REDBUD (Stati Uniti) 23 settembre 2022 – La seconda metà della giornata dei media al Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations di RedBud, si è conclusa con una speciale conferenza stampa che ha annunciato un’aggiunta speciale al Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross, seguita dalla conferenza stampa dei team e la presentazione delle squadre a un’enorme folla di tifosi americani solidali.

Le attività pomeridiane sono iniziate con la presentazione di Triumph Motorcycles, che ha annunciato che dal 2024 entrerà nel Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross nelle categorie MX2 e MXGP con il nuovo Triumph Racing Team in partnership con Thierry Chizat-Suzzoni, uno dei più esperti di questo sport e proprietari di team di successo, che schiereranno due delle nuovissime moto MX 250 cc a 4 tempi di Triumph nella classe MX2 2024 e aggiungeranno un ingresso nella classe MXGP 450 cc nel 2025.

Successivamente, si è svolta un’altra conferenza stampa per presentare le migliori nazioni all’evento di quest’anno. Ciò includeva il Team Italia, Paesi Bassi, Gran Bretagna, Francia, Stati Uniti, Belgio, Svizzera, Australia e Spagna , nonché i team FIM Europe e FIM Latin America di nuova introduzione. Ogni squadra ha condiviso le proprie aspettative e speranze per la 75^a edizione della più grande gara fuoristrada della stagione.

Il Defending Champions Team Italy con Antonio Cairoli, Andrea Adamo e Mattia Guadagnini correranno con le tabelle #1, #2 e #3 questo fine settimana, mentre cercheranno di tenere il Chamberlain Trophy per la seconda volta consecutiva.

Antonio Cairoli: “ Volevo davvero correre con la tabella numero 1 e siamo anche in America quest’anno che è ancora più speciale. Cercheremo di fare del nostro meglio e il podio è sicuramente l’obiettivo per noi!”.

Glenn Coldenhoff del Team Netherland ha ricordato il suo successo all’evento nel 2018 e ha condiviso la sua motivazione per quest’anno con il Team Netherlands dicendo: “Mi sento bene ad entrare in questo fine settimana. Ho fatto un po’ di allenamento la scorsa settimana in Florida e mi sento davvero forte. Ovviamente sono motivato, soprattutto l’ultima volta che sono stato qui ho dei bei ricordi, quindi sto cercando di fare bene qui”.

Nel frattempo, gli eroi di casa del Team USA , che sono i grandi favoriti per vincere qui in casa, hanno molte motivazioni e potrebbe essere l’anno in cui la nazione rivendica la sua 23^a vittoria.

Il Team Manager Roger De Coster: “ Mi sento davvero bene con le nazioni quest’anno. Questi tre ragazzi sono davvero felici di essere qui per rappresentare gli USA”.

Il capitano della squadra, Eli Tomac: “Abbiamo un round di redenzione se vuoi chiamarlo così. Il 2018 non è stato affatto buono, ma siamo qui e abbiamo molta fiducia nel nostro team!”

Il Team Australia ha tutti gli occhi puntati su di loro poiché Mitch Evans , Hunter Lawrence e Jett Lawrence hanno una vera possibilità di regalare alla loro nazione il loro primo trofeo Chamberlain.

Mitch Evans: “ Siamo tutti sulla scena mondiale da qualche anno, quindi sappiamo come funziona ora e tutti e tre abbiamo avuto un’ottima annata e sicuramente siamo in una buona posizione per lottare per il podio e se no, la vittoria”.

Hunter Lawrence: ” Sarebbe fantastico [salire sul podio o vincere] ed è qualcosa che sogni sempre, soprattutto per il tuo paese, è ancora più speciale. Credo che abbiamo una squadra fantastica e siamo molto capaci di ottenere il podio. Sarebbe bello coronare il miglior risultato dell’Australia”.

Poi è arrivato il momento di presentare le squadre di quest’anno delle 34 nazioni che prenderanno parte alla battaglia per il Trofeo Chamberlain questo fine settimana. Ogni paese ha mostrato i tre piloti che li rappresenteranno al 75^° Monster Energy FIM Motocross delle Nazioni mentre hanno fatto un giro sulla linea di partenza davanti a una folla entusiasta di fan americani.

La presentazione della squadra è iniziata con la 34a squadra che era la FIM Europe e si è conclusa con i campioni in carica del Team Italia , seguiti dalla squadra ospitante, gli Stati Uniti, che sono stati sollecitati dai loro tifosi di casa che sperano di vedere il trio tornare sul gradino più alto!

REDBUD (United States) 23 September 2022 – The second half of the media day at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in RedBud, concluded with a special press conference which announced a special addition to the FIM Motocross World Championship followed by the Teams Press Conference and the Teams Presentation to a huge crowd of supportive American fans.

The afternoon activities began with the presentation of top nations at this year’s event. This included Team Italy, Netherlands, Great Britain, France, USA, Belgium, Switzerland, Australia and Spain, as well as the newly introduced FIM Latin America team. Each squad hared their expectations and hopes for the 75^th edition of the biggest off-road race of the season.

Defending Champions Team Italy with Antonio Cairoli, Andrea Adamo and Mattia Guadagnini will run the #1, #2 and #3 plates this weekend, as they will look to keep hold of the Chamberlain Trophy for the second consecutive time.

Antonio Cairoli: “I really wanted to race with the #1 plate and we are also in America this year which is even more special. We will try to do our best and the podium is definitely the goal for us!

Team Netherland’s Glenn Coldenhoff reminisced on his success at the event in 2018 and shared his motivation for this year with Team Netherlands saying “I’m feeling good coming into this weekend. I did some training last week in Florida and I am feeling really strong. Obviously, I am motivated, especially last time I was here I have some good memories, so I’m looking to do well here”.

Meanwhile the home heroes Team USA, who are the big favourites to win here on home soil have a lot of motivation and it could be the year that the nation claims their 23^rd victory.

Team Manager Roger De Coster: “I feel really feel good about the nations this year. These three guys are really happy to be here to represent the USA”.

Team Captain, Eli Tomac: “We have a redemption round, if you want to call it that. 2018 wasn’t good at all, but we’re here and we’ve got a lot of confidence in our team!”

Team Australia have all eyes on them as Mitch Evans, Hunter Lawrence and Jett Lawrence have a real shot at gifting their nation their very first Chamberlain Trophy.

Mitch Evans: “We’ve all been on the world stage for a few years now, so we know how it works now, all three of us have had a really good year and certainly we are in a good position to fight for the podium and if not, the win”.

Hunter Lawrence: “It would be awesome [to be on the podium or win] and it’s something you always dream of, especially for your country, it’s even more special. I believe we have an amazing team and we’re very capable of getting on the podium. Would be cool to top off Australia’s best result”.

 

   

Then it was time to introduce this year’s teams from the 34 nations that will take part in the battle for the Chamberlain Trophy this weekend. Each country showcased the three riders who will represent them at the 75^th Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations as they took a tour on the start line in front of an enthusiastic crowd of American fans in the RAM 1500 Rebel, 1500 Limited and 2500 Power Wagon trucks.  

The Team Presentation started with the 34^th team and wrapped up with the defending champions Team Italy followed by the hosting team, USA, who were urged on by their passionate home supporters who are hoping to see the trio back on the top step!
