race the holeshot went to Team Italy’s Valerio Lata who was the leading rider for the first three laps of the race. Team Slovenia’s Jan Pancar briefly led before being pushed back as Team France’s Quentin-Marc Prugnieres took over first place as Team Spain’s Gerard Congost moved into second.
Lata dropped back to fourth and then eventually did not finish the race due to a bike problem, while Prugnieres went on to win ahead of Pancar who fought back to second, while Congost and Anton Nordström Graaf of Team Sweden rounded out the top five.
In race two, it was Congost who took the holeshot ahead of Lata and Pancar, while Prugnieres started in fourth.
Congost led for six laps before being passed by Pancar, and then four laps later, the Spaniard was also passed by Prugnieres, as Lata dropped down the order to fifth where he eventually finished.
Pancar won the race ahead of Prugnieres, Congost and Nordström Graaf while Lata rounded out the top five in the group.

In EMX85 race one, the holeshot went to Team France’s Amaury Maindru with Team Italy’s Filippo Mantovani following closely behind in second. Team France’s Mano Faure started third, with Team Italy’s Nicolo Alvisi in fourth just behind.
A lap later, Alvisi passed Faure to move into third all while Mantovani was able to take over the lead from Maindru, but only for a lap, as the Frenchman got himself back into the lead by the fifth lap and maintained first until the end of the race.
By lap seven, Alvisi managed to get around Mantovani for second, but just three laps later was passed back by his fellow countryman. In the end, Maindru was the winner ahead of Mantovani, Alvisi, Faure and Juan Izaguirre of Tram Spain.
In race two, the holeshot went to Faure, as Mantovani and Maindru pushed the Frenchman from behind. The top three opened up a nice gap to the rest of the field, as they focused on the battle among each other.
By lap five, we saw a change for the lead as Mantovani was able to take control of the race, but the trio continued to battle for much of the race.
With two laps to go, Mantovani looked well in control, though Maindru was keen to push for the win from third on the final lap, though was not successful. In the end, Mantovani was the winner ahead of Faure and Maindru, while Viktor Leppälä of Team Finland and Enzo Badenas of Team Spain were in the top five.

In WMXoEN race one, it was Team Spain’s Gabriela Seisdedos and Daniela Guillen who got off to a strong start, with Seisdedos taking the holeshot. Team Netherland’s Lynn Valk was nestled in between the pair, before Guillen found her opportunity to get by both and take over the lead by the second lap.
After starting in the mid-field, Team Denmark’s Sara Andersen worked her way up the order and on lap six was in third behind Valk. But Guillen was in control around 12.521 seconds ahead of Valk who remained second.
In the end, Guillen took the race win ahead of Valk, Andersen, Team USA’s Jamie Astudillo and Malou Jakobsen of Team Denmark.
In the second race, it was Andersen who took the holeshot that time around with Valk, Guillen and Seisdedos just behind. Within the first two laps, the top three pulled away from the rest of the field, as Guillen passed Valk on lap three.
By lap six, Andersen began to fade which worked to Guillen’s advantage and just three laps later the Spaniard was able to pass for the lead. Guillen won the second race, taking a perfect 1-1 score for Team Spain, while Andersen crossed the line in second, putting Team Denmark on the third step of the podium, while third was Valk for Netherlands as the finished second overall on the podium and failed to defend their title this time.
Team Spain’s Daniela Guillen and Gabriela Seisdedos celebrated big with their team and local fans as they crossed the line as the 2022 Women’s Motocross of European Nations Champions!
