ANDREA ADAMO E LIAM EVERS GUIDANO LA RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING MX2 GRAND PRIX EFFORT NEL 2023

La Red Bull KTM Factory Racing ha concordato accordi con le prossime stelle Andrea Adamo e Liam Everts per il Campionato mondiale di motocross FIM MX2 2023. L’italiano e il belga correranno con la KTM 250 SX-F per la squadra pluripremiata.

Adamo, ex Campione d’Europa, è attualmente alla sua seconda stagione a livello di Gran Premio e nella classe MX2. Ha concluso il suo mandato di debutto nel 2021 con il 14° posto e ha rapidamente accelerato il suo sviluppo per conquistare un primo podio quest’anno a Mantova per il Gran Premio di Lombardia. Il 18enne è stato sul radar della KTM per un po’ di tempo e la sua etica del lavoro, il suo atteggiamento e la sua chiara progressione hanno aiutato la direzione della Red Bull KTM Factory Racing a prendere la decisione di metterlo sulla KTM 250 SX-F per il 2023.

Anche Everts, che presto avrà 18 anni, sta scoprendo tutte le esigenze del livello Grand Prix, ma ha la fortuna di essere guidato da due generazioni di ex campioni del mondo nella sua famiglia. Everts ha lasciato il segno nelle competizioni del Campionato Europeo EMX125 ed EMX250 prima di entrare a tempo pieno in MX2 nel 2022 con l’allestimento DIGA Pro Motocross KTM; la quarta campagna di un piano quinquennale KTM. Ha impressionato con i primi dieci risultati e ha affinato la velocità per entrare tra i primi cinque in diverse occasioni.

Adamo ed Everts collaboreranno a stretto contatto con il resto della squadra ufficiale e si spera che seguiranno la stessa eccellente traiettoria di carriera di cui godono artisti del calibro di Jeffrey Herlings, Jordi Tixier, Pauls Jonass, Jorge Prado e Tom Vialle filtrando nella formazione MX2. Andrea e Liam avranno Herlings come compagno di squadra MXGP nel 2023. Adamo segue altri italiani di successo con i colori Red Bull KTM come Thomas Traversini, David Philippaerts, Tony Cairoli e Mattia Guadagnini mentre Everts sarà il primo belga nella squadra ufficiale dai tempi di Ken De Dycker quasi dieci anni fa.

Andrea Adamo: “Questa è davvero una bella notizia e come un sogno che si avvera per me. È una delle migliori squadre di corse al mondo, quindi sono entusiasta e orgoglioso di avere questa opportunità. Mi entusiasma già per il 2023. Tony Cairoli ha ovviamente una grande influenza ed è fantastico che io possa dare all’Italia un altro pilota ufficiale in Gran Premio. Liam Everts: “Il prossimo anno sarà una nuova e grande sfida! È un mio sogno che ora si sta avverando e un’opportunità così interessante con far parte della Red Bull KTM. Lavoreremo sodo insieme e spingeremo per il risultato finale. Non vedo l’ora”.

Robert Jonas, Head of Motorsports Offroad: “Andrea ha ottenuto buoni risultati per tutta la scorsa stagione e con un chiaro segno di miglioramento quasi gara dopo gara. Durante l’inverno ha fatto un altro buon passo e finalmente è arrivato 2° al GP di Mantova. Ha solo 18 anni ma sa esattamente cosa vuole e una volta fissato per un obiettivo non si tirerà indietro finché non avrà raggiunto il suo obiettivo. Possiamo dire lo stesso di Liam, che da alcuni anni fa parte della strategia di gara KTM e ci ha dimostrato di essere in grado di salire la scala e affrontare ogni nuovo passo con maturità e non manca del talento degli Everts. Riteniamo che entrambi i piloti rappresentino una buona combinazione per il futuro e un nuovo importante episodio nel nostro programma KTM MX2. Crediamo fermamente che con il sostegno di KTM, Joel dalla loro parte e Jeffrey Herlings come compagno di squadra, Andrea e Liam potranno lottare per la corona della MX2 entro uno o due anni”.

ANDREA ADAMO AND LIAM EVERTS TO LEAD RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING MX2 GRAND PRIX EFFORT IN 2023

 
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing have agreed deals with upcoming stars Andrea Adamo and Liam Everts for the 2023 MX2 FIM Motocross World Championship. The Italian and Belgian will race the KTM 250 SX-F for the multi-title winning team.

Adamo, a former European Champion, is currently in his second season at Grand Prix level and the MX2 class. He ended his debut term in 2021 with 14th place and has quickly accelerated his development to capture a maiden podium result this year at Mantova for the Grand Prix of Lombardia. The 18-year-old has been on the KTM radar for some time and his work ethic, attitude and clear progression has helped Red Bull KTM Factory Racing management take the decision to put him on the KTM 250 SX-F for 2023.

 
Everts, soon to be 18, is also discovering the full demands of Grand Prix level but has the fortune to be guided by two generations of former world champions in his family. Everts made his mark in EMX125 and EMX250 European Championship competition before stepping full-time in MX2 in 2022 with the DIGA Pro Motocross KTM set-up; the fourth campaign of a five-year KTM plan. He has impressed with top ten results and honed the speed to enter the top five on several occasions.
 
Adamo and Everts will collaborate closely with the rest of the works crew and will hopefully follow the same excellent career trajectory enjoyed by the likes of Jeffrey Herlings, Jordi Tixier, Pauls Jonass, Jorge Prado and Tom Vialle by filtering into the MX2 line-up. Andrea and Liam will have Herlings as an MXGP teammate in 2023. Adamo follows other successful Italians in Red Bull KTM colors such as Thomas Traversini, David Philippaerts, Tony Cairoli and Mattia Guadagnini while Everts will be the first Belgian in the factory squad since Ken De Dycker almost ten years ago.

Liam Everts: “Next year will be a new challenge and a big one! It’s a dream of mine that is now coming true and such a cool opportunity with be part of Red Bull KTM. We’ll work hard together and push for the ultimate result. I’m already looking forward to it.”
 
Robert Jonas, Head of Motorsports Offroad: “Andrea was making good results throughout last season and with a clear sign of improvement almost race after race. Over the winter he has made another good step and finally finished 2nd at the GP in Mantova. He is only 18 years old but knows exactly what he wants and once he is set for a target he won’t back off until he’s reached his target. We can say very much the same about Liam, who has been part of the KTM racing strategy for a few years now and has shown us that he is able to rise up the ladder and meet each new step with maturity and no shortage of that Everts talent. We feel both riders make a good combination for the future and an important new episode in our KTM MX2 program. We strongly believe that with KTM’s backing, Joel on their side and Jeffrey Herlings as their teammate, Andrea and Liam will be able to fight for the MX2 crown within one or two years.”
