KAY DE WOLF PUNTA AL RITORNO DEL GP PORTOGHESE, ROAN VAN DE MOOSDIJK INTERVENTO CHIRURGICO
Dopo un inizio così superbo del Campionato mondiale di motocross FIM 2022, Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing ha subito una battuta d’arresto all’ultima tappa in Argentina. Kay de Wolf stava facendo un brillante terzo posto nella classifica del campionato quando è caduto nella prima gara e il suo compagno di squadra, Roan van de Moosdijk, aveva mostrato un potenziale simile a bordo del suo destriero.
Con il Gran Premio del Portogallo, il quarto round all’orizzonte, Kay de Wolf non vede l’ora di riprendere da dove aveva interrotto e rimettere la sua FC 250 tra i primi cinque. Ripulito da eventuali ossa rotte la scorsa settimana, de Wolf si è rilassato guidando la sua mountain bike durante il fine settimana e tornerà in sella mercoledì. L’obiettivo è che sia sulla linea di partenza dell’evento portoghese di questo fine settimana.
Roan van de Moosdijk non è stato altrettanto fortunato: la spalla che si è infortunato alla seconda tappa del Campionato del mondo di motocross FIM 2022 è stata peggiorata nell’incidente in Argentina e ha richiesto un intervento chirurgico. Un’operazione riuscita è stata eseguita alla fine della scorsa settimana. Sfortunatamente, sta anche recuperando da una clavicola fratturata e il polso sinistro fratturato che non avrà bisogno di un intervento chirurgico.
Husqvarna Factory Racing augura a Roan ogni bene per il suo recupero e spera di vedere Kay tornare in pista il prima possibile.
Rasmus Jorgensen (Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing Team Manager): “Lo specialista ha avuto buone e cattive notizie per noi una volta tornati a casa. La buona notizia è che Kay non ha le ossa rotte, ma ha comunque preso un colpo alla testa e sta andando con calma. Vedremo come se la caverà quando proverà a guidare alla fine di questa settimana. Roan ha avuto un po’ di sfortuna con un polso fratturato e una clavicola rotta, poi l’infortunio alla spalla di Mantova è peggiorato e ha richiesto un intervento chirurgico. La notizia positiva è che l’operazione è stata un successo. Non vediamo l’ora di riportarlo al cento per cento, ma ci vorrà tempo e pazienza”.

KAY DE WOLF AIMS FOR PORTUGUESE RETURN, ROAN VAN DE MOOSDIJK UNDERGOES SURGERY
Following such a superb start to the 2022 FIM Motocross World Championship, Nestaan Husqvarna Factory Racing suffered a setback at the most recent stop in Argentina. Kay de Wolf was running a brilliant third in the championship standings when he crashed out of the first race and his teammate, Roan van de Moosdijk, had shown similar potential aboard his steed.
With the Grand Prix of Portugal, the fourth round, on the horizon, Kay de Wolf is eager to pick up where he left off and put his FC 250 back inside of the top five. Cleared of any broken bones last week, de Wolf eased into things by riding his mountain bike over the weekend and will get back on his bike on Wednesday. The goal is for him to be on the starting line at this weekend’s Portuguese event.
Roan van de Moosdijk has not been quite as fortunate – the shoulder that he injured at the second stop of the 2022 FIM Motocross World Championship was made worse in his Argentina crash and required surgery. A successful operation was performed late last week. Unfortunately, he is also nursing a broken collarbone and fractured left wrist that will not need surgery.
Husqvarna Factory Racing wishes Roan well in his recovery and hopes to see Kay back out on track as soon as possible.
