La storia di successo svizzera degli ultimi anni nel motocross internazionale continuerà nella prossima stagione. Il nuovo “iXS hostettler Yamaha MXGP Team” inizierà nel 2022 con i due piloti svizzeri Valentin Guillod e Kevin Brumann nel campionato mondiale di motocross di prima classe e nel campionato svizzero sportivamente attraente.
Il veloce duo Guillod e Brumann è impaziente per la nuova stagione. A 29 anni, Valentin Guillod è un veterano della scena motocross internazionale, avendo corso con successo nel Campionato del Mondo per molti anni e vincendo entrambi i titoli del campionato svizzero nel 2021. Per la prima volta nella storia del motocross, Valentin Guillod ha vinto entrambi i titoli nelle classi MX2 e MX Open.
Il diciassettenne Kevin Brumann del Canton Argovia è pronto per il suo secondo anno nella combattuta classe MX2. “Sono molto motivato e non vedo l’ora che arrivi il nuovo team con Valentin Guillod”, afferma il pilota Yamaha di Ehrendingen. “Il mio obiettivo è mostrare cosa posso fare e rimanere senza infortuni. Nel Campionato del Mondo MX2, mi piacerebbe finire tra i primi 15 e, se posso, ottenere alcuni risultati tra i primi 10”. Oltre al Campionato del Mondo, il piano è che “Brumi” gareggi in alcune gare anche nel Campionato Svizzero, a condizione che non ci siano conflitti di programmazione con il calendario del Campionato del Mondo.
Valentin Guillod dalla Svizzera romanda gareggerà anche nel Campionato Svizzero nelle categorie MX2 e MX Open nel 2022 e, inoltre, tutti i round del Campionato del Mondo nella classe MXGP che non si sovrappongono alla serie svizzera.

Responsabile come manager per “iXS hostettler Yamaha MXGP Team” è Daniel Zollinger. “Sono contento che con il nuovo iXS hostettler Yamaha MXGP Team possiamo contare su un buon mix tra gioventù ed esperienza. Con l’esperto Valentin Guillod e il giovane, emergente Kevin Brumann, dal 2022 gareggerà un’interessante coppia di corridori. Le strutture esistenti della squadra continueranno come nella stagione precedente, perché si sono dimostrate molto bene. Anche la collaborazione tra hostettler e Yamaha e l’impegno nelle corse motociclistiche, sia su strada che fuoristrada, hanno dimostrato il loro valore ed è già una tradizione.

The Swiss success story of recent years in international motocross will continue in the coming season. The newly formed “iXS hostettler Yamaha MXGP Team” will start in 2022 with the two Swiss riders Valentin Guillod and Kevin Brumann in the top-class Motocross World Championship as well as the sportingly attractive Swiss Championship.
The fast duo Guillod and Brumann are eager for the new season. At 29 years of age, Valentin Guillod is an old hand on the international motocross scene, having ridden successfully in the World Championship for many years and winning both Swiss championship titles in 2021. For the first time in the history of MX, Valentin Guillod won both titles in the MX2 and MX Open classes.
17-year-old Kevin Brumann from the canton of Aargau is ready for his second year in the hotly contested MX2 class. “I am very motivated and looking forward to the new team with Valentin Guillod,” says the Ehrendingen Yamaha rider. “My goal is to show what I can do and stay injury-free. In the MX2 World Championship, I’d like to finish in the top 15 and, if I can, get some top 10 results.” In addition to the World Championship, the plan is for “Brumi” to compete in a few races in the Swiss Championship as well, provided there are no scheduling conflicts with the World Championship calendar.
Valentin Guillod from the French-speaking part of Switzerland will also contest the Swiss Championship in the MX2 and MX Open categories in 2022 and, in addition, all the World Championship rounds in the MXGP class that do not overlap with the Swiss series.

The existing structures of the team will be continued as in the previous season, because they have proven themselves very well. The cooperation between hostettler and Yamaha and the commitment to motorbike racing, both on and off the road, has also proven its worth and is already a tradition.
