TALAVERA DE LA REINA (Spagna) 8 ottobre 2022 – La prima giornata di gare si è conclusa con le sessioni di qualificazione a Talavera de la Reina, in Spagna, per l’edizione 2022 del Motocross delle Nazioni Europee.

Le manche di qualificazione sono state cruciali per i team che miravano a garantire la migliore posizione possibile sulla griglia per le gare di domani, dove verranno conteggiati i punti e verrà determinato un vincitore nelle classi MXoEN e WMXoEN.

Nelle qualifiche EMX125/EMX250 , Valerio Lata del Team Italy ha preso l’holeshot mentre Jan Pancar del Team Slovenia ha spinto il leader. Pancar ha esercitato la pressione ed è rimasto vicino, così come Quentin-Marc Prugnieres del Team France e Gerard Congost del Team Spain.

Al quarto giro, Pancar ha commesso un errore ed è sceso al quarto posto che ha permesso a Prugnieres di passare al secondo posto, con il francese che ha poi ripreso e superato anche Lata. I primi quattro piloti sono rimasti vicini ma è stato Prugnieres a vincere la manche di qualificazione davanti a Pancar che è riuscito a trovare l’opportunità di superare Lata, con Congost al quarto posto e Anton Nordström Graaf del Team Sweden a completare i primi cinque.

Nella manche di qualificazione EMX85 , Filippo Mantovani e Nicolò Alvisi del Team Italia sono partiti alla grande. I due si sono dati battaglia per gran parte della gara, con Mantovani che ha conquistato la vittoria e ha concluso con 3.379 secondi di vantaggio sul suo connazionale. Al terzo posto si è piazzato Amaury Maindru del Team France, seguito da Mano Faure anche lui del Team France, mentre quinto è stato Casper Lindmark del Team Sweden.

Nella manche di qualificazione WMXoEN , è stata Lynn Valk del Team Netherlands a partire bene con Sara Andersen del Team Denmark proprio dietro di lei. L’eroina locale, Daniela Guillen del Team Spain , inizia intorno al quinto posto e stava spingendo al massimo per avvicinarsi ai leader.

Al terzo giro, Guillen è riuscita a raggiungere il secondo posto dopo aver superato Andersen e poi si è concentrata su Valk proprio davanti a lei. A metà gara, Guillen è riuscita a entrare per prima, ed è qui che ha concluso la gara. Valk è arrivato secondo, Anderson terzo, Jordan Jarvis del Team USA e Martine Hughes del Team Norway hanno completato i primi cinque del girone.

TALAVERA DE LA REINA (Spain) 8 October 2022 – The first day of racing has concluded with the qualifying sessions in Talavera de la Reina, Spain for the 2022 edition of the Motocross of European Nations.

The qualifying heats were crucial for the teams aiming to secure the best possible position on the grid for tomorrow’s races, where points will be counted, and a winner will be determined in the MXoEN and WMXoEN classes.

In the EMX125/EMX250 qualifying, Team Italy’s Valerio Lata took the holeshot as Team Slovenia’s Jan Pancar pushed the leader. Pancar applied the pressure and remained close as did Team France’s Quentin-Marc Prugnieres and Team Spain’s Gerard Congost.

On lap four, Pancar made a mistake and dropped back to fourth which allowed Prugnieres through into second, with the Frenchman then catching and passing Lata too. The top four riders remained close but it was Prugnieres who won the qualifying heat ahead of Pancar who managed to find an opportunity to pass Lata, with Congost finishing fourth and Anton Nordström Graaf of Team Sweden rounding out the top five.

In the EMX85 qualifying heat, Team Italy’s Filippo Mantovani and Nicolo Alvisi started strong. The duo battled each other for much of the race, with Mantovani taking the victory and finishing 3.379 seconds ahead of his fellow countryman. Placing third was Amaury Maindru of Team France, followed by Mano Faure also of Team France, while fifth was Casper Lindmark from Team Sweden.

The WMXoEN qualifying heat, it was Team Netherlands’ Lynn Valk who took a good start with Team Denmark’s Sara Andersen just behind her. Local hero, Daniela Guillen of Team Spain start in around fifth and was pushing hard to get close to the leaders.

By the third lap, Guillen managed to find her way into second after passing Andersen and then focused on Valk just in front of her. At the halfway stage of the race, Guillen was able to get herself into first, which is where she finished the race. Valk was second, Anderson third, Jordan Jarvis of Team USA and Martine Hughes of Team Norway rounded out the top five in the group.
